Part 3
Pipi speculated, and to verify his theories, all he had to do was enter the Dragon Palace, and everything would be clear .
Entering the Dragon Palace?!
It was something a normal frog wouldn't even dare to think about. But since he'd been making such a fuss, and still been safe and sound, why not go inside?
He'd definitely go down in history.
With such a legacy, even death wouldn't be so terrifying.
He did it without hesitation.
Pipi dove into the water.
Underwater, he could see a circular entrance, a green light seeping from it.
Pipi swam slowly towards it.
Nothing was wrong.
Pipi hesitated at the entrance, then swam in.
The other side of the entrance was also underwater, but the green glow was even more intense. Pipi held his breath and slowly slid beneath the surface. When he reached a moss-covered rock, he began to float upward.
His eyes slowly emerged from the water, and he was stunned by the sight before him.
He hadn't expected the mountain's interior to contain such a vast space. It resembled a vast palace, draped with lush green vines and glittering artifacts. If Pipi knew the word "magnificent," he would have used it to describe the mountain's interior.
A large black snake was coiled on a large rock directly opposite. The rock was smooth, and the snake coiled in its center, coiling in circles, its head held straight up, its mouth open. A few centimeters from its mouth, a emerald green object, the size of a soybean, was slowly rotating.
All the green light came from that slowly spinning object.
Pipi observed for a moment.
Only the glowing object was slowly rotating. The large black snake remained almost motionless, even its eyes were closed.
Pipi made a slight noise, but the big black snake showed no reaction.
Reassured, Pipi slowly climbed out of the water.
The big black snake remained motionless.
Pipi began to wander around, looking around. He wanted to explore and observe so he could explain the Dragon Palace to everyone when he got out.
However, Pipi didn't recognize the gold and silver treasures, nor did he know their significance. He simply found the coolness of those shiny objects strangely comforting.
Finally, his attention was drawn to the slowly spinning object.
How could something the size of a soybean spin? And float in mid-air? Why didn't it fall down?
And it was glowing green.
How could something so tiny emit such an intense green light?
Interesting, intriguing.
He poked the big black snake, but it still showed no reaction, as if it were stunned.
He then slowly climbed up the snake's body, wanting to get a closer look at the glowing green bean.
The sight before them was something the frogs of Black Dragon Pond could never have imagined: a frog daring to climb the spherical body of a giant black snake.
But Pipi did just that.
He crawled all the way to the snake's head, closest to the spinning bean.
The bean was emerald green, spinning slowly at a steady pace. Even so close, it was hard to tell how it could remain suspended in mid-air.
Pipi suddenly realized that the bean tasted quite good.
His stomach rumbled in unison, and he felt hungry.
So he decided to eat the bean.
He did just that.
Pipi extended his long tongue, scooped up the bean, and swallowed it like a mosquito.
The green light in the cave instantly went out.
But Pipi couldn't care less. As soon as the bean entered his stomach, he felt a burning sensation all over his body. It grew hotter and hotter. A slight discomfort. Very discomfort.
Then, Pipi felt movement beneath his feet. He looked over and, oh my god, the giant black snake's eyes were slowly opening.
The big black snake looked at the frog above its head, a little confused, and still hadn't figured out what was going on.
Run away quickly.
Pipi didn't care about the discomfort all over his body. He jumped hard and jumped from the snake's head to the nearest vine.
He tried to climb up.
The big black snake seemed to understand what was going on. The big black snake roared angrily, and its huge body wrapped around the rock and began to chase Pipi.
There was no way to run down. The angry big black snake was waiting there. He could only run up, grabbing the vines and climbing around.
Anyway, he just kept climbing up.
There was a glimmer of light on the rock face, like a crack.
Pipi scrambled toward it, squeezing his way through.
He pushed hard.
Finally, he made it out, but the other side was a cliff, not the Black Dragon Pond. Unable to stop, he plummeted down, into a vast river below.
Pipi landed in the center of the river, where the current was swift, but there was nothing he could do.
He felt like his whole body was about to explode, frozen, unable to move a single part of his body.
