Chapter 4: There is a Silent Sea in Your Heart 04
After waiting for the bus for a long time and walking for a while after arriving at the station, Su Xiaobei and I finally arrived at the villa area where Ju Chenxi's home was located. At this time, the sunset had already fallen below the mountain, and scattered stars hung in the sky, making this night particularly quiet.
The colorful neon lights at the entrance of the villa are particularly dazzling on a night like this.
Su Xiaobei walked me all the way to the neon lights before turning around and leaving.
"Who was the one who sent you back?" Ju Chenxi's low voice rang out in the dark corridor of the room, and my heart almost jumped out of my chest because of him.
"Oh my God, I got scared. Hey! Why don't you turn on the light?" As I spoke, I immediately groped for the switch button in the dark.
The room suddenly became bright, and I saw Ju Chenxi wearing a white bathrobe, his hands folded on his chest, leaning against the door of his room, staring at me intently.
"I'm not as afraid of the dark as you." Ju Chenxi said disapprovingly.
"What are you doing here? Are you spying on me?" I had a great time this afternoon and temporarily forgot about Ju Chenxi and Han Shengya being alone at home. Now that I saw him in person, I suddenly remembered it , "Han Shengya went home?"
Ju Chenxi pointed at the sky outside and said, "Don't you see what time it is? Do you think everyone is like you and doesn't know how to go home after going out?"
My face turned red immediately. Ju Chenxi: Is this because I came home late and you are worried about me?
"Oh, it's not too late now!" I muttered quietly.
"You haven't eaten yet. The kitchen has left some food for you." Ju Chenxi said a little awkwardly.
"Ah, really?" I touched my hungry stomach and ran into the kitchen. "Wow, Ju Chenxi, did you make all this? Steamed sea bass, tomato beef, they are all my favorites!"
I asked loudly in surprise, taking out the meal that had been kept warm in the rice cooker.
However, just as I was about to start eating, a question suddenly occurred to me, and I asked unhappily, "Did you and Han Shengya make this together?"
"Of course not. If I cooked it with her, how could the dishes remain untouched?" Ju Chenxi came over and tapped my forehead, then motioned for me to get another set of bowls and chopsticks. "She asked two questions and then went back. She didn't stay long."
What? Han Shengya went back after staying for a short time?
"So, did you make all this by yourself?" I quickly ran to the kitchen and got another set of bowls and chopsticks. "Are you waiting for me to eat?"
"What do you think? If you don't come back, I'll starve to death!" Ju Chenxi said, and picked up the chopsticks to eat, not forgetting to pick up the best piece of fish and a big piece of beef for me.
I picked it up and put it in my mouth.
"Wow, it's delicious! Ju Chenxi, I didn't expect your cooking skills are so good. Aunt Liu didn't lie to me." At this moment, I would be lying if I said I wasn't touched.
In this home where only Ju Chenxi is present, I seem to feel the long-lost family warmth.
In the past, my parents often quarreled, and it was rare for the family to have a good meal together. After my parents divorced, my mother was busy with work and rarely took care of me. It has been a long time since I felt the warmth of having someone at home prepare meals and waiting for us to eat together.
"Ju Chenxi, thank you!" I thanked Ju Chenxi from the bottom of my heart, and tears flowed at this time.
"Hey, don't cry. I'm afraid of you girls crying in front of me." Ju Chenxi seemed to be surprised that I would burst into tears out of nowhere.
"It's okay, I'm just a little touched." I wiped my tears and continued to enjoy the dinner that Ju Chenxi carefully prepared.
"I don't want to hear thanks. Just tell me who sent you back!" Ju Chenxi asked casually while picking up some food.
"My classmate Su Xiaobei, what's wrong?" I was a little surprised why he was so concerned about this issue.
What does it have to do with him who sends me back?
"Oh, it's okay. I'm full, you are responsible for washing the dishes." After saying that, Ju Chenxi put down his chopsticks, got up and went back to his room.
"Uh, didn't you say you were hungry a long time ago? Why have you only eaten a few bites?" I looked at his back in confusion and muttered.
Why is Ju Chenxi's mind as hard to guess as a woman's!
However, the dishes tonight are really delicious, I want to eat them all by myself!
After dinner, I cleaned the kitchen while humming a song. After everything was clean, I took my clothes and took a shower.
When I was taking off my clothes, I looked at the knee that Ju Chenxi had bandaged for me during the day, and recalled the warmth that Ju Chenxi had brought me during dinner just now, and my mood unconsciously became cheerful.
After washing up, I lay on the bed, but I couldn't fall asleep.
Thinking back on what I experienced that day, it was like riding a roller coaster, with sadness, sorrow, happiness, and touching moments. I suddenly wanted to record this special day, so I got up from the bed, took out my diary, and wrote it down word by word.
When I wrote down Ju Chenxi's name for the first time, my heart twitched slightly as if I had received an electric shock. I pulled the corners of my mouth and smiled happily.
After closing the diary, I took out the toy four-string guitar and stroked it gently. Since I regarded it as a lucky charm, good luck seemed to have really come to me.
At first I thought Ju Chenxi was a cold and arrogant person, unkind, only knew how to reject others, and never cared about other people's feelings. However, after getting to know him, I found that Ju Chenxi was really a person who was cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
He would lend a helping hand in time when I was in trouble; he would carefully prepare gifts and apologize when I was angry; he would carefully treat my wounds when I was injured; he would prepare dinner for me when I came home late...
Such a Ju Chenxi is really a very warm person.
Just like the little boy who gave me the four-string guitar, we didn’t talk much when we sat together, but I always felt at ease with his company .
I wonder if that little boy will become someone like Ju Chenxi when he grows up?
