Chapter 58: Jigglypuff Wants to Become an Idol
"Pudding?" Jigglypuff looked at Heath blankly. Obviously she didn't know what the new breakfast Heath was talking about.
"That's it, special offer on new dishes, ten bucks a serving." Heath pointed to the sign next to him with a smile, then patiently explained to Jigglypuff.
Jigglypuff looked a little hesitant, and Heath was not in a hurry. But after a while, Jigglypuff shook her head. It seemed that she still wanted to eat her own pancake. Heath did not force Jigglypuff to make a choice, but turned around and started making her own pancake.
Heath and Jigglypuff met a year and a half ago. At that time, when Heath was setting up a stall here, he saw a tired Jigglypuff slowly walking out of a nightclub.
It was the first time that Heath saw a Pokémon enter a human nightclub, so he looked at the Jigglypuff curiously. Jigglypuff also noticed Heath's gaze, and then smelled the pleasant pancake scent of Heath's place.
From then on, Heath had a loyal customer. Every time after singing at a nightclub, Jigglypuff would buy a pancake from Heath to fill his stomach. Although Jigglypuff is very cute, the path of being an idol is still too difficult.
Not to mention the equally beautiful singing Sea Lion and the powerful rivals like Tanabata Bluebird, there are many Pokémon working as idols in Viridian City alone.
Heath was not surprised by Pokémon idols, although he was surprised when he first learned about them. But now Heath can treat them calmly.
Being an idol is a profession that relies heavily on fame, but Jigglypuff is currently one of those unknown types. Fortunately, Jigglypuff's singing is pretty good, and he doesn't sing like in the animation, where others would fall asleep when he sings.
"Have you gained more fans today?" Heath chatted with Jigglypuff while making pancakes.
"Pudding..." Although Heath didn't understand, he could guess roughly from Jigglypuff's appearance and tone. It seemed that Jigglypuff was not having a smooth day today.
Heath turned the pancake over and squeezed a lot of ketchup on it before handing it to Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff likes ketchup very much, which is a bit like Zoroark.
"Come on, Jigglypuff. I'm looking forward to showing off your first autograph to others." Heath smiled and held up a small sign and shook it. Jigglypuff nodded happily, then skipped away.
"What is an idol?" Zoroark asked curiously as he watched Jigglypuff leave.
"It's a glamorous, but also very hard and competitive profession." Heath briefly summarized it, then took out the book "Evergreen City Real Questions" and flipped through it silently.
Heath didn't know if Jigglypuff could stand out in the cruel world of idols, but he hoped that he could see her standing on the stage of the largest concert venue in the Kanto Alliance and conquer all the fans.
[You entertained Jigglypuff, and you got the Dream Microphone]
Heath was stunned for a moment. What kind of strange thing was this? Thinking of this, Heath touched his trouser pocket, but there was nothing. It seemed that it was not on him.
Heath rummaged through the cabinet again and then saw the strange thing.
[Dream Microphone: You who hold the microphone are the god of all those suffering from sleep disorders (please do not use it for strange things)]
Heath's mouth twitched. Good man, what does the content in the brackets mean? Is he that kind of person ? Is he the kind of person who hypnotizes people and then does whatever he wants?
However, looking at the microphone in his hand, Heath felt that maybe this thing really was an incredible artifact. It should be able to have the effect of a lullaby, and it was indeed very useful for people who had difficulty falling asleep.
What made Heath even happier was that the progress of his Chef Eye mission had increased by one more person. Heath felt that the day when he would complete this mission was just around the corner.
"But I don't know if I can pass Subject One smoothly. There are still Subjects Two, Three and Four after that. I hope the contents of these exams will be more normal..." Heath sighed, and continued to flip through the book in his hand.
"Heath, are you launching a new breakfast?" Sakaki came again. Heath put down the book and looked at him strangely. He always felt that Sakaki had a lot of time. Shouldn't he be very busy?
"Well, Mr. Sakaki, we have a new breakfast today, crispy beef noodles. Would you like to try it?" Heath asked Sakaki with a smile. Business still had to be done.
"Try it. Add more chili to it. I like spicy food." Sakaki immediately took out the money and handed it to Heath.
Heath took it with a smile, and then made a bowl of hot and crispy beef noodles for Mr. Sakaki, putting more beef in it, which was Heath's habit.
"Mr. Sakaki, speaking of which, did King Du find out anything the last time he came here?" Heath thought of what he had seen before, the flying-type... no, the dragon-type King Adu.
"King Dutian? King Dutian came here to investigate last time and then left. This accident was actually caused by the operational errors of the chemical plant employees themselves. There is no problem." Sakaki was stunned for a moment, but still told Heath about it.
Heath nodded. He thought that Adu came here specifically to investigate clues about Team Rocket. By the way, when did Adu discover that Sakaki was actually the boss of Team Rocket?
Looking at Sakaki who was eating noodles in big mouthfuls in front of him, Heath felt that it was probably something that happened later. At the moment, Sakaki was not so arrogant that the gym didn't want to maintain it.
"Mr. Sakaki, by the way, do you know what the specialty of Pallet Town is?" Heath looked at Sakaki in front of him and asked curiously.
"Pallet Town? The specialty of Pallet Town? Do Professor Oak's Pokémon count?" Sakaki smiled. Speaking of Pallet Town, he thought of Professor Oak, the strong old man.
The Rocket Team has been avoiding Pallet Town and Viridian City during this period of time. Viridian City is its base, so there is no Team Rocket, while Pallet Town is simply because of Professor Oak.
Many people don’t know how strong Professor Oak is, but Sakaki knows it well. Professor Oak has strength that is no less than that of the king. It’s just that I don’t know if Professor Oak is still as strong as before as time goes by.
Heath was a little confused. He couldn't just go to Professor Oak and buy a Pokémon to cook, could he? He was afraid that he would be beaten to death by Professor Oak.
"Mr. Sakaki, I'm talking about the ingredients." Heath hurriedly explained. He didn't want to try what it was like to cook Pokémon.
"Huh? Ingredients?" Sakaki looked at Heath with a helpless look, why didn't you tell him earlier.
