Volume 14: Devastation Chapter 696: The So-Called Perfect Infiltration
"You don't want to silence me, do you?" Aya glanced at him.
"Of course... no, but if this guy wakes up, it will be troublesome, right?"
Aya didn't respond. Instead, she took out a syringe from her bag, removed the protective cover, and inserted the needle into the unconscious man's biceps.
"What is this? Poison?" Ke Lan couldn't help but ask.
"A medicine that can allow a person to sleep peacefully for more than six hours. Of course, the prerequisite is that the other person cannot be a strengthened person and has not received the corresponding drug resistance modification." Aya crushed the glass bulb at the tail of the syringe, and the compressed air stored in the glass bulb quickly pushed the liquid medicine into the man's body.
Judging from the man's muscle strength and ability to withstand blows, it is obvious that he has not undergone any surgery to strengthen or transform his body.
But to be on the safe side, Ke Lan took off her socks and stuffed them into his mouth, then tied up his hands and feet with plastic straps and threw him into a cubicle.
"To be honest, I think this plan sounds a little unreliable." Aya walked to the window at the end of the toilet and looked down.
This department store is 22 stories high, while the Nova Chamber of Commerce headquarters across the street is only eight stories high. From here, you can overlook the rooftop of the Nova Chamber of Commerce headquarters.
There is a helicopter pad with an "H" painted on it on the roof, but there is no helicopter parked on it and there are no signs of human activity nearby.
Ke Lan's plan was to swing from the top floor of the department store to the rooftop of the Nova Chamber of Commerce via a zipline, and then sneak into the Chamber of Commerce headquarters from the rooftop.
This method is better than walking directly into the Chamber of Commerce door.
"Has the power supply department completed the dispatch?" Ke Lan asked.
"Well, you can turn off the lights at any time." Aya nodded.
"Then I'll leave this rough work to you. Asano Akira and I don't have any tools with us."
Aya didn't say much, but walked to the glass curtain wall on the far right and stretched out her hand.
With a series of clicks as the mechanism turned, the white and slender palm broke into more than a dozen parts. Small and precise tools emerged from the inside of the palm and began to dismantle the piece of glass that was taller than her.
Aya moved quickly. In less than five minutes, the entire piece of glass was separated from the curtain wall. Eight auxiliary robotic arms extending from the inside of her elbows carefully moved the glass in and leaned it against the wall on one side of the toilet.
"Prepare to turn off the lights. I'll count to three." Ke Lan fastened a metal safety buckle to his belt. "After the lights go out, you will immediately launch the zipline. One, two, three!"
In an instant, the entire block was plunged into darkness, with only a few emergency lighting devices with built-in power supplies still emitting small amounts of light.
Because the Ark's power supply lines were damaged and under maintenance in recent days, such large-scale power outages occur almost every now and then, so they are unlikely to arouse suspicion from others.
"The power outage will only last fifteen seconds." After Aya said this, a steel cable shot out from her arm and fixed on the fence outside the roof of the Nova Chamber of Commerce headquarters.
The sound of the steel cable being launched was completely drowned out by the brief commotion below caused by the power outage, and no one noticed that there was a black cable as thick as a thumb above their heads, between the two buildings.
"Asano Akira, you're first." Ke Lan said.
He was placed in the first place not only because Asano Akira was the strongest among the three, but also because he was equivalent to a small human sonar. If the Nova Chamber of Commerce arranged a secret sentry on the roof, Asano Akira would be able to discover it and "deal with" it in the first place.
The pulley group filled with lubricant made a slight "humming" sound, and in less than five seconds, Asano Akira had swung to the roof of the opposite building.
"There's no one here." After landing, Asano Akira immediately replied in the communication channel.
The second one was Ke Lan, and Aya came last.
By the time Aya pulled back the cable, the entire block had regained light.
"The timing is very precise." Ke Lan gave Aya a thumbs up.
Aya restored her broken prosthetic limb to its original state and ignored Ke Lan.
The only flaw in this plan is the glass curtain wall that was removed from the top floor of the department store... Although people nearby generally don't look up to see it, it is still quite conspicuous if you look from a distance.
"I have already notified a team on standby nearby. They will enter the men's restroom disguised as repairmen within ten minutes and restore the glass curtain wall." Aya noticed Ke Lan's eyes and spoke.
"Ten minutes..." Ke Lan really wanted to say, "I hope this flaw won't be the only flaw in the whole plan," but when he thought that this sentence might be a stab in the back, he finally didn't say it.
"Let's go." Ke Lan said.
The three of them moved to the staircase almost silently. Asano Akira squatted down and placed his palms on the ground... Two seconds later, he nodded: "There is no one behind the door, and there is no one on the lower floor."
Aya's prosthetic limb changed shape again and quickly pried open the rooftop door.
The narrow corridor was dark. Although electricity had been restored in this area, it seemed that the lights on the top floor of the Nova Chamber of Commerce headquarters had not been turned on before.
Ke Lan pressed a button on the outside of the sunglasses frame. With the light on the lenses floating, the sunglasses instantly turned into a cleverly disguised low-light night vision device.
As for the other two people, Aya's eyes had long been replaced with prosthetic eyes, which have built-in night vision function, while Asano Akira does not need vision at all, so naturally there is no need to equip herself with night vision goggles.
There are more than a dozen rooms on the top floor of the New Star Chamber of Commerce, but most of them are idle and empty, filled with some renovation waste and discarded office desks and chairs. The walls and ceilings also completely retain the original color of cement, without any signs of decoration.
It’s not that the people from the New Star Chamber of Commerce didn’t turn on the lights on the top floor, but that there were no lights installed in these rooms at all.
A bunch of electrical wires stuck out from the reserved holes in the ceiling and walls , covered with thick dust.
There were no valuable clues on this floor. Ke Lan gestured downward, and the three of them walked towards the stairs.
But soon, Asano Akira, who was walking in front, stopped and whispered, "There is a bodyguard on the staircase platform between the eighth and seventh floors."
Ke Lan cautiously approached the stairs and looked down—that was not a bodyguard, but a fully armed guard with an automatic weapon in his hands!
"I could vaguely hear some unusual moving sounds inside his chest..." Asano Akira added after getting closer.
"The 'container' of the Seed of Erosion?" Ke Lan frowned. If he was still skeptical before, now it has basically been confirmed that the Nova Chamber of Commerce is the remnant of a heretical sect.
Asano Akira nodded.
"Do you want to take a detour?" Aya asked.
"Let me handle it." Ke Lan shook his head and gently shook his arm. The deer hunting knife slipped out of his sleeve, and the handle wrapped with anti-slip tape fell into his palm.
The so-called perfect infiltration only requires you to kill everyone who sees you.
