Volume 1 Chapter 006 Do you want corpse oil?
The wind that had been blowing in our direction suddenly stopped, and the river seemed to be still. Our boat was stationary in the river. Then the originally clear water began to become turbid, and the water seemed to be boiling. Many fish jumped out of the water, and strangely stood up in the air, then turned white and floated on the water.
We were all shocked by this bizarre scene. The four coffin bearers knelt down and kowtowed to the coffin, refusing to do anything else. Finally, Uncle San had to give up the funeral.
After carrying the coffin back to my house, the four men fled from our village without looking back, as if they had seen a ghost.
Uncle San was sitting at the table, frowning and dazed. I went to cook first. After finishing the meal and clearing the dishes, I sat down, patted the table, and said seriously: "Feng Laosan, I have to have a good talk with you!"
Uncle San looked at me in surprise and said with a smile, "Excuse me, Brother Lu Jing, what do you want to talk about?"
I told you to be serious and talk about serious matters!
Uncle San said "oh" and stopped laughing. I said with a straight face, "Feng Laosan, tell me the truth about what you found out during your trip. Don't try to hide it from me, I have half the say in the family!"
Uncle San looked at me and told me the truth.
It turned out that he had searched the area within dozens of miles of our village, asking around to find out which families had recently lost someone. Later, his efforts paid off, and he really found the young man who had delivered the coffin to my house.
In Huangji Town, about thirty miles away from our village, there is a wealthy family with the surname Liu. The young man with a sickly face is a member of the Liu family, named Liu Zi'an.
"Then who is this female corpse in our house from the Liu family?" I asked.
Uncle San smiled strangely and said, "The interesting thing is this. No one living near the Liu family knows that a little girl died in the Liu family."
This is really interesting! Judging from the scar on the back of the little girl's head, she was probably smashed to death, but the matter was kept secret and she was buried quietly. Why?
I said, since we know who it belongs to, we might as well send the coffin back to them and not take the business, or call the police directly!
Uncle San chuckled and shook his head, saying, "It's not that simple. It's easier to invite a god than to send him away!"
After some discussion, Uncle San went out again with his bag on his back. He said he was going to the town again to find out the truth, and asked me to stay at home and watch over the coffin for a few days.
I also know that this is the only way at the moment. I told you to go and rest assured, I will take care of it for you. But although I said it nicely, I was a little scared when Third Uncle left and I was left alone to face the female corpse.
Logically speaking, such a beautiful girl should have been a lovely and amiable person when she was alive. What happened to make her so restless even after death?
I thought of . After searching for her for the past few days, there was no sign of her alive or dead. Aunt Lin and the others had already given up hope.
For the next few days, I stayed by the coffin and didn't dare to leave. I stayed up all night. When I couldn't hold on any longer, I would take a nap at noon when the yang energy was at its strongest.
It was not until the third night, when I was dozing off in front of the coffin, that my third uncle finally came back exhausted and scared me as he entered the door.
What the hell is this? This old guy actually tied a person up with a hemp rope. Damn, this is illegal!
After a closer look, I felt that he looked familiar. He was wearing a white shirt and casual black pants. He was very young, about 20 years old. He was handsome, but his face was yellow and he looked sickly and weak.
I remembered that I had seen this person before. He was the one who delivered the coffin to my house. My third uncle said his name was Liu Zi'an.
It turned out to be this guy! I immediately lost my temper. It was all because of this guy. He had screwed our entire village without telling anyone! I agreed with my uncle's approach from the bottom of my heart. This guy should be tied up.
I am not surprised how my third uncle caught this young man. Although I often call him "old thing" or "old fellow", my third uncle is actually only in his early thirties. He has a good-looking appearance and two thin mustaches on his lips. The only flaw is that his eyes are a little different in size, which makes him look a little weird at first glance.
My third uncle doesn't look very big, but he is actually very strong. It's easy for him to deal with a weakling like Liu Zian.
I'm just curious, what exactly will Uncle San do after he catches the person?
As a result, the old man threw the man into the room, sat down and ate the food I brought out, wiped his mouth after eating, and went back to lie down. He said he was exhausted and wanted to sleep first, and I would interrogate the man surnamed Liu.
I was helpless with such an uncle. I found a rope and tied up the man surnamed Liu tightly, then tied him to a pillar in the house.
The man surnamed Liu was trembling and asked us what we wanted and whether we wanted money. He said he would give us any amount of money as long as we could release him.
I was furious, so I drank a glass of cold water to calm myself down and moved a chair to sit opposite him. As a civilized person who has been educated by Teacher Tian for a long time, I must convince him with reason.
I explained to him in detail all the strange things that had happened in the past few days, and specifically pointed out that two people had died in our village because of this, and asked him to tell me what was going on with the female corpse he had sent.
But I don’t know if this Liu guy was kicked in the head by a donkey, he just refused to believe me and said I was talking nonsense. He gritted his teeth and said he didn’t know who the person in the coffin was and he was just an errand boy.
I felt that I still had to maintain some basic rationality, so I drank another glass of cold water to calm my temper. Then I went into the kitchen and took out a can of orange-yellow, greasy stuff.
"You must be hungry. Let me feed you something." I moved a stool over, stood on tiptoe, picked up the spoon, scooped a large spoonful of food and put it into Liu's mouth.
The man surnamed Liu opened his eyes wide, shrank his head back, and asked in horror what this was.
I said this is a good thing, not only can it beautify and nourish the skin, but it can also be used to make perfume. I heard that merchants in Thailand are buying it at high prices, so it’s a bargain for you to eat it.
The man surnamed Liu was so scared that his face turned blue and he asked me in a shrill voice what the hell it was!
Seeing that he was so persistent, I briefly explained the origin of this thing.
"Whenever a pregnant woman dies, her chin is cut off at midnight and then burned with a white candle. The oil that drips out is this stuff." I shook the jar in front of him.
"In Thailand, they call this thing corpse oil. I heard that the girls there like to use it very much." I said, taking a spoon and stuffing it into his mouth.
This Liu guy was really a coward. He was so scared that tears started streaming down his face and he screamed, "I'll tell you! Take this thing away!"
Seeing how disgusted he was, I had no choice but to take the can back to the kitchen. This can of lard has been stored for too long and has gone bad. It is such a waste, I have to remember to throw it away tomorrow.
I returned to the main room and saw the man surnamed Liu with an expression uglier than crying. He explained the whole matter in a halting manner.
It turned out that the little girl he sent over was his cousin, named Liu Nan , the daughter of his second uncle. I was a little surprised. I didn't expect that this little girl was really from their Liu family.
Mr. Liu said he didn't know much about it. About half a month ago, he was reading in his room when his father suddenly came to him with a heavy face and asked him to come over. He put down his book and followed him. Only then did he know that his 12-year-old cousin had died at home. Her clothes were disheveled, and there was a big cut on the back of her head. She was bleeding profusely. When she was found, she was already dead.
After examining his cousin, his mother said that her body had not been violated. However, looking at the scene at the time, it was obvious that someone wanted to touch his cousin and finally killed her.
I asked , "This is obviously a criminal case, why didn't you call the police at the time?"
Mr. Liu shook his head and said his first reaction was to call the police, but none of the elders in his family agreed. Even his second uncle, the father of Liu Nan's cousin, disagreed.
I just can't understand this. How could someone try to cover it up when their family was killed?
Liu Zian said he couldn't figure it out either. In their Liu family, the authority of the elders was very important, and once they made a decision, the younger generation had no right to oppose it.
"My father told me to go back to my room and not to tell anyone about anything that happened at home." Liu Zian showed a trace of fear on his face, "But that night, something happened again in our family."
I refrained from interrupting and listened to him continue.
