Chapter 46 Case Report
Zhao Xinli opened his eyes.
Looking in the direction of Zhou Ning's finger, although it was bloody, it was better than those charcoal-like areas. He let go of his hand and quickly reached for the camera.
Zhou Ning didn't say anything. People are like this. After seeing the most unacceptable things, they can accept the bloody conditions that they found before smoothly, and after seeing them, they still have to ask him for help.
With the sound of shutter clicks, Zhao Xinli took a lot of photos. Zhou Ning took out the stomach of the deceased and took samples of other tissues before simply suturing the wound.
It was not that he did not want to sew carefully, nor was it because he wanted to end it hastily because the patient was a criminal, but he could not do it. After all, the epidermis was carbonized and would shatter as soon as the needle went in, so he could only select the muscle layer and close the chest and abdomen.
There were no fractures on the deceased's head and no other injuries were found upon touching, so Zhou Ning gave up on performing a craniotomy.
Zhao Xinli retched for a while and returned to the dissection table after he recovered.
"You've finished this, too? What have you found? Just now, Xu Da sent you a text message asking if you have any information about the suspect 's identity."
Zhou Ning shook his head. With the fire like this, there wasn’t much valuable information left.
"There is not much information. The first collision with the bus caused fractures in his ribs and sternum. One of his ribs pierced his heart, causing pericardial tamponade. So when the 120 emergency workers checked him, he was in a state of suspended animation. At that time, no matter what he did, his consciousness was blurred.
The deceased was a male, between 170 and 175 cm tall, and between 40 and 50 years old. The remaining fingers were carbonized and fingerprints could not be extracted. If one wanted to know the exact age, one would need to take a pubic symphysis, but this would take longer and the results would not be available until tomorrow.
However, I found that the deceased had little fat, especially the muscles of the limbs were very developed, the abdominal wall was very thin, the joints and ligaments of the wrists and shoulders were well developed, and there were smoke and tea stains on the teeth, which showed that he was a person who had done heavy physical labor for a long time.
Also, the deceased's upper left first incisor is missing half, and the root of the tooth is a little loose. I think it was broken not long ago, within a month, which is a relatively characteristic feature. "
When this was said, Zhao Xinli seemed to forget his previous discomfort and directly called Xu Dayuan. Zhou Ning shook his neck, but he didn't lean over to talk. After all, he had done two autopsies in a row. This high-intensity work and the physical and mental challenges made people extremely tired.
After hanging up the phone, Zhao Xinli looked at Zhou Ning.
"The boss said that there is no need for an autopsy on the bodies on the bus. People from the deceased's unit will bring their family members to identify them later. As for the forklift driver, they have a direction. With our features, I'm sure they can match him up right away."
Zhou Ning nodded and glanced at the time. He felt dizzy and it was already 18:20. He quickly took off his clothes, hat and mask and sat down.
"Let them send the forklift driver's body back. I'll take a short break. I have hypoglycemia."
Zhao Xinli helped Zhou Ning walk out of the autopsy room. There was a bench outside. Zhao Xinli helped Zhou Ning sit down, after all, the autopsy room was full of burnt smell. Then he handed Zhou Ning a box of milk.
"You sit here and drink your milk. I'll ask Xiao Liu and the others to come over."
As he spoke, Zhao Xinli went to make arrangements. Not long after, three people came pulling a flatbed cart, and the body, covered with a cloth, was pushed out. The door here was not closed yet, and He Chunyang walked in with a few people. Among them was a middle-aged woman who was supported. She seemed to have no strength in her feet. As soon as she came in, her crying and shouting suddenly became louder.
Needless to say, these are the family members of the deceased on the bus and the leaders of their unit.
Seeing this scene, Zhou Ning suddenly thought of a joke.
The medical teacher gave his last lesson to his students and asked them, if they encountered a doctor-patient conflict in the future and someone rushed into the clinic and wanted to attack people, what would they do?
The teacher rejected all the students' answers and said earnestly:
You have to run to places where there are the most and most expensive equipment and instruments. Once these are damaged, the hospital will definitely step in to resolve the issue.
The current situation illustrates this point.
If only the driver had died and the vehicle was not seriously damaged, the insurance company and the bus company would not have handled it so quickly. Now that they can accompany us to identify the deceased, it is a blessing in disguise.
Shaking off these thoughts, Zhou Ning stood up, his hair already soaked with sweat. He Chunyang nodded slightly at Zhou Ning.
"Mr. Zhou, the head of Sunshine Bus Company and Mr. Gao's wife are here to identify the deceased."
Zhou Ning nodded. Several leaders had some distrustful expressions on their faces, probably because they felt they were young.
"The bodies of the victims on the bus are kept in the morgue. As for whether to perform an autopsy, we will listen to the opinions of the families of the victims. After all, the cause of death is very clear: craniocerebral death caused by head trauma."
The woman shook her head vigorously and struggled to break free from the two people who were supporting her.
"We don't do autopsies, we don't!"
Zhou Ning reached out to Zhao Xinli. The bus driver's autopsy report had been done, and he handed it to He Chunyang.
"You can go and identify the body now. Behind the autopsy report, there is a request to waive the autopsy. Please sign it."
He Chunyang took the splint and looked at the two leaders of the passenger transport company.
"I wonder if you agree to give up the autopsy?"
The two looked at each other, then nodded and said:
"Just give us a copy of the autopsy report. The insurance company needs it. Our company has no objection to anything else. We respect the decision of the deceased's family."
Liu Yong came back, and He Chunyang waved his hand and asked Liu Yong to take them to the morgue for identification.
A few people left like that, and Zhou Ning sat down on the bench again. He Chunyang patted Zhou Ning's shoulder.
"You must be exhausted. I heard from Xu Da that you completed the autopsy by yourself. I have a lunch box in my car. Do you want to eat it?"
Zhou Ning waved his hands. Although he was hungry, he really couldn't eat at this moment. What he needed most was to take a shower and change out of his clothes that smelled burnt. It would be uncomfortable to eat with this smell.
"No need. I just heard from Zhao Xinli that the identity of the forklift driver has been determined."
He Chunyang smiled and handed a photo to Zhou Ning.
"We investigated at Teleflex and found four suspects. We couldn't contact any of them. Their height and weight were within the range you mentioned. You said they had broken teeth, so we confirmed that it was Wang Zhihua."
Zhou Ning took it and took a look. This was the identity information retrieved internally. This person was not from Ludong Province. He looked like an honest guy. How could such a person chase Cui Gongyi so madly? Is there any hidden story?
"What's their grudge?"
He Chunyang shook his head.
"I don't know. Everything is under investigation. Wang Zhihua is the only one working here. His wife and children are in his hometown. Before I came, Xu Da had already sent someone to contact his family. As for what happened between him and Cui Gongyi , we can only investigate at their company tomorrow."
Zhou Ning let out a breath.
"Okay, then my work has come to an end. By the way, Xu Da said he wanted to report the case, right?"
"The branch has already issued a notice. Just give a general statement. After all, this matter has a huge impact. The sooner it is dealt with, the better it will be for the city's image."
As he spoke, He Chunyang opened his phone and found a public notice picture with a large police badge on top and a message written in white letters on a blue background.

Zhou Ning returned the phone to He Chunyang. He had basically finished what he was supposed to do. Although the system didn't respond today, which made him a little worried, he was still very satisfied that he could complete the autopsy successfully.
