Chapter 52: Shocking Situation
Zhao Zihao suddenly stretched out his hand to me and I shook his hand in return.
With useful evidence in hand, I stayed at Zhao Zihao's house that night.
A few of us were lying on a kang, and everyone was thinking about something, so naturally there was no chatting.
I fell asleep in a daze , and I didn't know how long I slept. I was woken up by a knock on the door.
"He's still asleep. He probably drank too much last night. We didn't know which dormitory he lived in at the time, so we brought him directly to my house. Don't worry, he's safe. You wait here for a while, I'll go in and wake him up."
Zhao Zihao's voice sounded outside the door. There were many people outside the door, and their footsteps were chaotic.
I didn't wait for Zhao Zihao to come in and call me. I just put on a coat and walked out.
Standing outside the door were my cousin, Dong Jing, Hu Yue and some villagers.
When the villagers saw me, they all said to my cousin, "Don't worry, Mr. Wen. I told you that Secretary Zhao will take good care of him."
My cousin didn't look very good. He looked a little haggard and a little angry.
"Where the hell have you been? We've been looking for you all night!"
He looked fierce and was about to hit me when he saw me.
I had just woken up and was still groggy. I had no way of avoiding his slap in the face.
He probably didn't think that I wouldn't hide. Looking at my red left cheek, he looked a little guilty.
"Why don't you come back with me quickly? You don't want to even have breakfast at Secretary Zhao's house, do you?"
As he said this, my cousin avoided my gaze, reached out and grabbed my ear and pulled me out .
I was in so much pain that I couldn't speak and could only follow him.
"Don't ask anything, just follow me, I found the clue."
My cousin whispered in my ear, and the hand that was holding my ear relaxed a little.
I followed him all the way to the dormitory, and only when we reached the door did she let go of my ear.
"Come in quickly, Dong Jing and I both have clues."
My cousin looked around and saw that there was no one following him, so he hurriedly opened the door of the dormitory.
Dong Jing saw her cousin sitting down to drink water. She also had some clues in her hand, and she estimated that they had communicated last night, so she explained it to me.
"We learned from the villagers yesterday that a strange thing happened in that school 20 years ago. Eight children died of food poisoning. After they died, they were not buried in their own ancestral graves, but underground in the school."
When Dong Jing said this, the corners of my mouth curled up. He probably knew that I had heard the news from other people.
So she continued, “I heard from the villagers that it was the shocking situation left by the cafeteria aunt.”
I don't know about this. I raised my eyebrows and looked at her: "What do you mean?"
"Before she became a cafeteria aunt, the cafeteria aunt was actually a fortune teller. She wanted to use the lives of eight children to suppress this village, so that this village would no longer suffer the injustice of fate and allow other children to survive."
I felt numb all over as I listened to Dong Jing's words.
"Why would she trade the lives of eight children for a stake? He is not the Emperor of Heaven, nor is he the savior. Every life is equal. Why would she?"
I was a little excited, so I slammed my hand on the table and stood up.
Seeing this, my cousin quickly reached out and grabbed me.
"Are you sick? Speak a little quieter! Speak a little quieter! Can't you hear me? Aren't we solving this problem now?"
solve?
How to deal with it?!
The person is already dead and there is no place to be buried!
They were all buried under the school, and even if their souls came back to life they wouldn’t know where to go.
When I think of this, I feel very angry.
There is nothing important in life except death.
"There's nothing we can do about this. We can only clean up the school and bury those who need to be buried." Dong Jing reached out and grabbed my arm.
Her hands were slender and soft, and my manic mood was immediately soothed and ironed smooth.
"Don't worry, we'll set off tonight. As long as they encounter injustice, it will definitely cause foul energy. We will try to communicate and resolve the matter then."
I looked at Dong Jing and knew she was coaxing me.
If I still lose my temper, it will seem like I am not very sensible.
But this incident really made me unable to calm down for a long time, so I nodded, took the cigarette box, and went out to stay alone.
There is a rocking chair on the flat ground, which Hu Yue usually uses when he sits here to bask in the sun.
I sat in the rocking chair and lit a cigarette.
I kept thinking about what Dong Jing had just said.
Something is wrong.
Although the timeline is the same as what I know, but if I remember correctly, Zhao Zihao told me before that someone is looking for a scapegoat.
Who is looking for a scapegoat?
How come people always die in school for no reason?
And why is the data so accurate? Every year around the Qingming Festival, someone dies in school.
why is that?!
The more I thought about it, the less I understood it, and I started to feel a little confused.
I don’t know why, but suddenly I felt dizzy, my vision went dark and I lost consciousness.
When I woke up again, it was already afternoon.
Dong Jing was staying next to me at this time. I opened my eyes and looked at her. She looked a little nervous.
"Are you awake? You were sick just now. I fed you some medicine and you are fine now."
She stood up and poured me a glass of water, still mumbling, "You can't get too happy or angry now. Your ancient curse has entered your blood. If you get too happy or angry, your blood will speed up and reach your heart, and you'll be dead."
"Before I fainted, I was thinking about one thing. Secretary Zhao told me that every year someone dies in school. Doesn't this go against the original intention of the cafeteria aunt?"
Dong Jing paused while pouring water, put the bottle down and looked back at me.
"Someone dies in school every year?"
"Yes, and it was around the Qingming Festival."
"Oops!"
Dong Jing turned around and ran out, leaving me alone in the room, confused as to what was going on.
After a while, my cousin and Dong Jing ran in together.
He looked at me with a serious expression and asked, "One person dies every year?"
I nodded. What on earth was going on?
"That should be a serial conspiracy. As for the purpose, I don't know yet. Let's go to the school tonight and take a look. I think we will find some clues."
I looked at my cousin and frowned: "What game?"
"I can't tell you now because I don't know what's going on yet. So, when we go to school tonight, you help me find something."
Looking for something?
