Volume 3 Winter Solstice Chapter 23 Going to Work
Guan Nuo pushed the door of the room slightly open and listened carefully. He heard nothing except the occasional sound of vehicles passing by outside the window.
He opened the door a little wider and looked outside. His mother was sitting on the sofa beside him and was clearly smiling and saying something.
After she finished her sentence, she bent down, picked up a piece of pear with a toothpick and brought it to her mouth.
Uncle Zhuang also smiled.
The sound of a keyhole turning.
The door opened and his father Zhu Hongwen walked in carrying two plastic bags.
Guan Qingtong and Zhuang Zekun stood up.
Zhuang Zekun walked to the door and said, "Hongwen, long time no see."
Zhu Hongwen changed his shoes. "Yeah, it's been eight years, right? How long do you plan to stay in Tangjiang this time?"
"About half a month."
"Where do you live now?" Zhu Hongwen asked.
"In Ning'an District, I have a small house there. I asked someone to clean it before I came."
Guan Nuo closed the door.
He half-lay down on the bed, looking at the white ceiling lamp. In the light, there was a shadowy figure with long hair and a wooden sword in his hand.
——
The midday sun fell on Jiang You's back.
He was squatting at the door of the store with an open cat bag in front of him.
He waved to Zhao Cai and said, "Come in."
Zhaocai glanced at Jiang Mo who was drawing at the long table, and walked into the cat bag obediently.
After zipping up his pants, Jiang You yawned. He turned his head and squinted at the sun. "How about we go tomorrow?"
After thinking for a while, he said, "Forget it. I've slept for two days. I need to move around today."
He stood up with the cat bag in his hand, walked over to Jiang Mo, and looked at the paper he was working on. "Is this impressionist or abstract?"
He put the cat bag on the table, pulled out the sketch paper, found a red colored pencil from the pencil case , and drew two circles, one large and one small, on the paper. He glanced at Jiang Mo, drew four straight lines on each side of the big circle, and said as he drew: "Look, this is a realistic painting, recruiting talents, see if my painting is realistic or not."
The transparent spider silk was entangled on the colored pencil, and the pencil broke in the middle.
Jiang You loosened his fingers, and the front half of the pencil fell on the table and rolled a few centimeters before stopping.
"I'm going to work hard and make money." Jiang You picked up the cat bag and walked in the direction where the light came in.
An hour later he arrived at the Tangjiang City Public Security Bureau
As soon as I opened the door, I saw the five-layer luxurious cat climbing frame on the right wall.
“Your chair has arrived,” Sun-Woo pointed to the large box lying on its side on the ground, “It arrived yesterday.”
" Let me take a look," Jiang You squatted down, put down the cat bag, unzipped it, and Zhaocai jumped out and jumped onto Sun Yu's desk. Sun Yu opened the drawer, took out a cat toy, and started to play with Zhaocai. Zhaocai pounced on it, but when it failed, it jumped off the desk and walked back with its tail erect.
Sun Yu looked at Zhao Cai's back and said, "He seems to be a little fatter than when he left. The food there is really good."
"How can it get fat in just a few days? I gave it a bath, so maybe its fur is a little fluffy." Jiang You looked up and asked Sun Yu: "Do you have scissors or a utility knife?"
Sun Yu took out a blue utility knife from the pen holder and handed it to Jiang You. Jiang You took it and started to unpack the box.
After opening the box, he first found the instruction manual, frowned as he read it for a while, and then began to assemble the chair.
"I have compiled that list."
"Let me see it when you're done."
"Brother Jiang, you can't just see that thing, right?" Sun Yu asked tentatively, "That day when we were in Zegu County, I seemed to see..."
"I know a lot," Jiang You said as he twisted the screws. "I can play some instruments, sing, slay demons, build Lego, build chairs, plant flowers..." He turned to look at Sun Yu. "Why, you want to learn?"
"I'm just asking."
After Jiang You stood up the assembled chair, he stood up.
He sat on the chair, leaning his head back against the cushion of the chair. After turning around twice, he said, "This is fine. Find Tang Butian and practice some health-preserving exercises to improve your immunity. Don't believe what's posted online. Most of them are useless, but a small part of them are somewhat useful." He looked into Sun Yu's eyes, " Why should good things be posted online for free for people to learn? Look at those self-media people nowadays. No matter if they have goods in their stomachs or not, they all have to open a paid private circle."
"That's true."
Jiang You bent down and took out two cans of Coke from under the table. After placing one can on Sun Yu's table, he unhooked the ring of the other can and took a sip. "It's just too far to come here. Otherwise, it would be nice to come to work every day and take a walk."
"Where's your shop?"
"We will reopen after the New Year. Jiang Mo has recently become interested in painting. I am thinking about enrolling him in an interest class."
Jiang You opened the photo album on his phone and showed Sun Yu the picture Jiang Mo had drawn. "The lines and colors are nice, right?"
Sun Yu thought for a moment and said, "The color combination is quite creative."
Zhaocai jumped lightly onto the cat climbing frame and then onto the filing cabinet.
Jiang You bent down and pulled out the foot pad from under the chair, took off his shoes, and put his feet on the pad. "Let's buy some wolfberries and cassia seeds to make tea, and it will be complete."
The office door opened and Tang Butian walked in.
"Section Chief." Sun Yu greeted.
Jiang You followed up by calling out, "Section Chief."
Tang Butian glanced at the recruitment page perched on top of the filing cabinet and said, "It's been five days, and we still haven't hired anyone."
"Many companies will only pay out year-end bonuses after the New Year, around March, so March and April are the peak periods for job hopping..." Jiang You looked at Tang Butian's eyes and cleared his throat. "Sun Yu has sorted out the list. It just so happens that we are all here today. Let's screen it first and find a few suitable candidates, and then we can contact them one by one?"
"good."
Tang Butian put the wooden sword on the desk and took off his coat and put it on the back of the chair.
She was wearing a light blue knitted skirt underneath .
Under the white neck, the slender collarbone is faintly visible.
Tang Butian walked to the position behind Sun Yu, pulled out a chair and sat down.
Jiang You looked up at the recruitment notice on the filing cabinet and said, "Recruitment notice, come over and help with the selection."
Zhaocai turned his head and formed a circle.
Jiang You sighed. He took out his phone and clicked on the information Sun Yu sent him. "How old is Zhao Cai?"
"Five."
"That's an old cat, equivalent to more than 30 years old in human years," Jiang You flipped through the documents, "I want to hire someone younger, lower our average age, so that we appear more energetic. What are your requirements?"
Tang Butian said: "It works. Human."
Sun Yu thought for a moment and said, "Someone with simple social connections, preferably a college degree or above."
"Then let's take a look at them one by one." Jiang You finished his Coke, adjusted the curvature of the chair back, and sat up a little straighter.
After the three people spent two hours picking and choosing the information, they finally narrowed down five people who barely met the requirements.
At this moment, the office door suddenly opened.
