Chapter 7 The Creator
Chapter 7:
The power of the Creator's Golden Elixir displayed a formidable destructive power, which excited Fang Yi.
He was eager to test this power's potential.
"In mythology and legend, immortal cultivators can use magic, such as creating fire, water, and even summoning lightning out of nowhere. Could I also achieve these things with the power of the Golden Elixir?"
Fang Yi wanted to try, but he had no idea how to conjure water and fire, let alone summon lightning.
"The fundamental essence of all things in the world is the same. They are all the same particles I saw in my spiritual state. It's just that the order of arrangement is different, resulting in different forms. If I could understand the form of the particles that make up water and fire, wouldn't that allow me to use magic?" In
his normal state, even in his spiritual state, Fang Yi couldn't see the composition of the particles.
However, he could observe them using the energy field model he had copied from the statue.
However, using that form was very energy-consuming.
Fang Yi's body was already struggling with nutritional deficiencies.
At this moment, he hesitated.
"Will I overuse energy and cause my body to collapse?"
He pondered for a moment, then decided to give it a try. "It's just a moment of observation, so it shouldn't take that much. I just need to find something to observe immediately, otherwise it'll consume too much energy."
Fang Yi scanned the kitchen and finally turned on the gas stove.
A whoosh, the flames began to burn.
He hurriedly entered a state of mind transcending the physical body, immediately injecting energy into the constructed magnetic field.
The next second, the particle structure of the flame appeared in his mind.
The particle structure of the flame was different from what is commonly observed.
Although it was composed of only 600 to 700 million particles, the shape of these particles was constantly changing.
Constructing a model seemed a bit difficult.
Fang Yi pondered for a long time, and only when he was confident did he begin to construct it.
Once, he failed.
Ten times, he failed.
One hundred and twenty-three times, and still failed.
Undeterred, Fang Yi persevered and continued to try to construct a model of fire.
A thousand times!
Ten thousand times!
A hundred thousand times!
Finally, after hundreds of thousands of failed attempts, he successfully constructed the model!
However, as soon as he injected the power of his golden elixir into it, he felt an intense heat "baking" his mind.
Frightened, Fang Yi quickly retreated his mind back into his physical body, and the sensation dissipated.
Although he had just attempted to construct the model of fire's particle composition hundreds of thousands of times, real time hadn't passed much.
Perhaps only a dozen seconds had passed.
"Why does fire cause such severe damage to my mind?"
he pondered, suddenly recalling a passage he had read about the spirit and soul while researching Taoist knowledge.
Although Fang Yi had observed the energy field model copied from the statue and knew that there was no spirit and soul at all, that it was merely the human body's bio-energy field,
he felt that since he had been able to cultivate to this level using Mr. Chen's Inner Alchemy Secrets, the ancient concept of the "spirit and soul" was likely a bio-energy field, worthy of reference.
"Taoism records that the Yang Shen is the highest realm of Taoist alchemy practice. The most fundamental method to achieve the Yang Shen is to completely refine the Yin impurities within the Yuan Shen, ultimately transforming it into a pure Yang-free Yuan Shen, called the Yang Shen. In other words, before the Yang Shen is cultivated, the Yuan Shen contains Yin impurities, which can be harmed by the extremely strong and yang energy. Fire is precisely the most strong and yang substance, so my mind, while transcending the physical body, cannot withstand it."
Simply put, the realm is not high enough.
Another point is that Fang Yi remembered that physics explains that fire is a form of energy release.
Since it releases energy, it must have some damage to the mind form, which is also an energy field.
After understanding the reason, Fang Yi had a rough idea of what to do.
"I can't control extremely strong and yang substances like fire and lightning for the time being. Well, I can't control anything that releases energy. I can only try again after my mind energy field grows stronger. For now, I can only try to control substances that don't release energy."
Substances that don't release energy?
Isn't water a substance that doesn't release energy?
Fang Yi turned off the gas stove and walked to the sink where he washed vegetables and dishes.
He reached out and turned on the faucet, then once again allowed his mind to transcend his physical body, entering a state of out-of-body experience. He injected the energy of his golden elixir into the model he had constructed, then quickly replicated the particle form of water, and called it a day.
This state lasted only a moment, and the energy consumption was still considerable.
The number of particles that made up water was very small, just over 600 million.
Fang Yi tried to construct the water form model.
Once.
Ten times.
Fifty times.
Because it was a static model, it took only over 300 attempts to successfully construct it.
He once again injected his mental energy into this successful "model."
Something terrible happened! Fang Yi felt as if his mental power was uncontrollable, being continuously absorbed by the "model." Terrified , he quickly severed the connection, but his vitality was still severely damaged.
His only joy was that a drop of water, the size of a rice grain, appeared out of thin air before his eyes.
Success!
I had truly created water out of nothing!
Fang Yi was overjoyed.
Don't underestimate it, it was just a small drop of water.
You have to remember, he created this out of nothing.
This is a powerful ability only a creator can possess!
"But something doesn't seem right. Myths and legends say that Jindan Zhenren possesses the power to move mountains and overturn seas, yet I can only produce a single drop of water. Isn't that a huge difference?"
No!
Something must be wrong!
Fang Yi returned his mind to his physical body.
Despite feeling exhausted, he continued to think carefully.
Perhaps because he had been thinking for so long, he had forgotten to turn off the faucet.
Soon, the pool was full, and drops of water splashed onto his shoes.
Suddenly, Fang Yi understood!
He quickly reached out to turn off the faucet and unplug the pool, muttering to himself, "I just created something out of nothing, so the energy consumption was certainly enormous. But the Jindan Zhenren in myths and legends only controlled water, fire, thunder, and lightning, so naturally, they didn't need that much energy."
It's like asking someone to carry two hundred buckets of water would definitely make them collapse from exhaustion.
But using tap water to fill two hundred buckets of water would require very little effort.
Guiding and creating are different.
"But how can I direct water, fire, thunder, and lightning to my advantage?"
Fang Yi truly couldn't think of a solution.
Even when his mind transcended his physical body, he still couldn't control water or any other substance.
"There must be some trick, but I haven't tested it yet."
He slapped his head. What was there to try?
Since this world was rife with myths and legends, it meant that in ancient times, someone like him must have achieved transcendence.
Those pioneers must have already devised methods long before he did.
If he could obtain those methods, wouldn't everything be solved?
Besides, with so many Taoist sects in China, wouldn't there be any temples with records of ancient magic?
Perhaps these ancient spells would seem like sheer sorcery to modern eyes, since without the power of the golden elixir, they wouldn't work.
But if he were lucky enough to learn them, he might actually be able to use them.
Fang Yi's gaze drifted southwestward, towards Longhu Mountain, one of the six ancestral temples of Taoism.
Perhaps there, he could find what he was looking for.
"Let's go to Longhu Mountain,"
he resolved.
But first, he needed to get some rest.
Creating water droplets out of thin air just now consumed too much energy, and he was already exhausted.
Fang Yi insisted on washing the dishes before going back to the bedroom upstairs to sleep.
...
One hour.
Five hours.
He didn't know how long he slept.
Fang Yi woke up drowsily.
He felt extremely weak, as if he had been hungry for three days and three nights.
"How many hours did I sleep?"
He looked out the window at the gray sky, not knowing whether it was evening or early morning, so he had to pick up his phone to check the time.
It would have been fine if he hadn't checked it, but when he did, he was shocked.
He had actually slept for seventeen or eighteen hours.
It was already early morning the next day.
He was so hungry.
Fang Yi quickly got up and went downstairs to find something to eat.
When he came to the kitchen, his mother was serving porridge.
Seeing her son, she immediately asked with concern, "Xiaoyi, are you feeling unwell? I couldn't wake you up last night even when I called you."
Fang Yi couldn't say that his training was exhausting and he needed to sleep to recover, so he just casually replied, "Maybe I got up too early yesterday and was a little tired, so I slept a little longer."
"Well, let's have breakfast," his mother said with a smile. "I saw you eat so much yesterday, so I made extra food today."
Fang Yi called his father over.
The three of them started to eat breakfast.
His parents each had a bowl of porridge.
He drank up most of the remaining iron pot of porridge by himself.
Even so, Fang Yi still felt hungry.
He looked up helplessly and asked, "Mom, is there anything else to eat at home?"
"Xiaoyi, are you feeling unwell?" his father asked with concern.
The mother's eyes were also filled with worry, "Yeah, you're still hungry after eating so much?"
Fang Yi knew his condition and didn't want to worry his parents, so he hurriedly said, "Maybe I didn't eat well at work recently and I didn't get enough nutrition, so I ate a lot when I got home."
"Oh, is that so? Then I'm relieved." The father smiled, "Not enough nutrition?" As he said that, he looked to the side, "Hey, Cheng Lin, where did you put the ginseng my nephew gave me? Take it out and slice it up and make soup for Xiaoyi."
"It's hidden in your closet." The mother pointed to the bedroom on the first floor.
Ginseng?
Fang Yi suddenly remembered that "Mr. Chen's Inner Alchemy Secret" mentioned that after each practice, drink ginseng soup before going to sleep.
He didn't take this introduction too seriously before.
After hearing the conversation between his parents today, he secretly pondered.
Ginseng is a tonic.
Will it be able to replenish a lot of energy after eating it?
If so, he no longer has to worry about over-consumption and affecting his physical condition!
