Chapter 62 Office

Chapter 62: Office

. Chen Zhi was hospitalized that morning, and after everything was settled, Feng Ran went to the office.

As he entered, Chen Shuze said sarcastically, "You've rekindled your relationship with your ex, but you're not satisfied with this meager salary, are you?"

Feng Ran grabbed the folder and threw it at him.

Chen Shuze caught it calmly and said, "You want to fight?"

"I won't fight you," Feng Ran said. "Just shut up."

He turned on his computer and began to work. Chen Shuze slammed his pen on the table, walked over, and, with his hands on the table, said, "Is that how you talk to me? When you were screaming in bed the other night, your mouth wasn't as hard as it is now."

Feng Ran's office was surrounded by glass doors, except for the frosted bottom half. Chen Shuze's impudence immediately caught the attention of the employees.

No sound could be heard from outside, but everything that happened was clearly visible. The two wore unfriendly expressions, their distance ambiguous. Chen Shuze, in particular, rarely showed anger, but now looked murderous, leaving everyone imagining a bloody drama of love and hate unfolding within the room.

Feng Ran caught a glimpse of someone glancing at them with amusement, but Chen Shuze remained undeterred, leaning even lower and snapping, "Feng Ran, how much money did your ex-boyfriend give you? Why are you so eager?"

Feng Ran frowned and said, "You've lost all your dignity. I'll move out tomorrow."

Chen Shuze glanced out the door, and the employees all turned their heads.

He taunted, "I thought you were quitting and didn't care what others said."

Feng Ran said, "If you keep disrupting my work like this, I really can't do this. If it doesn't work out, Mr. Chen, find someone else to take over. I'm not capable of that." Chen Shuze

glared at him and walked away.

After two days away, work piled up, leaving him with barely a break at lunch. He quickly ate a couple of bites from his packed lunch and continued working until six or seven in the afternoon, when many people had already left. His stomach growled, and he checked the time: it was lunchtime again.

He picked up his phone and saw over twenty unread messages from Shen Zhi.

"Feng Ran, is this your number?"

"I missed you so much/poor you/"

"Have you eaten yet? When are you coming over today?"

"Are you busy? Please take care of me/feeling wronged/"

"..."

Feng Ran glanced through the messages, which were mostly uninformative, so he replied, "Rest well, listen to the doctor."

"The doctor told me to stay cheerful." Shen Zhi's message arrived immediately.

Feng Ran: "Then you should be cheerful."

"How can I be cheerful when you're not here/crying/" Despite being ill, Shen Zhi's typing speed hadn't been affected at all.

Feng Ran didn't bother to say more and put his phone down. Finance was scarce, and the intern who ran errands had left early, so he'd have to buy dinner himself tonight.

He stood up from his chair. Chen Shuze, who had just entered the office, saw him clearing his desk and raised an eyebrow. "What? Are you moving your workstation while everyone's gone?"

"I'm eating," Feng Ran said. "Don't be crazy, okay?"

Chen Shuze picked up the bag in his hand and said, "I bought it for you." He looked closely and saw that it was the restaurant he loved, where he always had to wait in line for a long time.

Feng Ran's eyes lit up. "So kind?"

"If I weren't kind, would you be so rude?" Chen Shuze placed the lunch box on his desk. "Subordinates are practically bullying the boss. I've never heard of that."

With the delicious food before him, Feng Ran didn't bother to argue. He unpacked the box and chopsticks and began to eat heartily.

Just then, Shen Zhi called, hanging up one call after another, tirelessly.

Chen Shuze came over after hearing the noise: "Who's this?"

Feng Ran said: "Courier."

Then Shen Zhi called for the fifth time, and the name was displayed generously on the screen. Chen Shuze picked up the phone and said: "Courier? Then I'll answer it for you."

Feng Ran reached out to grab it, saying: "Chen Shuze! That's enough."

Chen Shuze held the phone motionless. Feng Ran suddenly felt that everything on the table was dull and put down his chopsticks.

Only the ringtone melody remained in the office.

After this sound stopped, Feng Ran looked at the table and asked: "Do you really want me to leave? Do you want me to resign voluntarily?"

"No."

Feng Ran said: "Then what do you want?"

Chen Shuze threw his phone aside, lifted his neck and kissed him deeply.

Feng Ran was startled. His first thought was to pick up the folder to cover it. Then he thought, if someone really saw it, what difference would it make whether he covered it or not? After

the kiss, Chen Shuze squatted down again and reached out to untie Feng Ran's belt.

"...Don't." He refused. "This is a fucking office. Have you drunk too much?"

Chen Shuze looked confused and said, "The office is better. I've been wanting to be in the office for a long time."

Although it was past the end of the working day, there were still people working overtime in the building. Maybe someone would come and knock on Chen Shuze's door.

Chen Shuze knelt under the table. There was a perfect blind spot between his legs.

Only Feng Ran's upper body could be seen from outside the door.

The phone rang again. He grabbed Chen Shuze's hair with one hand and reached for the phone on the corner of the table with a trembling hand.

Chen Shuze spit out the food, coughed, raised his head, squinted at him and

said, "You dare to answer it." Feng Ran said angrily, "Why shouldn't I answer it?"

Chen Shuze pulled up his zipper and said, "Look in the mirror and see what you look like. Put on your pants first."

It was dark when Feng Ran got off work. Before leaving, Chen Shuze asked if he needed a ride, but Feng Ran refused. He had to go to the hospital first.

Chen Shuze said, "Is it really that shameful?"

Feng Ran responded with the exact same remark, "Nonsense! Look in the mirror and see what you look like."

Chen Shuze's face turned green. Feng Ran, in a good mood, took a taxi and left.

However, upon arriving at the hospital, at the inpatient building, he saw Chen Shuze's car and the man who got out of the driver's seat. He was stunned.

Chen Shuze, triumphant, carrying bird's nest, milk, and other supplements, boasted, "I'm going to see my sister's benefactor. What are you doing here?"

The two of them went upstairs together, neither of them speaking first.

As they exited the elevator, Feng Ran said, "Don't provoke him."

Chen Shuze asked, "What do you mean?"

"He's just a patient. There's no need." Feng Ran saw Shen Yuan at the ward door and lowered his voice. "If you have any complaints, come to me."

Before Chen Shuze could reply, Shen Yuan also noticed them, his eyes widening like light bulbs.

He walked up quickly and asked in a low voice: "Why did you bring him here?! Do you want to piss off my brother to death?"

Feng Ran said indifferently: "I didn't bring him here. He is Ruoruo's brother now. I can't stop him."

Shen Yuan was somewhat shocked when he learned the reason. Then he remembered that Shen Zhi had mentioned before that Ruoruo went to a business family named Chen. Seeing Chen Shuze's calm appearance, he accepted this coincidence with a depressed heart.

He pulled Feng Ran over and said, "Can you please not tell my brother? Just say they are colleagues, okay?"

Feng Ran knew that he must have misunderstood and thought that Chen Shuze was with him. But if Shen Zhi knew that they were not together, but had other unspeakable relationships,

he would probably not be happy at all. Could he not tell which was more important? He nodded and said, "Okay, I know."

The three of them walked into the ward together.
