Chapter 59 Farewell

Chapter 59 Farewell

"Master Keigo, is something wrong?"

I left the engagement party at the Oshima family early in the afternoon and took the next flight to Tokyo. It was already around eight or nine o'clock in the evening. It was drizzling at night, soft and silent. The whole airport was brightly lit, and the wet ground was glowing with a hazy luster.

The black Lincoln sped away on the airport highway. Atobe Keigo leaned on the seat and put his wrist on the window sill, looking at the night view of the lights all the way. He did not answer Akiyama's question, but just said an address lightly.

The latter was obviously stunned for a moment, but did not ask more questions. He turned the car off the highway and drove into the city.

The colorful lights in the city looked gorgeous and desolate in the rain. There were pedestrians walking together on the roadside, young men and women, joys and sorrows.

Atobe just watched lightly until the car turned into a secluded community, and the towering apartment buildings were lit up.

He pushed the door open and got out of the car. He stood downstairs and stood tall. He suddenly remembered that the Christmas Eve of that year was similar, except that the sky was snowing, like scattered white cherry blossoms.

When the doorbell rang, Youji was packing her luggage. Various clothes and cosmetics occupied half of the bed. She was slightly startled when she heard the noise outside the door, then put down the clothes in her hand and walked to the living room.

He opened the door and raised his eyes inadvertently, but was stunned for a moment.

Atobe Keigo leaned against the door frame, his suit jacket tucked in his arm, and a button on the collar of his light-colored plaid shirt was undone. His posture was lazy but elegant. His purple-gray hair seemed to be stained with rain. His dark gray eyes only looked at him steadily, as deep as a pool of water, with unclear meaning.

She froze there for a while, not knowing how to move.

But he took advantage of her time to react and suddenly stepped in and hugged her in his arms. The door closed due to inertia, and the dim light of the entrance hall fell to the ground.

She wanted to struggle, but he held her tighter, as if he wanted to embed himself into her body. The surroundings were filled with a familiar breath that penetrated every corner.

In the silence, she felt the urge to cry.

"You..." She twitched her lips slightly, "What are you doing?"

Atobe did not answer.

His chin rested on her neck, and he could not see her expression, but his words were slow, with a hint of sigh: "I skipped the engagement party of that guy Oshitari and rushed here from Osaka. Are you going to kick me out?"

"Atobe?"

She was stunned for a moment, but he let go of her hand and looked at her innocently: "I'm hungry, is there anything to eat?"

So she sighed and had to turn around to look through the refrigerator.

But this time, she did not perform up to her standard. The fried egg on the soba noodles that were finally served was mostly burnt.

"Are you sure you didn't mean it?"

"Sorry, my skills are limited, so just make do with it." It was just that I was distracted when frying the eggs, and her apology was quite sincere.

So Atobe had to twitch his lips and reluctantly accepted it.

In fact, he just liked to see her washing her hands and cooking soup, wearing her homely pajamas and with her hair loose, which made him feel that they seemed to be an ordinary couple who had lived together for many years.

"Are you packing up? Where are you going?"

When half of the noodle soup in the bowl was left, Atobe still asked. He could see the mess in the bedroom from the living room and roughly guessed it.

"My father went to New York to work, and I plan to go there to develop together."

She did not hide it, but Atobe frowned when he heard it, and the hand holding the chopsticks trembled slightly.

"What about Hasegawa?"

"No need." She said, "The damned person is dead, and everything ends like this."

"If I don't come today, are you going to leave without saying anything?"

She paused for a moment: "Don't you already know?"

"Terashima Yuki!" Atobe was a little annoyed and put down the chopsticks in his hand heavily.

Yuki raised his eyes and said nothing.

Atobe tightened his fist, then loosened it, as if he was trying his best to suppress his emotions.

"You are really cruel." He said bitterly, "Even if I die on the operating table, you won't come to see me, huh?"

"Who signed the divorce agreement and sent it to me?"

She raised her voice, and Atobe was slightly startled, biting his lip subconsciously: "So, you would rather run away than have anything to do with me?"

His voice was not loud, but she heard it with a little bit of reluctance.

"No." She said, turned around and leaned against the table, "I just want to change the environment. I remember you said before that if I cooperate with you, I can work less for ten years. Now it seems to be true, but now, I suddenly want to see how far I can go without Atobe Keigo."

The proud woman has her own ambitions after all.

Atobe looked at her back quietly, the anger in his eyes gradually faded, leaving only a faint sense of loss.

"Really." He responded and stopped talking.

After a long time, Youji turned around and cleaned up the remaining dishes. Tebe leaned against the kitchen door and watched her wash the dishes quietly, then put the washed dishes into the cupboard.

Occasionally, there was a slight sound of porcelain colliding, drawing a ripple in the air. After

she wiped her hands and walked out of the kitchen, he reached out and hugged her around the waist. She was stunned for a moment, but he didn't say anything. He just tightened his arms slightly and buried his chin in her shoulder. Their breaths met. The room was silent, and you could vaguely hear the rain outside the window, rising and falling like the tide in the distance.

Then his kiss fell, light and clear, brushing across the corners of her eyes and eyebrows, and the familiar temperature fell on his lips. He saw that her delicate eyes were actually moist.

"Are you crying?" He said, his fingertips had already stroked the corners of her eyes.

She lowered her head slightly and didn't answer.

"You Ji." Atobe sighed softly and hugged her tightly, "Really, you don't miss it?"

The woman didn't speak for a long time before she sighed softly.

"Our deal is over."

"Then how about starting over?"

"Atobe." She sighed, "I'm not a qualified wife. With your status, you can marry a woman with a family background of equal status, gentle and docile..."

Before she could continue, her lips were sealed by his fingertips.

"Three years." He said, "If after three years, there is no new man around you, and I don't have another woman, then come back to me."

The voice was not loud, but it was powerful enough to not be rejected.

You Ji was stunned for a moment and couldn't speak.

"If you don't speak, then you agree." Atobe smiled, with a taste of success in his eyes.

She could only sigh unhappily, pushed him aside and walked into the bedroom, tidying up the clothes spread out on the bed: "We are leaving the day after tomorrow, I need to pack my things, it's very late, you should go back."

"I have already driven the car back to Akiyama." Atobe followed in, looking innocently at the rainy night outside, "and you didn't bring an umbrella."

Yuki put the folded clothes into the suitcase: "Why don't we just call him and ask him to drive over again?"

Atobe hugged his chest and looked at her, with a playful arc on the corner of his mouth. He walked over and put his arm around her waist on the edge of the bed.

"What are you afraid of, ah?" He chuckled and pecked her lips lightly. She seemed to be startled and lost her balance and fell on the bed. He pressed on her and entangled her all the way and then went deeper.

"You... let go..." She struggled, but he held her deeper. In the end, she panicked and shouted, "Be careful of the child!"

Atobe's original intention was just to tease her, but she was stunned by her shouting, and stood up to look at her with an expression of disbelief in his eyes: "What did you say?"

Yuki saw his reaction and knew that he had said something wrong. He sighed in annoyance: "I thought Oshitari had already told you."

Atobe just reacted.

"So that's what he meant?" He said bitterly, "This Kansai wolf... didn't even explain it clearly!"

Yuki looked at his expression, and she curled her lips in relief. She took his hand and put it on her belly: "It's been here for three months. The doctor said it's developing well."

Her belly was still flat, no different from before. Touching it through the clothes, she felt a strange feeling.

The proud Ice Emperor was at a loss for a moment.

The so-called blood relationship is really a wonderful thing.

"Even so, you still want to leave?" His eyes darkened, and he was slightly unhappy.

"If he was born in Japan, it would be too conspicuous." Yuki said lightly, "I don't want him to be born without a father. If you want, you can come to see him anytime. As for whether he wants to be a child of the Atobe family, let him decide for himself when he grows up."

Atobe had no intention of compromising. He looked down at her with a dark look in his eyes.

So she added: "You said it yourself, three years."

Atobe suddenly felt that he was being calculated.

"I object. You deliberately concealed the information. I take back what you said."

He leaned down with a sullen face and looked at her closely, but the latter smiled gently.

"Don't play tricks." She suddenly became mischievous and touched his nose with her slender fingertips. "The objection is invalid."

The rain did not stop that night, and it became heavier later. Atobe was finally able to stay in this small apartment, holding the woman in his arms, and there was a long-lost warmth.

"Remember to call when you get there."

"Yes."

"Don't be too tired, and take a rest."

"Yes"

"Don't ignore my phone calls."

"Yes."

"Don't reply to emails." "

Yes."

"No..."

Then sleepiness attacked again and again, and the sound of rain in the second half of the night sounded.

Two days later, Lane Lindsay got up to take up his post in New York, and Yuki accompanied him. Tezuka Kunimitsu and Sakai Otonashi came to see him off. The sky above Narita Airport was blue, and the white clouds were gray.

"Have you talked to Atobe?"

"Yes, it's been resolved."

"It's rare that he is willing to let people go."

Tezuka Kunimitsu said, thinking of the man's arrogant look.

And Yuki couldn't help but smile when she thought of his expression when he was tricked that day.

Neither of them was a talkative person. When the broadcast urging security check sounded, they said goodbye to each other.

After completing the complicated procedures and passing through the security check gate, when she looked back, Tezuka Kunimitsu was still standing there, his figure was upright and eye-catching. Sakai beside him waved at her from a distance, as if he was trying hard to hold back tears.

For a moment, a damp mist floated up. This piece of land that allowed her to live and her companions and comrades who accompanied her all the way were finally going to say goodbye one by one.

When she turned and walked into the ticket gate, Lan En looked back at her: "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." She nodded, with an elegant smile.

It was dusk, the afterglow of the sun dyed the entire apron red, and the white plane soared into the sky amid the rumbling sound of the engine, and the huge wings cast a dove-grey reflection on the runway.

Atobe Keigo stood in front of the huge French window with his hands behind his back, covered in gorgeous sunset, and the whole person looked like an ancient nobleman walking out of an oil painting.

He raised his head, and the fuselage had turned into a small dot, and a beautiful arc was crossing the endless blue sky.
