The Real Hogwarts Chapter 119 The Real Hogwarts
Fawkes took Jon and Hermione to a cabin in front of the woods.
This hut was just like the safe hut that Jon first arrived at when Lily took him out of the orphanage. It was built by the Order of the Phoenix and scattered across the UK as a temporary place to hide traces of Apparition.
Of course, the source of the Phoenix's Apparition could not be traced, but McGonagall, Kingsley and two wizards from the Order of the Phoenix took the students who escaped from the secret passage of the castle and temporarily hid in this place.
The enrollment contracts of these children have not been completely resolved. Before they came here, McGonagall and others had temporarily blocked the tracking effect with a spell. If they want to completely eliminate it, Dumbledore will have to do it himself.
And when Jon brought Hermione here, the children were very happy.
Seeing familiar people, they were finally able to vent their nervousness and worry. Some hugged Hermione and some hugged Jon and burst into tears. Among them, Hamton, who had been cheering everyone up in the secret passage, cried the loudest while hugging Jon's arm.
But the crisis had not been completely resolved. McGonagall immediately covered the enrollment contract on Hermione in the same way, and then used Apparition again to take them to a new safe house.
When they arrived here, the rescued children were already pale and could not help retching. Even Jon couldn't get used to the feeling when he experienced Apparition for the first time. They experienced it twice in a row and now felt dizzy.
At the same time, although John and Hermione's safe return made their mood not as low as at the beginning, the uneasiness in their hearts was not reduced at all.
When they first escaped, the professors from the other Hogwarts who came to pick them up were very gentle, without any of the contempt and indifference that the teachers in the castle had towards them, but long periods of slavery had made them instinctively wary of strangers.
After arriving at the safe house, McGregorsley and the others started to get busy. They lit the fire, boiled the chocolate, and then gave each of the children sitting here a cup to relieve the discomfort caused by Apparition to their bodies.
Mag and the others' actions made the children feel a little uneasy. The first graders were okay as they had only been in the castle for less than a year, but most of the second graders were a little frightened.
It's like a child who has been abused all day long. If one day an adult suddenly hands him a piece of candy, his first reaction will definitely not be to take it openly, but to shrink his neck, hide in the corner, and timidly look at the person who extends his hand.
Fortunately, there is Jon as a bridge.
He swiftly helped Mag distribute the hot chocolate to each child. At the same time, he took a big sip in front of them, then spoke to them with a grin.
"I suggest you don't drink so fast."
The children couldn't help laughing when they saw him, and they became more relaxed. Some of the children even looked at Mag cautiously and asked.
"Professor, will we still be Mudbloods in the future?"
Professor McGonagall looked at the children and had just quietly wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes. She showed a gentle smile that she had never had before.
"Forget the name, kid, you are no different than everyone else."
Her answer made the child's eyes sparkle, and his voice unconsciously became a little louder, but there was still a subconscious pleading in his tone.
"So... can we learn real magic from now on?"
Mag reached out and touched his head.
"I am your Transfiguration and Herbology professor. You must listen carefully in my classes from now on."
"I will!"
Their conversation made the children completely let down their subconscious guard. Holding the warm chocolate, they finally showed smiles on their faces that they had not seen for a long time.
Hermione was also smiling, but while she was smiling, her eyes were always fixed on Jon.
Of course, Jon was not blind, so he naturally felt her gaze, so he turned his head and looked at her in confusion and asked.
"What's wrong?"
"Why don't you change back to your original appearance, professor?" The girl emphasized the word "professor", obviously having seen something from the interaction between Jon and Mag just now.
Jon's expression remained unchanged, he shrugged and said.
" The effects of . If you want to see the real me, you'll probably have to wait until around six in the afternoon."
Hermione didn't dwell on . No matter what Jon's identity was, she didn't care, and it wouldn't affect her gratitude to him at all.
"Thank you so much." She gave Jon a hug.
Jon patted the girl's thin shoulder and said with a smile.
"You should thank yourself."
They stayed here until five o'clock in the afternoon. When the sky began to darken, Mag and the others continued their journey with the children who had rested enough.
Continuing to use Apparition, they arrived at a vast tulip garden.
The Hogwarts carriage was parked on the lawn in the middle of the garden. Candles were dancing around, and fairies with flapping wings were looming among the flowers.
When Mag and his group just appeared here, the students who were busy setting up the venue and preparing for the sumptuous welcome ceremony in the evening shouted hurriedly.
"Here they come! They are coming!"
The children landed on the ground again, and before they could react to what kind of dreamlike place they had arrived, the sound of fireworks exploding rang out beside them.
Colorful ribbons and sequins fell from above their heads. The students on the carriage, who had been notified in advance but had no idea of the exact time, quickly and chaotically formed the formation they had rehearsed and shouted in unison with great joy.
"Welcome to the real Hogwarts!"
The children were all stunned. Looking at this beautiful scene that they dared not even dream of, tears welled up in everyone's eyes.
The students in the carriage enthusiastically pulled them to both sides of the long table in the middle of the lawn, and Dumbledore sat at the front of the long table. His smile was as warm as a fireplace in winter. He looked at Jon and spoke softly.
"You did better than anyone could have imagined, Jon. Thank you for getting these children out of that cage."
