Chapter 43: Isn’t this Airbus’s test paper?
After throwing away the garbage, Xu Cang opened the note Yue Hai gave him and counted them quickly. There were eleven names on the note, which was quite a lot of options.
Putting the piece of paper that weighed more than a thousand pounds in his pocket, Xu Cang identified the location and headed straight to the theoretical training classroom.
The theory training classroom is usually used by new students for self-study. Occasionally, technical seminars or safety learning sessions are held here. However, today, due to the co-pilot theory test, this classroom was temporarily requisitioned by the flying standard. There were only a few people in the huge classroom, and they should be taking the test together in a while.
The theoretical examinations for all positions at the co-pilot stage share the same question bank. In other words, the difficulty of the examinations for a first-level co-pilot to a second-level co-pilot and a fifth-level co-pilot to a sixth-level co-pilot is actually the same, which is convenient for the people in charge of setting the questions.
In later times, this type of theoretical exam is basically conducted on a computer, and the results can be obtained on the spot. But in 2000, computers were not widely popularized, so paper examinations were still used.
Moreover, unlike later generations which were mostly multiple-choice questions, today's exams are still mainly short-answer questions. There is no possibility of guessing, and the difficulty is even greater.
Xu Cang entered the classroom and sat down in a corner. He glanced at the first few candidates who had arrived early and found that they were still cramming through review materials and looked very anxious.
Xu Cang was not that nervous. As long as Feibiao's group followed the exam syllabus honestly, he was confident that he would pass no matter how the questions were asked.
The only thing that worries Xu Cang is that domestic civil aviation in 2000 was still in its wild era, with all kinds of unprofessional behaviors. Who knows if Feibiao will cause him a big disaster?
Although he was confident, Xu Cang was still a little nervous as the time approached. Five minutes before the exam, many people had already come to the classroom, all of whom Xu Cang did not know . The person who had taken the exam said that today was originally an Airbus special session, and it seemed that he was right, as Xu Cang was the only Boeing student in the room.
Not long after, an employee in a white shirt came over with a stack of test papers. He first went up to the podium, looked around to make sure that no one was sitting too close to the rules, and then began to explain the test rules: "This test is a closed-book test. All cheating will be reported to the Style Committee once discovered. You should know what reporting to the Style Committee means. I won't say anything else. The test will last for one hour. Okay, pass the papers one by one."
After that, the invigilator looked at the number of people in each row, distributed the counted papers to the people in the front row, and then passed them one by one to the back. Xu Cang sat at the back of the classroom, just in time to be the last one.
When passing the papers, Xu Cang was a little confused. Didn't the invigilator ask which ones were from Airbus and which ones were from Boeing? The same model of aircraft had a shared question bank for different technical levels, but that didn't mean Boeing and Airbus could share the same question bank.
However, Xu Cang did not dwell on it too much, thinking that no matter how outrageous the flying mark was, this little thing should be manageable. It was probably because when the papers were distributed, the invigilator had already calculated the position and placed Boeing's paper in it.
After handing out the papers, the invigilator walked leisurely to the back, and finally moved a stool not far behind Xu Cang and sat down.
After Xu Cang got the test paper, he wrote his name first. Then he did not start working on it in a hurry. Instead, he glanced at the test paper out of habit.
As Xu Cang expected, most of the test paper was occupied by short-answer questions, and selection, judgment and fill-in-the-blank questions only occupied a very small part. In a very short time, Xu Cang quickly looked through the short-answer questions.
"Wind shear maneuver... it's a routine question."
Xu Cang secretly breathed a sigh of relief. This flying dart was relatively solid and didn't cause any messy trouble.
Looking down again, Xu Cang suddenly let out a sigh, a trace of confusion on his face. He gently read out the title of the next question: "When the airspeed is unreliable, if two ADR outputs are wrong but inconsistent, and the other ADR is correct, or if all three are wrong but inconsistent, what fault manifestation will occur?"
Xu Cang was dumbfounded when he saw this question. How did this ADR, which seemed to be the "Air Data Reference" in Airbus, end up on his test paper?
Next, look down and see what the three color-coded areas of BUSS mean.
"BUSS? Backup speed scale? " Xu Cang didn't like Airbus aircraft very much, so even though he had the qualifications for Airbus mainstream models in the future, he didn't put much effort into it. But even so, Xu Cang still knew the word BUSS, but it shouldn't have anything to do with Boeing, right?
A very bad thought slowly arose in Xu Cang's mind.
"Did they send me the wrong paper?"
Xu Cang was speechless for a moment, then looked at the next question...the reset procedure for flight control ELAC failure.
Seeing this, Xu Cang was completely sure that he had overestimated the IQ of those people who were flying the dartboard. At first, he thought that even the most outrageous guy would not make mistakes in handing out the papers, right?
But the cruel reality is whipping Xu Cang's thoughts, it is really so outrageous.
Xu Cang rubbed his nose, turned around carefully, and saw the invigilator who seemed to be dozing off at the back of the classroom. After hesitating for a moment, Xu Cang controlled his voice and called out to the invigilator: "Hello, I have a question here."
The invigilator might have already met Zhou Gong, and Xu Cang's voice did not bring him back to reality at all.
Helpless, Xu Cang had to raise his voice and yell again. This time, the invigilator suddenly woke up, shuddered violently, and looked around the classroom several times in a daze, and finally locked his eyes on Xu Cang who was not far away and looked apologetic.
Licking his dry lips, the invigilator was a little impatient. He didn't even stand up, but frowned and asked angrily , "What's wrong?"
Xu Cang quickly picked up the test paper and politely explained: "I'm sorry, I'm from Boeing, and this test paper looks like it's from Airbus."
"Huh?" The invigilator was puzzled: "When they gave me the test paper, they didn't say anything about Airbus or Boeing. Did you read it wrong?"
When Xu Cang heard this, he knew that this invigilator was just a tool for distributing papers.
"It shouldn't be a mistake." Xu Cang was still polite: "If it's convenient, please help me change the test paper."
"How can you change the test paper? Could it be that you don't know how to do it?" The invigilator narrowed his eyes and looked Xu Cang up and down, as if he was looking at a mouse like a cat.
