Volume 3: A Tombstone Stained with Sin and Blood Chapter 136 Attempt

Hermione accepted Jon's invitation without thinking twice.
Among these rescued students, John's reputation is even higher than Dumbledore's.
Because before they knew who Dumbledore was, it was Jon who brought them out of the castle, and among these people, Hermione was the most familiar with Jon.
After all, it was the two of them who made the entire escape plan, and it was Jon who rescued Hermione, so the two naturally became friends.
So Hermione never thought of refusing John's invitation.
The next day, after the morning class, Jon and Hermione walked out of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom together.
He didn't take her to an empty classroom. It just so happened that Hagrid invited him to have afternoon tea in front of the carriage in the morning. The driving seat of the carriage was a very good place. With only Hagrid next to him, it was safe and undisturbed by others.
"Did you learn about gravity in Muggle primary school?"
Jon had never attended primary school in the UK, and he was not sure whether the courses he had taken in the orphanage were the same as those in primary schools outside.
Hermione was a little confused as to why Jon asked such a question. She looked up and thought for a moment. Her previous memories as an ordinary Muggle student had become blurred .
But is she a stupid person after all? She has not forgotten everything she learned in elementary school.
"Gravity? We learned it in fifth grade." Hermione said confidently, "In the last chapter of fifth grade science class, the teacher specifically taught us knowledge related to force, including gravity, friction, and the principle of leverage."
Jon was not surprised by this. Science courses have always been highly valued in the UK, and the courses have been offered since the first grade. There are six academic years in total, so students must have learned a lot of knowledge relatively speaking.
"Do you still remember the concept of gravity?"
Hermione nodded hesitantly.
"I still remember everything the teacher taught me..." She turned to look at Jon, "But...what role does this knowledge have in the wizarding world? The existence of magic means that a lot of scientific knowledge will be overturned."
Jon didn't say it directly, nor did he deny Hermione's words, he just said it casually.
"I just have some ideas on this and wanted you to try it out. Wait till you get to Hagrid and I'll tell you what we're going to do when we get there."
They walked along the long corridor of the carriage until they came to the end opposite to Headmaster Dumbledore's office. The door leading to the driver's seat was only half-closed, as if Hagrid had left it for Jon.
He opened the door and walked out of the carriage with Hermione.
The breeze, muffled by the protective spell, blew past them, lifting a corner of their robes and the hair on their foreheads.
The carriage was galloping along the edge of a large lake, its wheels rolling over the lush green grass without leaving any tracks.
This seemingly ordinary and shabby carriage is actually attached with a large amount of magic. Otherwise, even if Voldemort did not want to cut off Dumbledore's last hope, they would not have been able to be exiled for so long in this dangerous wizarding world.
When Jon and Hermione came over, Hagrid was chatting with someone in the driver's seat. When they turned around, they saw clearly that the person next to Hagrid was not someone at all, but Gabrielle, who was brought to the carriage yesterday.
"Jon!"
Under the light, the little girl seemed even more unreal as she waved and greeted Jon crisply. After seeing them, Hagrid brought out the tea and desserts that he had prepared in advance.
"Good afternoon, Jon. I thought you would bring Neville and the others here." Hagrid smiled and turned his gaze to Hermione. "I know this girl. Her name is Hermione Granger, right? A very brave girl. If that old hat could still be sorted, she would definitely be a perfect Gryffindor."
When Hagrid invited him, Jon told him in advance that he would bring someone with him. Before, Neville and Ron and the others had come with Jon to the driver's seat of the carriage to chat with Hagrid, so Hagrid didn't care about this matter.
He just didn't expect that the person Jon brought was Hermione.
Hermione could tell that Hagrid was praising her. During her summer vacation working in a bookstore, she had sneaked a peek at the banned book "Hogwarts: A History". She was naturally very clear about the sorting of freshmen by Hogwarts and the qualities that each house represented.
Her face turned slightly red, and she reached out to smooth her long hair that was blown in front of her face by the wind.
"I'm not as brave as you say. Just call me Hermione."
Jon looked at Gabrielle in confusion and asked.
"What brings you to Hagrid's place?"
"You all went to class in the morning. Gabrielle didn't want to disturb you, but she was bored in the carriage."
She sounded very happy, so she called out her own name instead of "I".
"Then invite Gabrielle in here and chat with him when Hagrid comes into the carriage for breakfast."
"It's really great here!" She seemed to be having a great time chatting with Hagrid, and she no longer had the timidity she had when she first got on the carriage. "Hagrid drove the carriage through a pasture this morning! There were so many cows there that Gabrielle could even touch the horns of a cow when she was close!"
Seeing that Gabrielle didn't show smile.
Who doesn't like an innocent child?
The driving seat of the carriage was very large, with enough room for Hagrid to lie down. Now even with the addition of Jon, Hermione, and Gabrielle, who took up no space at all in her ghost form, it still seemed very spacious.
Hagrid knew that Jon brought Hermione with him to do some experiments, so he did not disturb them. Instead, he and Gabrielle, who was in the driving seat, used Transfiguration to create a long-handled fishing net, trying to catch a fish from the lake beside them while driving at high speed.
"I heard from Neville that you learned the levitation spell very quickly and mastered it completely on the third day after you came to the carriage?" Jon asked.
Hermione also drew out her wand and nodded.
"Casting spells with a wand is not as difficult as casting spells with gestures. In addition, there are many similarities between the two different methods of casting spells, so it is easier for me to learn. Hamton and Ariel have also learned the levitation spell. Professor Flitwick is very satisfied with this progress."
Jon looked at Hermione and asked tentatively.
"When you were learning the levitation spell, did you ever think about what kind of force this spell created to exert an effect on objects and make them float?"
