Chapter 78 Encounter with Qin Li

Chapter 79: A Chance Encounter with Qin Li
Fang Qing ignored the man in front of her and grabbed her friend's hand, preparing to make their way around. Unexpectedly, this seemingly decent man was so bold, reaching out to grab her wrist.

Having seen such frivolous and impolite individuals before her, Fang Qing grabbed the man's wrist with her backhand, yanking it sideways before snapping it downward. The man, a head taller than her, let out a scream like a butchered pig.

Zhang Heng dragged his hand, screaming, and turned to call for his friends drinking in the distance to come and help. He hadn't expected this seemingly frail little girl to be so capable of such a move.

"You little country brat! I was talking to you nicely, and you're going to kill me! I'm going to teach you a lesson today!"

Fang Qing's heart pounded as she saw the men surrounding her group. Since they were out for dinner today, they didn't have pepper spray or weapons with them. Just as she was contemplating how to escape, Qin Li unexpectedly returned.

"What are you doing?" Qin Li's voice stopped the men in their tracks. Zhang Heng looked at his friend with grievance, raised his wrist, and began to complain.

"Ali, come and see, brother, I've suffered so much for you..."

Qin Li frowned, glancing at the surrounded girls, and immediately noticed the girl who had struck him as familiar.

"What are you doing? A bunch of grown men blocking a young girl. How dare you!"

At Qin Li's command, the men dispersed, and Fang Qing and the others seized the opportunity to rush out, leaving the scene without a backward glance.

Zhang Heng sighed helplessly, "Why did you let them go? I endured the pain and stopped them. I hadn't even asked their name, and you let them go?"

Qin Li ignored his friend's complaints, watching Fang Qing's retreating figure thoughtfully. He had always thought the girl looked familiar, and now, after a closer look, he finally understood. He had always found her kind and friendly because her features resembled his aunt's!
But his aunt, while married, only had a six-year-old son; it was impossible for her to have a daughter that old. Could they have some distant relatives? Then, she scoffed at her own wishful thinking. There were plenty of people who looked alike. She pulled her friend away from the beach.

Fang Qing and the other girls ran for a long distance, only to stop when they saw the others behind them weren't catching up.

"Qingqing, you were too impulsive just now. If that man hadn't stopped us, we wouldn't be able to leave today..."

Fang Qing remained silent. Reasoning was useless against those with malicious intentions. Only by shocking them once could she have a chance to escape.

Her behavior had certainly been inappropriate, but thankfully, the man who had approached her later was reasonable. However, Fang Qing found the man's appearance puzzling.

His features bore a resemblance to her father's...

The group strolled for a long time at the local night market, buying a slew of shell products before returning to their hotel.

The next day, Wang Guihua's aunt took them to the local history museum. Unexpectedly, Fang Qing encountered the man from the beach again.

The museum was large, and since it was summer vacation, many tourists were visiting. The group of girls gradually separated. Wen Ling needed to use the restroom, so Fang Qing led her through the queue and into a public restroom, where they stood outside, waiting for someone.

A withered old woman, leaning on a cane, approached Fang Qing, holding up a battered teacup and pleading, "Miss, please give me something to eat..."

Seeing the old woman's tattered clothes and her hands like withered branches, Fang Qing felt a surge of pity. She quickly rummaged through her messenger bag and tossed in fifty cents. The

old woman glanced at the money in the teacup, her face expressionless, but her heart beaming with joy. She bowed to Fang Qing, praising her kindness and quickly left.

But as Fang Qing turned, several people behind her quietly followed, their eyes fixed on her small bag.

As Wen Ling emerged, Fang Qing stepped forward to pull her away, preparing to join the others, when she suddenly felt a tug on her bag. She instinctively reached out to hold it down, but suddenly felt a hand! With a start, Fang Qing turned and reached for the hand behind her.

Wen Ling noticed something was wrong and immediately shouted, "Catch the thief! Catch the thief!"

The crowd around her immediately dispersed. Fang Qing found that the strap of her bag had been cut, so she turned and chased in the direction of the man.

But someone stretched out his foot and tripped Fang Qing, and she fell directly to the ground. Seeing the thief dodging left and right into the crowd, Fang Qing was so anxious that her eyes turned red, "Catch the thief! That person stole my bag!"

But the man was too fast and disappeared in the crowd. When Fang Qing got up again, the man was no longer in the crowd. Fang Qing looked around and was immediately panicked. All her money was in her bag, as well as her hotel room key and temporary ID card. What should she do if she lost these things?

Just when Fang Qing was standing there anxiously, not knowing what to do, the man she met at the beach that day came over holding someone, "Girl, is this your bag?"

Fang Qing burst into laughter when she saw the bag in the man's hand. She nodded repeatedly and took the bag. She opened it to see that the money and documents were all there. Then she breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you, brother. Thank you so much!"

Zhang Heng, who was running over behind her, snorted when he saw that it was Fang Qing, "Just thank you? Ha, so insincere."

Qin Li coughed to stop Zhang Heng from saying anything, then looked at Fang Qing, "You're welcome. You're lucky you ran into me. Since nothing is missing, I'll take this guy to the police station first. You girls should be careful when you go out."

After Qin Li gave the instructions, he wanted to ask Fang Qing's name, but felt it was inappropriate, so he nodded and left with the man. However, Zhang Heng couldn't help it, turned around and asked mysteriously, "Sister, I think we are destined to meet, please tell us, what's your name?"

Fang Qing was grateful to the big brother just now. Although the first meeting was a little unpleasant, the other party at least helped her, so she told the other party her name.

"Fang Qing, judging from your accent, you are not from this place, right?"

Fang Qing nodded, "I just came here to play with my friends."

Zhang Heng nodded, "My name is Zhang Heng, and that big black guy just now is called Qin Li. Don't twist my wrist next time we meet. Well, have fun, see you later."

Looking at the two people going away, Fang Qing breathed a sigh of relief. He was quite lucky. He was able to find his bag after it was robbed. It seemed that his luck was really starting to change.

Afterwards, Wen Ling and Fang Qing ran around the museum several times and finally found the main group. After lunch, the group went to famous tourist attractions and returned to Jingtan County after playing for three days.

But Fang Qing felt that the atmosphere was a little wrong as soon as he entered the house.

"Dad, Mom, what's wrong with you?"
