Chapter 65: The Survival of Wandering Pokémon
Heath scratched his head. He was a little confused as to why Zoroar had become like this, but he didn't think much about it. Instead, he took the dining car to the vegetable market he often went to to buy vegetables.
"Yawn... Spring is coming." Heath yawned, and then looked at the path outside the car window. There were some insects like fireflies flying outside, and on the dim path, stars flashed from time to time.
Heath didn't have much feeling about this scene. Although he was indeed excited when he just came over, Heath has gotten used to it now.
"But what kind of insect is this?" Heath was a little curious. This kind of insect in the Pokémon world often only appears in late winter and spring. Some of them look like fireflies, but Heath is not an entomologist and cannot distinguish this kind of insect.
"What are you talking about? I call them light bugs." Zoroa lay on top of Heath's head, yawned, and his tail swung.
"Light bug? It's a really common name." Heath looked at the path outside the window and couldn't help but smile.
The most beautiful city Heath has ever seen is Odomare, also known as the Water City, which he saw on TV. However, in addition to the world-famous scenery there, what Heath is most interested in are the Water City brothers and sisters.
Heath remembered that Latias had once transformed into a human girl, making her one of the few Pokémon that could transform into a human.
After arriving at the vegetable market, Heath simply bought some ingredients he was missing, then drove to his stall, set up his food cart, and placed tables and chairs outside.
The weather is nice today. Heath looked up and saw no clouds, a sunny day. To be a street vendor, one still needs to know the weather, otherwise no one would sit on a table and chair in the rain to eat.
Heath used to think that small vendors only needed to set up stalls and sell things. Now he realizes that small vendors also have a lot to learn, such as the location of the stall, customer flow, weather, and researching the latest Internet celebrity food. These are all very important.
"Meow!" Heath had just arranged the table and chairs when he heard the meow sound.
Heath looked back and saw Meowth and Rada carefully observing their surroundings in the bushes. After making sure that everything was alright, they came out and came to Heath's side.
The Arbok swam over with its tongue sticking out. It raised its head, and its single eye seemed to reveal some emotion.
"Are you here to ask about Charmander?" Heath thought of a possibility. After all, it was Arbok and the others who brought Charmander here yesterday.
Arbok nodded, and even Meowth, who was lying at Heath's feet and turned over to expose his belly, climbed up and looked at Heath seriously.
The two Radas that were chasing each other and biting each other's tails also stopped, and Heath couldn't help but smile.
For wandering Pokémon , if they want to survive in Evergreen City, they need to unite all the forces that can be united. Arbok is the leader of this small group. It has no aggression towards Rattata and Meowth. Several Pokémon gather together for warmth, and their life in Evergreen City is quite colorful.
Heath knew that Rada was often responsible for searching for food in sewers and some places that were not easy to enter, while Meowth was responsible for searching trash cans and picking up some unwanted food that had fallen on the ground.
As for Arbok, it is responsible for guarding and protecting its companions and preventing other stray Pokémon from attacking their territory.
Of course, there are more than just Arbok and his group of wandering Pokémon in Viridian City. These wandering Pokémon have their own sphere of influence.
"Charmander has entered the Pokémon Center and is now receiving proper treatment. I will capture it and make it my Pokémon." Seath touched Meowth's head with a smile. Arbok nodded, swam to Seath's side and curled up.
Heath touched Arbok's head with a smile, and then unconsciously began to rub Arbok's head with both hands. Arbok was helpless, but considering his friendship with Heath, he still did not take any action.
After rubbing them to their heart's content, Heath put the Arbok down. After giving the little guys some food, Heath returned to his food cart.
"Trainer, aren't you going to capture them?" Zoroark asked Heath curiously. She was very curious why Heath captured Charmander but not Arbok and the others.
"Because they don't want to." Heath shook his head. He had naturally considered those Pokémon that he had a good relationship with, but these guys were not willing to become his Pokémon.
Arbok is disabled, and for some reason, it never allows anyone to tame it. As for Meowth and Rattata, these little guys care about Arbok very much, so they are unwilling to become other people's Pokémon.
"It's so strange, wandering is so hard." Zoroya shook his head, then jumped off Heath's head and lay on her small table.
"Maybe this is everyone's own choice." Heath didn't say much. Everyone has his own way of life.
Heath simply sorted out his ingredients and began to make preparations for today. He needed to prepare the batter for pancakes, and then cut and cook them in advance, all of which had to be done in the morning.
"Good morning, Heath. Is there anything I can eat while I'm sick?" As soon as Heath heard the old and strong voice, he knew who was coming.
"Grandpa Ma Zhide, of course there is. Are you sick?" Heath looked at Ma Zhide and asked with a smile.
The name Ma Zhide is exactly the same as the one in Sword and Shield , but they are not the same person. At first, Heath thought that he was the chosen one and was about to reach the peak of his life, but later he found out that it was a misunderstanding.
"I'm not sick, but Apen is not feeling well. I just sent him to the Pokémon Center. Please, little Joey, keep an eye on him for me." Ma Zhide sighed. His back was very straight, but he couldn't hide the sad look on his face.
Heath sighed. The Charizard had been badly injured in the previous battles and the fight against the evil organization, and its vitality had been greatly depleted. Although it was still in its prime, it looked like an old Pokémon.
"Food to eat when you are sick? I've got an idea. Please wait a moment." Heath thought about it and nodded. He thought of something that was quite suitable to eat when you are sick. After all, patients need to eat light food, but it must also be nutritious.
Based on Charizard's physical condition, Heath has already decided what to make.
