Volume 1 Jiangdong Fengyun Chapter 18 Combination Punch
Bai Tu's "Improved Papermaking" is almost finished, and so is "Movable Type Printing"...
After all, there are no technical difficulties at all, and the corresponding information is also complete.
The papermaking technology was probably at the level of the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and was still a little far from the bamboo paper of the Tang Dynasty. However, it was more than enough for printing, the only problem was the quality of the books!
According to the current formula, the cost is already sufficient for civilian use - of course, if that's all, ordinary people should still have no motivation to buy it. After all, it's a turbulent time and so many people are being drawn in, it's good enough if everyone can have enough to eat.
However, during these three months, Bai Tu himself was not idle, but wrote (chao) several books.
His hard drive contains not only various industrial and agricultural data, but also literary works!
However, what Bai Tu created now were not literary works, but enlightenment reading materials, mainly four of which were respectively improved upon "Kaimeng Yaoxun", "Three Character Classic", "Dui Xiang Shi Zi" and "Qieyun".
There are no popular enlightenment reading materials in the world today - that is, books specifically for teaching children. After all, paper was not yet popular, and education was the province of the aristocratic families, so there was no such thing as popular education.
Now that we have cheap paper and printing technology, Bai Tu is planning to write a few elementary school reading materials!
As for the choice of reading materials, those that are too far out of date are not good. As for modern primary school textbooks, Bai Tu does agree with them, but they are too different from today's world view and values. If he writes about them, I am afraid that not only will no one learn them, but Bai Tu himself will also be slandered.
The elementary school textbooks during the Ming and Qing dynasties were not good either. They were too heavy on the flavor of ethics and morality, and were basically the products of corrupt scholars. Bai Tu himself felt sick reading them.
Therefore, we can only choose more recent ones, and then slightly modify and delete some of them - as we all know, if we delete some excerpts slightly, it will be our own work and we can add the author's name!
Among the four books selected by Bai Tu, "Kaimeng Yaoxun" was first used in the Tang Dynasty and was still in use in the Five Dynasties. It is a book that combines commonly used words with moral education and is compiled into four-word sentences with catchy rhymes.
"Reading Words by Diagrams" is actually a type of book, which means "reading words by looking at pictures". It appeared in the Yuan Dynasty, and Bai Tu found it very practical.
The Three Character Classic is even more famous. It first appeared in the Song Dynasty and has been updated many times since then...
Bai Tu did not make many changes to the first two, but he made a lot of deletions to "Three Character Classic".
First of all, the section that talks about the change of dynasties in history must be deleted, otherwise it will not be a "primary school textbook" but a book of prophecy and revelation!
Secondly, Bai Tu made a lot of deletions to the passages with a strong ethical color. Bai Tu firmly believed that in any relationship, whether between the monarch and his subjects, father and son, or husband and wife, respect should be mutual, and any theory that violates this principle is a heresy.
The same is true of Confucius's "The ruler should be a ruler, the minister should be a minister, the father should be a father, and the son should be a son." A ruler should act like a ruler, and a minister should act like a minister. However, the revised Three Bonds and Five Constant Virtues in the sense completely ignores the obligations of rulership, paternity, and husbandship.
Not to mention that Bai Tu is not a follower of Confucius at all. Many of Confucius' original intentions are unacceptable to Bai Tu, who accepts modern values.
If given a choice, Bai Tu still prefers elementary school textbooks.
Although the status of Confucianism today is not as distortedly lofty as it was in later generations, Confucianism was indeed the orthodoxy after Dong Zhongshu abolished all other schools of thought.
If it is not a matter of principle, Bai Tu is willing to lean on Confucius and take advantage of his popularity.
As for the future...even if Confucius didn't mean this, the white picture can be "distorted" right?
Others can change it, but I can’t?
The "Three Character Classic", especially the "Three Character Classic" before the Ming and Qing dynasties, actually does not need to be deleted too much. After all, there is nothing wrong with the basic loyalty and filial piety.
Bai Tu was very humble when writing it, knowing that his level was low. The so-called rewrite actually meant more deletions and less revisions.
If it was changed to something like "The Rules of Being a Good Pupil and Child", Bai Tu took a look... If I delete all of it, I'm afraid there won't be many sentences left!
Only in the last part, "Qieyun", Bai Tu has more original parts.
The original book of "Qieyun" was completed in the Sui Dynasty. It is equivalent to a reference book that provides phonetic notation for characters. The content of the original book is no longer traceable, but a large number of revised editions have been circulated in later generations.
However, there are no letters in Qieyun, and its pinyin method is somewhat anti-human - for example, "当" is marked as "都朗切". "切" is a verb, which means to cut these two words together. It can be simply considered that it is the initial consonant of "都" and the final vowel of "朗", which is pronounced as "当".
As for how to pronounce "都" and "郎"? Go find a teacher to learn it yourself!
Bai Tu basically spent the past three months studying "Qieyun". Fortunately, the language in this world was surprisingly different from the language before Bai Tu traveled through time, with only slight differences - Bai Tu's accent sounded only slightly strange to Lu Lingqi.
Therefore, Bai Tu chose to refer to the pinyin letters, first wrote the basic pinyin totem, and then marked it...
Only a few hundred commonly used characters are marked, and the other three primers are also marked. As for the uncommon ones, Bai Tu can't tell you how to read them!
After all, Lu Lingqi and the others are all from Bingzhou, so who knows whether her accent is Bingzhou dialect.
Everything is ready, and Bai Tu is ready to show off his achievements on this auspicious day.
In theory, the documents that can be directly submitted to Da Han Ji must be extremely important events. However, Bai Tu had Xiao Pei Ji try it out before and found that whether it was the technology of improving papermaking and movable type printing, or the four books of elementary education, they were all within this range...
Come to think of it, this represents the popularization of paper and printing, as well as the great progress in enlightenment education!
Its significance is so profound that it may even exceed the rise of an earth dragon or the flood of a yellow dragon...
Moreover, Bai Tu did not feel bad about uploading these to Da Han Ji. It was a great thing in itself and he did not want to hide it.
As for making money from papermaking?
Bai Tu has better papermaking technology that has not been revealed yet, and you can make money by making high-quality books at that time.
More importantly, if I really hide all of these for my own use, I'm afraid that some people who don't want paper to be popular may want to take the white pictures.
On the contrary, as long as the white map is handed over to the Great Han Princess, it will spread all over the world in an instant. It will be useless for anyone to dislike him. Moreover, after it is handed over to the Great Han Princess, this credit will be invincible. By then, he will have a great reputation. Even if he cannot be called a "saint on the spot", at least he can make all evil retreat...
And now Bai Tu also knows that when he makes great contributions to the country and the people, there is a chance that he will awaken his own unique strategy.
Now Bai Tu’s official seal is still empty without any strategy, so he will naturally not miss out on such tangible benefits.
"What kind of unique strategy can this combination of punches inspire? It shouldn't be too bad..." Bai Tu looked sloppy, with a look of excitement and nervousness.
At the same time, Chen Gong also called Lu Lingqi to go to the county magistrate's office... No, now it should be called the county governor's office, to find Bai Tu!
Bai Tu's situation was really not right. For three whole months, he could only go out a few times.
Lu Lingqi had just awakened the military token and possessed the armor. She had been training diligently in recent days and had come to see Bai Tu less frequently. Chen Gong was usually busy with military affairs, and he only came to see what Bai Tu was doing a few days ago - how come after using the corvée manpower, he didn't do anything?
It turned out that Bai Tu's condition was very disturbing. When I saw him, his eyes were red and his face was not very good. Unfortunately, Chen Gong had never seen an author who was in a hurry to finish his manuscript, so he couldn't describe it...
The brain monster thought that Bai Tu’s recent period of confusion had reached its peak, causing his emotions to fluctuate too violently. Because it lasted for too long, he was really worried, so he called Lu Lingqi, who was good friends with Bai Tu, to try to persuade him.
However, just before arriving at the government office...
Suddenly, thousands of colorful lights descended from the sky. The scene of the birth of a great sage, which was only described in books, appeared above the government office...
