Chapter 41: Too much trouble
"Brother, do you have some misunderstandings? Like you're being targeted?" The dispatcher said irritably, "More than one-third of our company's flights have been cut. Ask anyone you want, whether it's the co-pilot, the captain, or the instructor, even the flight department leaders are complaining about the lack of flights. You're not the only one. You want to have more flights just because of your words. What are you dreaming about?"
I don't know why, but the dispatcher sounded like he had eaten gunpowder, and two out of three sentences were insulting.
Xu Cang was right. The dispatcher had been very angry recently. There were many people like Xu Cang who complained about the lack of flights . After all, the salary of pilots was directly linked to the number of flight hours. If the flight hours were not increased, how could they make money?
If it was just a complaint from an ordinary pilot, the dispatcher would just ignore it, but now the number of flights has been cut so much that even the leaders of the flight department have been affected. The complaints from the leaders are not the same as the complaints from the employees, which makes it very difficult for the dispatcher to do his job, as if he has an uncle.
"I'm sorry, I do have some things that require me to accumulate 170 hours of experience in the last two months..." No matter how impolite the dispatcher was, Xu Cang had to endure it now as he needed help.
"You're the only one with a problem, but everyone else has no water?" The dispatcher's voice was getting louder and louder: "Oh, why is there no water again? Is the company so stingy that it even controls bottled water? It's so annoying!"
Xu Cang knew that the second half of the dispatcher's words were not directed at him, but he could only listen to the dispatcher's scolding patiently before asking cautiously: "Excuse me, who should I report this kind of application for additional flights to? Is there a channel?"
"What channels are there? We are all the same, what else do you want?" The dispatcher's patience was clearly worn out: "Brother, I advise you not to mention this to the company for the time being, or you will be considered ungrateful."
After saying that, the dispatcher rudely hung up the phone.
"It seems like it's really hard to solve this problem." Xu Cang's mind was in a mess, and he couldn't find any clues to solve the problem. From a practical point of view, he would rather be targeted by the company, so that he could still appeal. In this situation where the whole company was in a state of depression, even if there was a way to make things easier, it would be left to the leaders, not him.
Judging from the dispatcher's tone, the leaders are now full of resentment. Is there really no way out now?
Xu Cang threw his head on the pillow, took another pillow and covered his head with it, and let out a dull cry: "What should I do?"
The next morning, in the Blue Sky Airlines Dispatch Planning Room.
Dispatcher Yue Hai yawned as he clocked in on the first floor of the company, scratched his head and took the elevator all the way up to the seventh floor. Last night, the northern and southeastern regions of the country were covered by large thunderstorms, more than 20 flights were diverted, and more than 30 flights were canceled. As a dispatcher, Yue Hai worked hard at his post until after five in the morning last night. He went to the dormitory to take a nap for three hours, and then hurried back to work. Yue Hai felt that he was floating when he walked. If this happened a few more times, he might die suddenly at any time.
Not sure if it was because of lack of sleep that caused his blood pressure to rise, but Yue Hai always felt a surge of hot blood rushing to his head, making his eyeballs swollen and uncomfortable.
With half-closed eyes , Yue Hai dozed off while walking, and almost relied on instinct to find his office. According to the current time, there should be no one in the office, and the peak of the morning departure has passed, so there should be nothing to do, maybe he can take a nap for a while.
After yawning several times in a row, Yue Hai was just about to open the door, but it opened when he pushed it with his hand.
"Huh? Did you leave the door open last night?" Yue Hai scratched his head, unable to remember whether he had closed the door when he left home at around five in the morning. However, he didn't really care and just pushed the door open and went in.
As soon as he entered the office, Yue Hai felt that the office was quiet and he was quite satisfied with this environment. He tightened his clothes, found his office seat and sat down, put his hands in his pockets, hunched his head, and planned to close his eyes and rest.
However, just when Yue Hai was about to drift off into the heavens, he suddenly heard some rustling noises, and then someone suddenly asked, "Have you had breakfast?"
Yue Hai, who was in a semi-dizzy state, almost jumped up as if in response to the stress, and looked at the figure that appeared beside him with horror. When he saw the person clearly, he found that it was a young man in a pilot's uniform, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
"How did you get in and what are you doing here?" Although pilots often contact dispatchers, few pilots go directly to the office.
"When I called yesterday, I seemed to hear you saying that there wasn't enough bottled water in the office. I've made an agreement with the water station near the company, and they will deliver three barrels of water every day. That should be enough, right?" The person who came was Xu Cang. He pointed in the direction of the water dispenser and said, "I've just replaced it with a barrel."
Yue Hai had just woken up and his mind was still a little confused. After thinking for a long time, he finally remembered who Xu Cang was: "Are you the pilot who called yesterday to ask about the flight?"
"Yes, I was a little rude yesterday." Xu Cang apologized, "By the way, have you had breakfast? I got an extra portion of rice when I came to the cafeteria."
As he spoke, Xu Cang placed the breakfast on Yue Hai's desk.
“You…” Yue Hai rubbed his chin helplessly. He was a little confused about the current situation: “You make me feel a little embarrassed. I said something a little harsh yesterday. Don’t mind it.”
"It's okay, it's okay, I was just being abrupt." Xu Cang had a bright smile on his face all the time: "I heard that many flights had to make emergency landings last night. You can have a rest after breakfast, and I'll take care of some chores."
Most flight trainees have to take administrative classes for a period of time after joining the company, so they still understand some basic affairs.
"No, you don't have to be so polite." Xu Cang's behavior made Yue Hai feel more and more embarrassed, but before he could finish his words, a head popped in from outside the door. It seemed to be a female colleague from Feidiao next door.
The female colleague found Yue Hai's position and waved at him: "Brother Hai, if it's convenient for you, can you come over and help carry it down to the water? We can't move it."
Just as Yue Hai was about to stand up, Xu Cang pressed Yue Hai's shoulders and said to the female colleague who was flying the banner: "Where are you moving? I'll be there ."
"Ah?" The female colleague looked at the uniform on Xu Cang and was surprised for a moment, but she didn't investigate further and pointed in a direction to Xu Cang: "It's over there in the warehouse."
"Okay!" Xu Cang brought out another big bag with several breakfasts in it: "Brother Hai, these are for the other dispatchers. In case I'm too busy to come back later, please help distribute them."
After saying that, Xu Cang trotted along with his female colleague to help carry water.
Looking at Xu Cang's disappearing figure, Yue Hai sat in his seat in a daze, and it took him a long time to recover. After a while, Yue Hai smiled helplessly and said, "What a good kid."
