Volume 1 Chapter 034: Life and Death Game

I became more and more worried about Uncle San's safety, so I turned around and got down from the boulder and hurried to the tomb. I had an inexplicable premonition that this matter was most likely related to the green-faced fox in the tomb. I had long felt that the old woman was abnormal, but I didn't remind Uncle San in time to be on guard. Damn it!
When I rushed to the bottom of the cliff panting, I found that the cave entrance that was originally blocked with large rocks had been opened by someone, and large rocks were rolling all over the ground.
I felt hatred and fear in my heart. The layout of this tomb was obviously not something to be messed with. These idiots went in and messed around. They were really looking for death!
I was just about to push aside the vines and crawl into the cave when I suddenly saw something out of the corner of my eye. My heart skipped a beat and I slowly turned sideways. I saw what seemed to be a person lying about ten steps to the right side of the cave.
I looked at him for a few seconds and was shocked. He was wearing a dark blue Tang suit. Among our group, there was only one person who could wear a Tang suit all day long, and that person's surname was Zhong!
My face turned pale and I ran towards him, shouting a few times as I ran, but there was no response. When I got close, the first thing I smelled was a pungent smell of blood. The dead man was lying face down on the ground, with a pool of blood nearby. Half of his Tang suit was stained dark brown by blood. At his right shoulder, an arm was broken, revealing the white bones.
I shouted several times, but he didn't respond, so I knelt on the ground, hugged his shoulders and pulled him over. My scalp went numb when I saw him. The dead man's face was originally white and gentle, but now it was extremely terrifying. His eyes were only two black bloody holes. His remaining hand was covered with blood, and it seemed that he was holding something.
I took a closer look and was immediately horrified. It turned out to be a pair of eyeballs. It seemed that he had dug out his eyes himself!
I reached out and felt around his neck, and there was still a very weak pulse. I immediately pulled out a syringe from my waist, which I had asked the doctor for in the Gu family's tent, and picked up a three-edged needle, and stabbed the dead man's face several times. But every time I stabbed him, my heart was clenched. His arm had been broken for a long time, and the blood had long been drained. No matter how many times I acupunctured him, it would be useless.
In fact, according to common sense, he should have died long ago. I don’t know how he managed to survive until now.
"It's you." The dead man's cracked lips suddenly moved. The sound was extremely weak, but I still heard it.
I leaned over and whispered in his ear, "Yes, it's me. What happened? Where's my third uncle? Don't move!" I tore off my clothes and bandaged his wound.
Dead Face said weakly, "You still owe me a favor."
I nodded repeatedly: "That's right, just hold on, I haven't repaid you the favor yet." The pain of a broken arm and having both eyes gouged out, even a strong man might not be able to endure this kind of pain, but the dead man's face, like a zombie, was still calm, and his voice didn't tremble at all. I really don't know what kind of freak this guy is.
Yes, I admit it, I am a little freak, and in comparison, he is a big freak!
"Go to the small room where you were locked up last time and take out a box. I'll give you everything. Is that okay?" asked the dead-faced man in a weak voice.
I said okay, and told him to stop talking and save some strength. But this time the dead face ignored me. I looked up and saw a slight smile on his expressionless zombie face. I put my trembling hands on his neck and probed for a long time.
Dead Face is dead.
His blood had already been drained out. I don’t know how he managed to hold on until this point, but in the end, there was nothing he could do.
I got up from the ground, feeling an inexplicable sadness in my heart. We had been enemies since the first time I met this man, and some of the things he did often made me grit my teeth in hatred. But now that he had passed away without a sound, I felt an indescribable confusion.
He pinched his palm hard with his fingers, turned around and ran towards the cave. I am particularly worried about the safety of my third uncle now, old man, you must not be in any danger!
He pulled aside the vines and crawled in.
As soon as I entered the cave, I smelled a bloody smell coming out of it. My heart skipped a beat and I stopped. I carefully looked inside for a while, but didn't hear any unusual noises. Then I tried to keep my voice as low as possible and sneaked in.
The ground was covered with bloodstains. I felt more and more uneasy. My body was numb and my heart was pounding as if it was about to jump out of my chest. I kept praying, "Feng Laosan, please don't get into trouble. We agreed to go home and build a new building! You can't lie to me!"
The smell of blood was getting stronger and stronger, but it was very quiet, and I couldn't hear any sound. I was flustered and felt my feet slip as soon as I stepped into the tomb. I almost fell, and the smell of blood went straight into my nose.
I took a closer look and almost cried out. The tomb was filled with dark red sticky blood. There were more than a dozen human heads on the ground, stacked in a weird shape. Even though I was used to seeing corpses, I almost vomited when I saw this scene. I felt my eyes go dark, and I suppressed my fear as I looked at the heads one by one.
There were thirteen heads in total, all of which looked familiar. They were all from the Liu family and the hired strong men. Among them was the head of the old village chief, with his eyes wide open, terrified, and with his eyes open. I looked at them several times to confirm that my third uncle's head was not among them.
He stood up and immediately turned to look at the green-faced fox. He saw that the black stone statue had been broken in the middle, and the iron chain that was originally tied to the statue had also broken into several pieces and scattered on the ground. Half of the broken statue fell to the ground, and a closer look revealed that it was actually an empty shell.
I remembered the vivid eyes I saw at the beginning, and I couldn't help but be shocked. There must be something evil hidden in this green-faced fox statue, which somehow controlled the dead old woman and made her do something here. As a result, the thing escaped and brought disaster to everyone who came here.
My whole body was numb and cold sweat broke out on my back. I quickly glanced at the tomb and saw that the coffin of the original owner was still there. Although the tomb was splattered with blood, the area around the coffin was clean without a drop of blood.
The coffins of Lin Wenjing and Liu Nan were intact, but they were splattered with blood, which looked very scary. The twelve coffin-guarding tomb figurines and four bronze magic mirrors that were originally arranged in front were all destroyed!
Thirteen human heads were stacked in the room, reflecting the bloody blood, which looked particularly strange. I suddenly found a very strange and puzzling question. There were so many human heads here, so where were the bodies of these people? Where did they go?
My mind was in a mess, and I didn't know what to do for a moment. I thought that my uncle might have gone out of the cave, so I prepared to leave the cave first. At this moment, I heard a loud bang, and the whole tomb shook. I was knocked to the ground by the air wave, and I heard a rumbling sound in my ears.
When I got up from the ground and ran out of the tomb, I saw that the cave I came from had completely collapsed and was blocked by rocks and mud.
I felt dizzy. There was such a big noise outside, obviously a landslide. This cave entrance was the only entrance and exit, and now that it had collapsed, there was no way out.
There was only a small opening on the top of the cave outside the tomb, through which light came in. But the opening was too small, and the cave ceiling was too high for people to climb up.
I circled around in the cave again and again, like an ant on a hot pot, hoping that my third uncle would see the knot I tied at the entrance of the valley and come to the cave to save me. But even if my third uncle knew I was in there, looking at the landslide, he would not be able to dig me out for ten days or half a month, and by then I would probably have already met my death.
After struggling outside for most of the day, I couldn't find any other way out, so I sat down on the ground and rested for a while.
I didn't want to go into that tomb again. There were so many heads there, even though I was used to seeing corpses, I still felt terrified. Especially the old village chief, he was very kind to me when he was alive, but now he has died without a complete body.
It was all that damn witch's fault! I cursed in my heart, thinking of the unknown life and death of my third uncle, the tragic death of Dead Face on the spot, and so many people dying in a foreign land. I couldn't help but feel confused and angry, gnashing my teeth in hatred.
After sitting for a while, I felt a little dazed, and vaguely heard a "click" sound, and after a while, another sound. I woke up suddenly, and the direction of the sound was from the tomb.
I was horrified, and I got up and hid at the door of the tomb, holding my breath and listening for a moment. Then there were several more strange noises, which seemed to come from the two coffins containing Lin Wenjing and Liu Nan.
I shuddered and my hair stood on end. I had been through so many things these days that I almost forgot about these two aunts.
Originally, Third Uncle and Dead Face decided to bury them both here because they were attracted by the corpse-suppressing formation formed by the twelve tomb figurines and four magic mirrors in the tomb. But now the tomb figurines and the magic mirrors were destroyed, and they could no longer play the role of sealing the tomb.
Back then, outside the Liu family mansion, it was because of me that the ghost girl surnamed Liu fell into the trap and was suppressed by Uncle San and Dead Face. If this ghost girl really breaks out of the coffin, my fate will be worse than death!
I felt around and found only a bag of ancient copper coins with boy's eyebrows on them, which I had brought with me for self-defense. I took them out and placed seven coins on each side of the two coffins, in a row. Ancient copper coins with boy's eyebrows on them are called "tongmei" in our business. They are pure yang objects, specially used to restrain the evil spirits.
But that devilish girl from the Liu family is too vicious. Unless I have the ability to make a dead face, calculate the distribution of the seven levels of the earth veins, and set up a seven-star soul-sealing formation in this tomb, I might be able to hold on for a day or two.
As for the "Straight Eyebrow" formation I have arranged now, it is the only formation I can set up at the moment. Although its power is limited, it is better than nothing.
I held the remaining Tongmei in my hand and stared at the coffin, waiting for something to break out of the coffin, and then I would throw it over. It was a pity that I had used up all the fine sand that the dead face gave me last time, otherwise I would have used it here and it would have hit the target with every throw.
But even if the fine-scale sand could block the ghost's eyes for a while, the exit of the cave was blocked at this time, and I had no way to escape.
No matter what, this is a dead end!
I watched anxiously for a long time, and I didn't know whether it was because of the "straight eyebrows" or some other reason, but the two coffins suddenly became quiet again. I was about to breathe a sigh of relief when I suddenly heard a "snatch".
The sound was very short and clear, with a faint sound of breaking through the air. I was startled and looked back. The sound seemed to come from the direction where the coffin of the original tomb owner was parked. But after a few glances, I didn't find anything unusual.
I was a little worried, so I stood up and went to check it out. After taking a few steps, I heard the sound of "snatch" again. This time I heard it clearly, and when I looked closely, I gasped and my hair stood on end.
The "snatching" sound turned out to be a Green Dragon Evil-Suppressing Nail jumping out from the ground!
