Volume 2 Cold Dew Chapter 74 Leaves
Tang Butian walked into the store somewhat unsteadily.
The blood that flowed along the way was absorbed by the spider silk.
"Kind of stupid, huh?"
"We were pretty stupid back then," Jiang You took a few steps forward, "Okay, we're getting off. It was so stuck that I couldn't breathe."
The gate opened.
The wind blew into the yard.
Jiang Mo let go of his hands, leaned his body back, kicked his legs back, and jumped to the ground.
"What should we have for dinner?" Jiang You thought as he walked to the camphor tree, pulled down two leaves, and then walked into the store.
I went to the kitchen first, found a glass, threw the camphor leaves into it, and poured two-thirds of the cup of hot water.
After going upstairs with the cup, he heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom. He thought about it, walked to the bedroom, pulled out a storage box from under the bed, and took out the first aid kit.
Walking to the bathroom door, he asked, "Do you want a bandage?"
"want."
He opened the door and threw a roll of bandage in.
"Want some clothes? They're mine, washed."
"want."
Jiang You went back to the room and rummaged around, finding a dark red long-sleeved T-shirt and a pair of khaki sports trousers with laces.
Throw it in again.
More than ten minutes later, Tang Butian came out wearing Jiang You's clothes.
The clothes and pants were very big and hung loosely on the body.
After putting on the coat, the whole person looks bulging.
Very stupid.
"Don't you have any healing pills?" Jiang You asked, looking at Tang Butian's paler lips. "Take one that can cure both external and internal injuries."
"I don't."
"Does it hurt?"
Tang Butian didn't answer him.
Jiang You walked over to her with a cup and put it in her hand, "Drink some hot water."
Tang Butian stared at the dense water droplets covering the surface of the leaves.
She took a sip.
No taste.
"I'm going to borrow a car. You can come down after you rest for ten minutes."
"good."
Ten minutes later, Jiang You drove the van and took Tang Butian out of Wenhua Street.
Jiang You glanced at Tang Butian, who had her arms folded across her chest, and said, "It's not bad to use what I want as a starting point, but it's stupid to make yourself half dead."
After finishing speaking, Jiang You thought for a moment and added, "I didn't make it all up."
"Half a minute, and I lose."
"That's because he's in a good mood and wants to fight with you."
"Yeah?"
"I was planning to handle the reading club myself, and you got stabbed for nothing."
"I've always wanted to try it." Tang Butian's voice lowered a little.
Jiang You turned his head and looked at her. Her head was leaning against the car window with her eyes half closed.
"How do you calculate the sparring fee and venue fee?"
The eyelashes trembled slightly.
"Are you okay?"
"fine."
"Time is a bit tight."
"What?"
The car turned a corner and drove onto the elevated road. "Didn't the bleeding stop?"
"Um."
"Scrambled eggs with tomatoes for dinner?"
He didn't hear Tang Butian's answer.
After sending Tang Butian home, Jiang You drove to Tangjiang Cancer Hospital and walked into Nan Kongkong's ward with familiarity.
Seeing Jiang You walk into the ward, Nan Kongkong tried hard to force a smile.
Zheng Ying was originally sitting in a chair, dozing on the bed. When she heard the noise, she raised her head. Her eye bags had grown bigger, and her nasolabial folds had deepened. She stood up and said, "You came to see Xiaonan again. Sit down..."
Seeing Zheng Ying was about to give up her seat, Jiang You quickly said, "Auntie, you sit down. I'll stand for a while. I'm trying to lose weight."
He looked at Nan Kongkong and said, "You look good today. You haven't been to Tangjiang yet, right? When you feel better, I'll take you there."
Hearing this, Nan Kongkong looked out the window and asked, "Is it cold outside?"
"It's a bit cold. It's okay where the sun shines. The wind is very strong and it hurts a bit when it blows on my face." Jiang You looked at Nan Kongkong's expression, "Do you want to go out for a walk? I happened to drive here today."
"I can't stand up. I don't have the strength."
“Wheelchairs are available for rent in the lobby downstairs.”
Zheng Ying's voice interrupted, "It's so cold outside, Xiaonan, you can't be exposed to the wind now."
"Mom, I want to go out for a walk. I want to see the outside world."
Zheng Ying stopped talking.
Jiang You said: “I’ll go rent a wheelchair and wait for you outside the ward.”
More than 20 minutes later, Nan Kongkong walked out of the ward with the help of Zheng Ying.
She changed out of her hospital gown and put on black down pants, snow boots and a thick white down jacket.
Put on the hat.
Jiang You pushed Nan Kongkong out of the ward building. The cold wind blew on her face and she subconsciously shrank her head.
Pushed to the hospital parking lot.
Nan Kongkong looked at the half-old van with various scratches on its surface and asked, "Is this your car?"
"I borrowed it. I can't even afford a license plate."
He opened the car door, carried Nan Kongkong to the passenger seat, then folded the wheelchair and put it in the back.
Jiang You got in the car and after closing the door, he asked, "Where do you want to go?"
“I want to go somewhere lively.”
"Then go to Changping Square and drive over from Linjiang Bridge. The scenery along the way is great."
The van turned a corner and then swerved.
"Does it hurt?"
"I took a painkiller injection. There is no point in treatment anymore," Nan Kongkong looked out the window. "Everyone donated a lot of money to me. The beds in the cancer hospital are very tight. Shanshan asked many people for help on my behalf." Nan Kongkong paused and said, "You also kept visiting me."
"The atmosphere in the group is good, it's all your hard work. I opened a store on Wenhua Street, but the business is not so good this year. It's not easy to do business now. I wanted to give up, but then I found out about the reading club. I can read books quietly every day, check in, and communicate with group members. I am not so impetuous."
Nan Kongkong smiled and said, "Reading brings strength."
"Yes. It's positive energy."
“There are very few men who can really identify with us.”
"Most of the customers who come to my store are women, and many of them love reading and traveling. Maybe that's the reason. So I hope the group can maintain the current atmosphere."
Cross Linjiang Avenue, arrive at Changping Square, and find a parking space.
Jiang You pushed Nan Kongkong and walked slowly in the square. Advertisements for Christmas events were playing on large billboards around them.
"I don't think I'll make it to Christmas."
"Not necessarily. Set a small goal, first Christmas, then New Year's Day, then Spring Festival, and then the new year."
"I can't accept this," Nan Kongkong closed his eyes. "I have sacrificed so much for my work, but all my plans were rejected simply because I am a woman. I clearly prayed to the goddess, why..."
Nan Kongkong looked at the Christmas tree in the center of Changping Square.
She repeated, "I won't give up."
Jiang You didn't respond.
After a long silence, Nan Kongkong spoke again, "Shanshan is a nurse. She is very busy at work and has to work the night shift. The day after tomorrow, Teacher Wu Ya will come over."
"Is this Mr. Wu from the last live show?"
"It was her. Shanshan said you wanted to be a manager, so I recommended you to her. She is one of the founders of the reading club, and she taught us how to manage each group."
"Did she ask to see me?"
"She came to see Shanshan."
"I see, thank you, I'll take this opportunity."
