Volume 1 2009 Chapter 47: Remote Healing

In the first five minutes, everyone was trying to fill their stomachs.
Uncle Sun and Aunt Sun ate slowly and methodically, while Sun Enxi was rushing around frantically. Yi Haoyan was also busy eating, not bothering to talk.
Only Bae Joo-hyun could maintain her ladylike demeanor and eat elegantly in small bites.
"ah!"
Five minutes later, Sun Enxi finally swallowed the food in her mouth, stopped to rest for a while, and sighed: "I'm starving!"
"Me too!" Yi Haoyan added.
When the others heard this, they couldn't help but laugh. It seemed that today's journey had indeed consumed a lot of energy and made them hungry.
After dinner, my uncle and aunt briefly discussed the plans for the next few days.
The plan is to fly back to Seoul next Saturday. We will be in Jeju Island for a total of six days, which is enough time to plan the itinerary. My aunt and uncle have some friends to visit, so they basically won’t be able to do anything with the children.
After making the general arrangements, my uncle and aunt went to the master bedroom for a nap.
Yi Haoyan also took a nap as usual, and made an appointment with Professor Jin for remote treatment at 3 pm.
After cleaning up, Yi Haoyan returned to the second bedroom on the second floor, closed the curtains, threw himself on the soft big bed and fell into a deep sleep.
At 2:50 in the afternoon , the alarm clock woke Yi Haoyan up.
He got up and washed his face, so that he could wake up quickly, and called Professor Jin on time at 3 o'clock.
"Hello, Professor Jin, I'm Yi Haoyan."
"Oh, hello Haoyan, you are on time! How is Jeju Island?"
"It feels good. Professor, have you been here?"
"Yes, I've been there many times. Basically, I go to Jeju Island when I go on vacation in China. It's a great place."
"Well, this is my first time here. I think the scenery is very nice. Traveling to a completely unfamiliar place will make people feel much more relaxed."
"That's right. Because no one knows you here and there are no social constraints, you will feel a sense of release mentally, which is conducive to your recovery."
"Indeed, I feel less restrained, or the old living habits have been broken. There is a strong sense of freshness and I don't feel bored."
"Remember this feeling. Severe depression is not new. It's good that you have this feeling. Remind yourself to look for good feelings."
"Well, this week has been quite busy. I'm doing an internship at the company and filming a Girls' Generation commercial."
"Oh, you can already do an internship? You're making rapid progress!"
Professor Jin's voice revealed a hint of joy.
"I didn't really do anything. I mainly watched. I was afraid I would be too idle at home, so I wanted to find something to do before school started."
"That's true. Being busy can help you recover. You don't need to have a lot of work intensity and pressure. Avoid being alone and try to integrate with the crowd. How did you feel during the filming?"
"I just feel that celebrities also live very tiring lives. Their work intensity is very high."
"Can you tell me more about it?"
"We shot from morning to night, with almost no rest time except for eating."
"Several girls from Girls' Generation spent most of their time standing in high heels for filming from morning till night, and they also had to maintain a good spirit. It was so tiring!"
"I was wearing sneakers and did nothing but watch from the sidelines. I couldn't stand it at the end, let alone them! And they ate very little. I don't know how they managed to survive."
“Korean artists have very intense work schedules.”
"What makes me most curious is that by the afternoon, I am already very tired and have no energy to do anything, but the older sisters from Girls' Generation seem to be fine. They even play with each other when they have free time. I really don't understand where their energy comes from?"
"I've heard of this group. They're very popular recently, right?"
"Yes, they are very popular recently and the group is also on the rise."
"That's right! They are currently in a state where no matter how busy they are, they are mentally happy. Competition among Korean artists is fierce, and they are currently in the rising stage of their careers. The entire group is in its best period!"
"At this time, they have clear goals and are full of motivation. Physical fatigue will not affect their mental excitement. On the contrary, a positive mental state will be more conducive to alleviating physical fatigue."
"Just like in some wars, some warriors with faith are not afraid of death. The power of the spirit is very strong."
"On the contrary, if the spirit is weak, no matter how strong the body is, it will be difficult to exert its strength. That's why there is a concept of morale in the army. When morale is low, it is often difficult to win a battle, but when morale is high, miracles can be created."
“People often say that human potential is unlimited. But whether one can realize that potential is largely determined by one’s inner strength.”
"Everyone has limited inner strength. Some people use this strength to constantly encourage themselves, praise themselves, and give themselves positive motivation. This way, they will get better and better."
"Depressed people constantly doubt themselves, deny themselves, and even attack and hurt themselves. This way, they don't have the strength to do anything else."
“We need to direct our limited inner strength towards self-affirmation and self-encouragement rather than self-denial.”
"How can this be achieved? I don't feel there is any obvious effect." Yi Haoyan asked.
"The cause of depression is that long-term self-denial leads to or induces brain dysfunction, causing the concentration of substances in the brain responsible for maintaining pleasure and excitement to be lower than normal."
"We need to use drugs to stabilize the concentration of substances in the brain and keep it normal. Then we can adjust our own thoughts and cognition, change some of our misconceptions, and cure depression fundamentally."
"You are now taking medication steadily, and your sleep and appetite have improved. This is just a temporary solution. We need to suppress the bad symptoms with medication first, and then find the root cause. It's like a person who has suffered an injury and is in unbearable pain. We need to relieve the pain first, and then treat the wound."
"If you're in a state of depression, you can't cure it through talking."
"You need to control it through medication, and release the emotions accumulated in your subconscious mind through intentional dialogue, so that you can slowly relax yourself, and then you can slowly change your ideas through communication."
"This is a long process, you have to be patient and you will get better."
"Yes, Professor."
After finishing the treatment with the professor, Yi Haoyan went downstairs to the restaurant. His aunt and uncle had already gone out, and no one knew where Son Eun-hee and Bae Joo-hyun had gone.
Yi Haoyan was wandering around the house alone.
There was a faint sound of splashing water.
Huh? Who's in the pool?
