Chapter 590 The whole story
Night fell on the Kii Peninsula. The elevated railway cast bright sparks as the trains passed by, pedestrians hurried by, and neon lights flashed dimly in the rain.
But that was in the most prosperous metropolis on the Kii Peninsula, the more remote Taiji Town. There were no colorful signs or advertisements, only the calm black sea.
It rained heavily for more than ten hours . Looking around, under the round street lights, everything was gray and it was impossible to make out anything.
The door lock on this side had just popped out and fastened, and the window on the other side was opened again, and a man wearing a linen hood jumped into the room.
Richard and the others' expressions tensed up, but when they saw who was coming, they relaxed their straight backs.
His hair, which was covered with linen, was completely soaked, and gave off a strong earthy smell. He took off his short-sleeved shirt and twisted it, squeezing out a wave of brown dirt and water, which he shook off cleanly.
"Huh, I fell on the way here, and my body is covered in mud. Where's Bifang? Why isn't he here? Is he not here yet, or am I too late? Oh, thank you."
Mugalen scratched his wet hair. The rain slid down his thick and powerful eyebrows in a line and dripped onto the floor along his jaw.
He thanked Mond, took the dry towel handed to him and wiped the mixture of sweat and rain, then hung it on the bracket. Unexpectedly, the rusty bracket suddenly broke and fell to the ground.
The pipe, whose edges had been rusted into a hollow shape, was smashed into pieces, leaving reddish-brown rust residue all over the ground.
Mugalen raised his hands: "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to do that."
"It's okay, we're used to it, just leave it there." Richard smiled and motioned Mugalen to sit down.
Mugalen looked around the small room and saw that there was no bench left for him.
Damn, no wonder the Japanese have such thick legs. Aren’t they tired of kneeling every day?
Several people nearby made way for Bifang, revealing his original position again. Mu Jialun sat down and asked, "So, where are the others?"
Mugalen's physique was even bigger than Bifang's. Once he squeezed in, the original space became even more cramped, and there was even an illusion that breathing had become difficult.
Richard glanced and pointed to the door not far away: "He has left."
"So, the induction course is over, and everything is fine?"
Richard apologized: "Yes, I'm sorry, it's a wasted trip for you."
Mu Jialun chuckled: "That's not the case. If he's not here, it would be convenient. Otherwise, it would be embarrassing. Ahem, there is something I want to discuss with you all."
Everyone stood up and listened attentively.
Mugalen was about to speak when he suddenly straightened up and sniffed: "Wait, what's that smell?"
"Oh." Mond suddenly realized, "Wait a minute."
He got up and opened the toilet door, and an even stronger stench hit him.
Heavy rains washed over the city. The sewers, which had been in disrepair for many years and gradually became clogged, could not bear the heavy load and often gurgled with black water. A faint smell of toilets wafted through the cramped houses .
Mond skillfully took out a few plastic bags, crumpled them into a ball, and stuffed them into the hole, blocking the source of the black water.
The stench in the air dissipated immediately.
Mu Jialun looked surprised: "You live here now?"
Ke Ke smiled bitterly: "What can we do? It's good enough that we have a place to live now. At least we don't have to sleep in the park and we won't be driven away by the police."
Mugalen took a deep breath and felt that the trip to Japan would be difficult.
There are people filming everywhere, and if they make a mistake, they will be arrested and locked up, and then deported. Now they don’t even have a place to stay. They can only find abandoned houses rented by lame old men, and they have to endure blackmail from time to time.
When everyone thought of this, they all sighed.
After a moment of silence, Mu Jialun spoke: "This is the only way now, let's continue..."
In the cramped room, everyone listened quietly. The more they listened, the more interesting the expressions on their faces became, and their eyes were full of surprise when they looked at Mugalen.
"We started in early July, and now it's mid-August, almost a month has passed. The further we wait, the greater the risk that Bifang's help to you will be exposed."
"The Japanese are very stubborn. We can't even understand their train of thought. But one thing is for sure: they are not fools. No matter how well we do, we must consider the day when Bifang is exposed. Everyone, have you ever thought about asking Bifang for help? Have you ever thought about what will happen after the incident?"
The air grew increasingly silent.
"Send him back home?" Mond asked.
"I don't know either."
Mugalen shook his head, staring at everyone, and said firmly: "But precisely because we don't know, we can't take the risk!"
"What do you have in mind?" Jarrett asked.
Mugalen must have a mature solution since he came to discuss this matter now.
Mu Jialun nodded: "Yes, I have an idea. In a few days, I will go and 'turn myself in'!"
The electrical expert was confused: "Turn yourself in? What does that mean?"
"In the next few days, I will deliberately reveal some flaws and wait for them to come looking for me. At that time, I will bear all the consequences and responsibilities. As long as someone admits everything, it will greatly divert their attention."
"Even if they still notice something is wrong, we can still delay it for at least a month. By then, Bifang will definitely not be in Japan anymore. If something happens, the danger won't be too great."
"But what can you do? Just like you said, no one knows what the Japanese government will do when it gets anxious. What if they accuse you of stealing secrets ?"
"So it's even more important to let me in." Mu Jialun said in a light tone, "I'm just a small person. I like to hunt in the mountains. I don't have much influence. But Bifang is different. He is a big shot. The people he knows and the influence he can exert are much greater than mine."
"If I go in, he has the ability to get me out. But if he goes in, I don't have the ability to get him out. So, I go."
A flash of lightning cut through half of the sky, instantly illuminating the room. Everyone who was listening showed a look of shock on their faces.
Mugalen's joining was a surprise.
Everyone present was very familiar with who Bifang was and what he had done. They were even familiar with him by name, and most of them had watched his replays.
But Mugalen, except Jarrett and Mond, everyone else is unfamiliar with Mugalen.
If Bifang hadn't invited them, they wouldn't be sitting in the same room at this moment.
"You..." Mandy tried to say something, but hesitated for a long time, "Oh, okay."
This is the optimal solution.
If someone is bound to be discovered, that person had better not be Bifang.
The most capable people should not be confined in a small cage.
A tiger in the wild is a real tiger.
"It was raining heavily that day, and these are his exact words." Richard stared at Bifang with his blue pupils, his tone sad.
"Berson's arrest was an accident, but I think he would never admit that it was related to Dolphin Bay, so Mugalen carried out the plan. He asked us not to tell you before that, saying that you would not agree."
Both sides were silent for several minutes.
After a moment.
"I will rescue him."
Bifang said.
