Chapter 5 The pale boy lying in the hospital 5

After a moment of silence, I smiled, closed the ward door, and sat back down next to Ye Jing's bed.
If I could really help him even a little bit...how great it would be.
The guy in the mirror was quiet all day, and the boy lying on the hospital bed was even quieter... I reached out and gently held his hand with the infusion tube, carefully.
I quietly looked at the frail boy lying on the hospital bed, and before I knew it, tears had already fallen down my chin.
I don’t know how long it had been, but suddenly a familiar voice sounded behind me, but this voice carried a bit of unfamiliar heartache and tenderness.
"Idiot, why are you crying... Am I not fine here?"
I don't know when Ye Jing came out of the mirror and stood behind me.
I sniffled and looked back at him between sobs, "Look, I touched you."
He stood behind me calmly, looking down at me, as if the person lying on the bed was not him. However, when he saw me crying, his beautiful black eyes were full of pity.
"Okay, stop crying, I'm here," he repeated.
I watched him raise his hand as if he wanted to wipe my tears, but he suddenly stopped right before it touched my face. He looked at his translucent hand with a very calm expression on his face... Then, he suddenly smiled and put his hand down.
"It's okay. This is fine." He looked at me with an expression that was almost too gentle to be his. "I'm already very content."
Contentment? What could he be content with? He was such an excellent and beautiful person, but now he is like this. I am the only one who can see him. His spirit has to be attached to the mirror and has to live with me day and night... He even has to listen to other students talking about his accident from time to time.
Is there one thing that can make him feel content?
I suddenly burst into tears and sat on a chair next to the bed with a look of embarrassment, crying loudly, trying to cry out all the sadness that was stuck in my heart and couldn't be expressed.
"Hey! Luo Huayin, you——"
Suddenly, the corners of Ye Jing's mouth twitched, and the gentleness just now instantly turned into madness.
"Alright, alright! How old are you? Can you keep your voice down? Stop crying! If the nurse comes crying, she'll think I'm dead!"
die?
As soon as I heard this sensitive word, I immediately raised my voice and cried loudly.
"Oh! Luo Huayin, you..."
After struggling for more than an hour, when I was kicked out of the ward by the head nurse and left the hospital, the sky had already turned completely dark, with stars dotted across the night sky.
I walked along the way with a pair of walnut-shaped eyes swollen from crying, feeling depressed.
Ye Jing seemed a little embarrassed, and contrary to his usual behavior, he would talk to me from time to time, although I was completely unable to muster the energy to pay attention to him...
"Luo Huayin, look, there's a park here. Do you want to come and visit it on the weekend?"
Without even lifting my eyelids, I kicked the pebbles at my feet.
Ye Jing coughed lightly, looked at me cautiously, and spoke very carefully: "I'm fine, why are you so desperate..."
I took a deep breath, looked up ahead and frowned.
"Stop, stop! I'm just talking casually, please don't cry. We are on the street now!" Ye Jing hurriedly stepped in front of me, leaned down to look at me, and walked backwards.
I looked at the man in front of me with a nervous face and his eyes drooping listlessly.
"I'm not going to cry." I waved my hands and whispered to him, not wanting to care if there was anyone around who might hear my "soliloquy".
"That's good..." He let out a sigh of relief and walked back to me.
After walking quietly for a while, Ye Jing suddenly spoke again, unwilling to be lonely.
"Luo Huayin, I heard you chatting with my mom today. I heard you say there are so many girls who like me that I can't even count them. Haha, I see you know! Why don't you be nicer to me in the future?"
Quiet, quiet.
I ignored him, and he coughed awkwardly again and continued.
"Actually, you look pretty good without glasses... haha... but you can't wear contact lenses all the time, it's not good for your eyes ."
I still ignored him.
"And your skirt today is also pretty good. Wear it more often in the future."
All the way home, Ye Jing was chattering in a way that was unusual for him, trying hard to make me happy.
When I approached the door of my house, I suddenly stopped, turned around and looked at him seriously.
"Uh, what's wrong?"
Ye Jing was startled by me unexpectedly. He blinked his beautiful black eyes like gems and looked at me with a little panic.
I suddenly burst out laughing.
He stared at me and laughed. After a while, he relaxed and started laughing too.
"Ye Jing, how come you can be so nagging sometimes!" After laughing for a long while, I stopped and wiped away the little bit of moisture from the corners of my eyes.
"Who knows?" He shrugged and looked down at me. "You should ask yourself. Maybe you infected me."
I raised my eyebrows like he usually does, and then told him what I had been holding back all day: "Ye Jing, I will definitely try my best to help you, and I will help you as much as I can!"
"You really like to meddle in other people's business."
After a while, Ye Jing smiled, revealing his beautiful dimples.
"Oh, then hit me." I made a face at him.
The smile on his face got even bigger: "It's so ugly, your face is full of snot and tears, go home and wash your face."
I turned my head and walked towards home with big strides. The depression that had been weighing on my heart for the whole day was finally swept away.
After making the decision, I felt relieved .
I walked upstairs, opened the door, and happily changed my shoes while shouting inside: "Mom, I'm back!"
After several seconds, my mother responded to me, her voice sounding a little strange: "Hana is back..."
Um?
What's wrong?
The house was very quiet. There was no sound of cooking as usual at this time, and the TV was not on.
After changing my shoes, I looked at Ye Jing in surprise... It was heard my mother speak in such a strange tone.
"Mom?" I walked to the living room, "Why don't you turn on the TV?"
The next second, when I walked into the living room, I saw the middle-aged man in a suit and tie sitting on the sofa with a serious face.
I stood still as if struck by lightning, and the bag in my hand fell to the ground.
Ye Jing looked at me, then looked at the two people sitting on the sofa with different expressions: "What's wrong?"
After a long pause, I looked at the silent middle-aged man and struggled to find my voice.
"dad?"
