The Real Hogwarts Chapter 98 Destined

"I worked in a bookstore during my summer vacation. It was a very old bookstore and the owner was very kind to me." Hermione said, "There were many banned books hidden in her store. I saw a banned book called 'Hogwarts: A History of the School' and peeked at part of its content. I learned that the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was not what it is now."
"The shop owner also subscribed to the Daily Prophet. I accidentally read on it that there is actually another Hogwarts school in the wizarding world that has gone into exile under the leadership of Dumbledore. The news said that this is the only remaining resistance force and rebel."
"I know that Dumbledore was the only headmaster of Hogwarts seven years ago. The magic school he led was a real school. But he failed later, and the castle was occupied by another person. That's why we are enslaved like this."
"You disguised yourself as Randy and sneaked into the castle. The only person in the entire wizarding world who had the courage to do this was someone from another Hogwarts school. No one else would dare to take such a risk and come in."
Hermione's voice was very small, but so firm. She looked at Jon with clear and bright eyes.
"Besides, I can see your attitude towards us. If you were a pure-blood wizard, you wouldn't get along with us like this. You must be from another Hogwarts, right?"
Jon looked into the girl's eyes and felt deeply moved.
All the speculations are reasonable and well-founded. The most important thing is that Hermione is really only 12 years old now, not like him who looks like a 12-year-old child but actually has an adult soul in his heart.
In this situation, Jon calmed down instead. In response to Hermione's question, he did not deny it but nodded in acknowledgement.
"Yes, I am indeed from another Hogwarts."
Hermione became excited when her guess was confirmed by Jon himself.
After all, she is only 12 years old. Even though her observation and logical reasoning skills are far superior to her peers, she is not as mature as Jon in her character.
"Are you a professor at Hogwarts?" she asked impatiently.
Jon hesitated for just a second, then nodded without hesitation.
"Yes, I am a professor at that school."
It wasn't that he wanted to lie on purpose, but he was already feeling unsafe because Hermione knew his identity. Now even if he confessed his origins, he had to hide his true identity.
Besides, if we go by actual mental age, it’s nothing for Jon to shamelessly call himself a professor.
Hermione was so excited that she didn't notice Jon's hesitation. Besides, it was normal for Jon to be a professor. If he was just a student, she should be suspicious.
"I have another question. Why did you think of going to the principal's office to find me?"
"I went to the storage room on the first floor first because I knew from Hanton that you knew about the situation in that room. After I didn't find you there , I could only think that you could go to the principal's office."
This time it was not just an inference, Hermione was also gambling. If she had arrived ten or twenty minutes earlier, and opened the door when John was about to kill the basilisk, she would most likely have been stared at by the basilisk's eyes.
Fortunately, Jon acted quickly enough, otherwise Hermione might have died in the accident.
After understanding all the causes and consequences, Jon looked at Hermione seriously.
"Since you have discovered my identity, you should also know the consequences if my identity is exposed, so Miss Granger, will you keep it strictly confidential?"
Hermione's face was full of seriousness and she swore solemnly.
"I swear I will never tell any secrets about you to anyone!"
It was useless for her to just swear. In the wizarding world, if you want to get information from a person's mind, you don't have to make that person speak. This is why Dumbledore asked John to sneak into Hogwarts Castle.
He had studied Occlumency with Slughorn for a whole school year and was capable enough to keep secrets, but Hermione obviously did not have that ability.
Jon was very calm and looked at things rationally at the moment. Even with Hermione's promise, he was not completely reassured . He was planning to find an opportunity to sneak out of the castle and talk to Aberforth about how to deal with the three paintings, and then decide whether to try to erase Hermione's memory of himself based on how long he might stay in the castle.
The little girl obviously couldn't tell what Jon was thinking at the moment, so she blinked and continued to ask.
"So, Professor? What should I call you?"
"Just keep calling me Randy. This is the only identity I have now." Jon said calmly.
"Randy, why ?" She opened her eyes wide, "Does he want you to steal something important from that man?"
Jon said vaguely.
"Yeah... almost."
"Then..." After only uttering one word, Hermione suddenly became nervous again. Her body wrapped in the quilt even began to tremble slightly. Her bright eyes were full of expectation and anxiety. "Then, did he ask you to provide us with any help..."
Her voice was very soft, with an unconfident and trembling tone. Her eyes, which had originally been looking directly at Jon, began to avoid him. It seemed as if she was expecting Jon's answer, but also as if she was afraid of his answer.
Jon didn't speak at first.
Actually, it would be okay for him to tell the truth. The girl was very smart. As long as he explained Dumbledore's difficulties and the issue of signing the enrollment contract, she should be able to understand.
Even the timidity shown in her words now was a kind of understanding. She knew very well that even the professors from another Hogwarts had no reason to save them, not to mention that there was a high possibility that their lives would be in danger.
But because he knew that she was very smart and had thought of everything he could think of, and even asked for help in such tactful and unconfident way, Jon fell silent.
He thought of the conversation he had with Aberforth the night before. If his mission was successfully completed, what would happen to students like Hermione in the castle?
Will I continue to be kept in this castle? Will I continue to be oppressed and domesticated?
Such things made Jon feel very uncomfortable just thinking about them.
The students in the castle are all very cute. Hamton envies those noble half-blood and pure-blood students who can fly into the sky on broomsticks. Ariel is willing to tell everyone about her good memories of previous Christmases to entertain everyone. In order to let the freshmen not forget that they are still equal people, Hermione continues to organize rallies at great risks.
So, are these lovely children who yearn for freedom destined to be kept here as slaves?
