Chapter 75: Blue-Eyed Fox
The cave had been dug up during the day, and the soil was very soft, so it took almost no effort to dig it up completely, revealing the hair of the female corpse. Under the pale light, the long, messy hair with dirt and brown blood stains reminded me of the hair ghost, and I couldn't help but feel cold in my heart.
At this moment, a "fluttering" sound came from behind me, which scared me so much that I broke out in a cold sweat. I turned around and found that a bird had been startled and flew away. I covered my heart, which was beating non-stop, and turned my head back. I picked up the white wine bottle and sprinkled the wine around the stone cave. The evil corpse is different from the dead ghost. Clean water can be used to trap them, and the smell of wine can stimulate their sense of smell. Then I took out four masonry awls in a row. This time, I did a lot of preparation in advance, and thought of everything. I also brought a lot of masonry awls.
At the four directions, which are the positions of the four spirits (Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Black Tortoise and Vermillion Bird), a masonry awl was nailed in each of them. A red rope was then used to form a Five Ghosts Seal between the four masonry awls. Talismans were burned and spells were chanted. The power of this was incomparable and was enough to subdue the female corpse.
Then they lit a bunch of incense and inserted it in front of the stone cave, and placed roasted chicken and wine, which was considered a sacrifice to the dead. But why roasted chicken instead of other offerings? It's not that there is a particularity , but roasted chicken is useful. Zombies are also afraid of chicken crowing. Although this is a dead chicken and can't crow, the chicken bones and smell can also restrain zombies. This is a secret in the Ghost Talisman Sutra, which can be regarded as a folk remedy. It is not recorded in the real Taoist magic.
Everything was ready. I finally took out the sticky rice, a few corpse-suppressing charms, and a thick rope made of red string, about two feet long. Then I put on a pair of leather gloves soaked in sticky rice water and started to dig the body. I put the sticky rice in my pocket, put the corpse-suppressing charm on my arm, tied the red string into a noose and hung it around my neck, held the flashlight in my mouth, picked up the folding shovel, jumped into the cave, and carefully cleared the dirt around the head.
Gradually, under the lamppost, the pale dead face was revealed, and my heart tightened immediately. I am brave enough, but if I say I am not afraid, I am definitely lying. In the dark night, on a desolate hill, facing a female corpse whose ferocity is still unknown, whoever says he is not afraid is just bullshit.
I was relieved when I saw the female corpse closed her eyes, but her face was much more ferocious than during the day. The corners of her mouth were slightly split to the sides, and her eyebrows seemed to be inverted, which made her look particularly fierce. After taking a deep breath, I first pasted a corpse-suppressing talisman on her forehead and put a noose around her neck. This was very particular, as a fierce corpse like this could not be touched casually with hands. After tightening it with a red noose, it bowed its head and obeyed my orders.
Then I used the shovel to dig deeper. Seeing that the female corpse's expression did not change, I slowly relaxed . Basically, I dug below the waist. I didn't need to dig deeper. The noose was enough to pull it out. I dropped the shovel to take a breath. I saw that the female corpse was naked. She was buried alive without a single piece of clothing. I thought that if she had been humiliated before her death, then this corpse would be full of resentment.
After a short rest, I clenched the noose with both hands and pulled hard with my back. There seemed to be something heavy under the corpse, and I could only pull it out a little bit, but I couldn't pull it out anymore. I was wondering, and suddenly I saw the corpse's eyes open, and my heart skipped a beat. There was a talisman on the head of the corpse, and with the red noose, how could it wake up?
I broke out in a cold sweat. I saw that the eyes of the female corpse were different from what I saw during the day. The left eye was emerald green, like an emerald cat's eye, while the right eye was blood red. I took a deep breath and wondered how it could become like this? Just as I was wondering what was going on, its pale face changed again. Yellow hair slowly grew on the left half of its face, just like the fast-forward footage of plants growing on TV. In a moment, the entire left face was covered by several centimeters of yellow hair, which looked extremely weird under the light!
But the emerald green left eye could still be seen clearly amidst the yellow hair.
I thought to myself, this seems to be a "green-eyed fox"! Thinking of this, cold sweat broke out on my head. Green-eyed foxes have been a very mysterious thing since ancient times. There are two theories in the supplementary book of the Ghost Talisman Sutra. One is that the blue-eyed ghost fox who has achieved enlightenment will transform into a human form after killing 9981 people and hibernating underground for many years. However, the success rate is very low, and most of them will become a half-human, half-fox state, which is called a green-eyed fox.
The second is a more terrifying legend, that the blue-eyed ghost fox lurks in the female corpse, and after years of cultivation, if the corpse becomes half human and half fox, it is time to break out of the cocoon. Once it is born, it will look exactly like the female corpse when it was alive, just like a clone of the female corpse.
No matter which one it was, it was not easy to deal with. I hurriedly took the noose off my neck, wrapped it around the female corpse a few times and tightened it, and then pasted a corpse-suppressing talisman on each of its eyes, and a ghost-suppressing talisman on its chest and head. Just as I picked up the folding shovel to bury the female corpse again, I heard a fluttering sound. A bird actually flew over the cave and landed on the red rope that formed the Five Ghosts Seal, rising and falling.
I reached out and took the flashlight from its mouth and shone it upwards. It seemed to be a sparrow, but its feathers were black, and its head feathers were snow-white. The bird's beak was hooked, and its two eyes were one green and one red. It stared down at me, not afraid of people at all. I couldn't help but take a breath, thinking, could this bird be a "fox-man bird"? There is no such bird in the world. No matter what species it is, it must be related to this blue-eyed fox-man. Maybe it came to wake it up.
Thinking of this, I was sweating all over. I reached out to drive it away, but then I stopped. This little beast might be the trigger of the blue-eyed fox. Once it is startled, it will wake up quickly. I bit the flashlight back into my mouth and wiped the sweat off my face. I was thinking about how to deal with this situation when I saw the little beast suddenly peck at the red rope with its mouth !
My soul flew away. At this moment, I relied on the Five Ghost Seal to suppress the female corpse. If the red rope broke, I would be killed. I didn't care about . I took out a handful of glutinous rice from my pocket and sprinkled it on the white-headed bird. It didn't react at all and continued to peck at the red rope.
Damn it, he must have killed me, so he pulled out his peach wood sword and stabbed upwards, which sent the white-headed bird flying. I didn't dare to stay down there, so I hurriedly climbed out of the cave, and when I came out, I touched the red rope. I didn't expect that the part that was pecked by the white-headed bird was basically connected, and it couldn't withstand any external force, and it broke immediately!
"Flutter!" The white-headed bird appeared from beside me again, flew into the cave, and landed on the white belly of the female corpse, looking at me with its head erect. I couldn't help but feel numb on my scalp, because not only it, but also the female corpse had also raised its head at some point, staring at me in the same action as the white-headed bird!
