Chapter nine 1
The rain was so heavy that every drop hit my body and face heavily, but I didn't feel any pain.
The weather was fine before, why did it suddenly start raining?
I walked forward numbly. There was no one around me. In the heavy rain, it seemed as if I was the only one left in the world. The sound of the rain was loud and noisy, but it sounded extremely quiet to me, because... there was nothing except the sound of rain.
I don’t know when the rain stopped above my head, and then I found myself walking into the drama club’s glass house by the sea.
Rainwater dripped along the transparent eaves, forming a wonderful rain curtain. The long open-air corridor outside was paved with goose yellow marble, reflecting the sparkling water, making people feel as if they had entered a wonderful space like Alice in Wonderland, separating them from all worries.
It's quiet here, no one is around, everyone should be happily attending the school festival.
I slowly sat down in the corner at the end of the corridor. The daisy field outside the glass house was swaying in the wind. The pure white daisies were beaten to pieces by the rain, like broken hearts.
"It's so cold." A gust of wind blew by, and I couldn't help but shiver.
Suddenly, a piece of soft cloth fell on my head, instantly blocking my vision.
"I finally found you." A voice with a hint of warmth came into my ears, low and a little sad.
"Senior Dongyun?" I recognized the voice, reached out to my head and took off a towel.
Sure enough, Senior Dongyun was standing behind me . He also looked like he had just been caught in the rain. His light brown uniform was wet, his soft light-colored short hair was dripping with water stains, and transparent water droplets were running across his rose-petal-like cheeks. His light black eyes were filled with a hint of bright and warm color, as beautiful as spring water.
I'm so stupid. Why didn't I realize earlier that Senior Dongyun actually looks really like Mingmika!
"What are you doing here?" I stood up suddenly and took a step back.
"Don't be nervous, Cha Cha," he raised his hand and touched the tip of his nose, his light black eyes blinking, "I'm just passing by."
"You're lying!" I won't be fooled by such a simple lie. "I won't believe it. I hate it the most when people lie to me!"
"Okay, okay..." Senior Dongyun sighed helplessly , picked up a towel and wiped my hair, while nagging, "It was that guy Dad! He called in a hurry and said that you misunderstood them and ran away in the rain! Do you know how long I have been looking for you?"
I looked at Senior Dongyun, who was strange but very familiar to me, and my eyes suddenly became warm... I had never felt such tenderness before, but why, why could everyone pretend that nothing happened? They were the ones who lied and hurt me!
"Go away!" I pushed him away. "You already know who I am! You are lying to me too!"
“Chacha, calm down!” Senior Dongyun grabbed my wrist, “Listen to me… your hands are so cold!”
His long eyebrows knitted together, and he pulled me up without saying anything: "No, you're caught in the rain, you'd better change your clothes first..."
"Never mind your business!" I pushed him away. "Stop pretending to care about me. You don't want to recognize me, right?"
I don't want to trust anyone anymore, they are all fake! All they can bring me is disappointment!
“Cha Cha, what nonsense are you talking about!” Senior Dong Yun’s jelly-like lips trembled slightly, his long eyelashes quivered slightly, and he endured it, turning his face away in disappointment, “How could I not want to recognize you! The day my mother took you away, I chased after your car and cried for a long time! After that, I missed you every day and wanted to find you!”
Chasing our car?
"I don't remember ." My chest felt heavy and I turned my head away angrily.
"Idiot, how could you possibly remember! When your mom took you away, you were just a tiny baby!" Senior Dongyun smiled slightly, his eyes full of nostalgia, "Although you looked like a little monkey, you were very cute."
Looking at his face that looked very similar to Ming Meixiang, a warm smile suddenly appeared on his face. My heart suddenly trembled and I couldn't help but want to waver...
No, Ming Cha Cha, even if he was telling the truth, they still deceived you for so long!
"No... I don't believe it. If you really wanted to find me, why didn't you recognize me earlier?" I pursed my lips stubbornly.
Senior Dongyun looked at me blankly, his shoulders slumped all of a sudden, and he looked extremely shocked.
After a while, he let out a long sigh and said, "Well, I'll tell you the truth!"
"Both my parents are idiots!" Senior Dongyun's petal-like cheeks flashed with helplessness, "16 years ago, my father and mother both misunderstood that the other liked someone else, so they had a big fight, and then my mother took you, Chacha, and ran away from home!"
I listened in trance, while Senior Dongyun had a frustrated look on his face. He said weakly, "In fact, Mom would run away from home every time she quarreled with Dad. However, that time, I was in a hurry to chase the car and was hit by it on the road. Dad took me to the hospital and didn't go to find Mom and you... Who knew that Mom really misunderstood that Dad had abandoned her... When I was out of danger and Dad went to find you, Mom was gone..."
"Ah!" I covered my mouth, but still couldn't help but scream.
"We have been looking for you and mom for these years, but we didn't expect that mom is actually the famous beautiful cartoonist..."
Ming Meixiang is indeed a fool...
"Then... why don't you recognize me?" I clenched my fists, but a glimmer of hope inevitably rose in my heart, "Don't you like me?"
“How is it possible! You don’t even know that Dad knew it was you when he first saw your admission information! But…but we were afraid that you wouldn’t accept us…Chacha, if you really have someone you cherish very much, you will know how nervous we are…” Senior Dongyun’s voice choked with sobs, with a strong sense of grievance, “I, how can I bear not to like you…you are my only sister…”
"Is... that so?" I still couldn't believe it.
Senior Dongyun and the teacher have been hiding this from me just because... they care about me too much?
"Cha Cha, I know you are angry!" He sighed, raised his eyes and looked at me seriously, "Cha Cha, Dad and I hid the truth from you temporarily because we cherish you too much, and Mom lied to you because she was afraid that you would be snatched away by Dad, and she was afraid of losing you! We all love you too much...so we don't know how to tell you the truth."
Senior Dongyun... No, brother's voice is very gentle, not as hearty and lively as usual, but every word is like the spring sunshine, illuminating the haze in my heart.
Maybe I really misunderstood them before?
I bit my lip, feeling a strange emotion stuck in my throat, making me not know what to say.
"Okay, it doesn't matter if you don't forgive us now." A trace of disappointment flashed across the senior's gentle dark eyes, but he quickly cheered up, "Later, I'll ask my parents to apologize to you. Now hurry up and change your clothes with me to avoid catching a cold, okay?"
"Yeah." This time, I didn't object and nodded obediently.
"Be good." Senior Dongyun held my hand and couldn't help but rub my head.
Perhaps, there really is telepathy between people of the same blood. I raised my head and clearly saw a hint of heartache and tenderness in his eyes.
The next moment, I felt myself falling into a warm embrace.
"Stupid sister." Senior Dongyun hugged me tightly, as if he was hugging a treasure that had been lost and found again.
I silently leaned my head gently on his shoulder. Although both of our clothes were soaked, that warm feeling still surrounded me, and even the sadness and sorrow of so many days became nothing.
"Stupid brother."
