Chapter 4: Su Jingjing, this time I will protect you 05

The three classes of the Department of Finance had a large class together. More than a hundred people sat in the lecture hall, which was almost overcrowded. Su Jingjing and Amy sat in the front row waiting for the class. Su Jingjing kept looking at her phone, looking absent-minded.
"Why didn't Gu Rong come?" Amy leaned over and asked.
Su Jingjing shook her phone and pursed her lips: "He said he won't come to class today."
"Why are you so willful?" Amy sighed.
At this moment, a thin and tall figure walked down step by step from behind. Because of his striking appearance, almost everyone's eyes followed his movement.
"Here." Han Ran gently placed the gift box in front of Su Jingjing.
Su Jingjing then raised her head and looked at Han Ran, who was standing beside her with a smile on his face, and asked in confusion, "Why did you give me a gift?"
"I told you, I like you."
"But I rejected you." Su Jingjing said with a frown.
Han Ran didn't care: "But I didn't accept it."
"I can't accept this gift." Su Jingjing stuffed the box into Han Ran's hands, completely ignoring how many eyes around her wanted to kill her.
" Why?"
"Too expensive."

Han Ran's star-like eyes suddenly lit up, and he asked back, "Then if I give you a gift that's not too expensive, will you accept it?"
"I do not……"
Before Su Jingjing could finish her words, Han Ran walked away on his own, leaving Su Jingjing alone and puzzled.
At the same time, Amy beside her was not idle either. She secretly sent a text message with her mobile phone. With a smile on her face, she said to Su Jingjing, "Wait, Gu Rong will be here soon."
"how do you know?"
"Just wait and see," Amy vowed.
Sure enough, as soon as the first class was over, Gu Rong hurriedly walked into the classroom. Su Jingjing saw Gu Rong and waved to him, but Gu Rong ignored her and walked to the back of the classroom. Su Jingjing had no choice but to look back in the direction he left and found that Gu Rong had actually walked to Han Ran's side.
"I heard that you gave Su Jingjing a gift?" Because he came in such a hurry, Gu Rong was still slightly out of breath.
Han Ran fiddled with the pen and said with a half-smile: "You are well-informed!"
"What do you want?"
The students around them once again focused their attention on the two of them.
"What do you care about me?" Han Ran replied provocatively.
Gu Rong laughed in anger: "Do you believe that as long as I am here, you, Han Ran, will never be able to catch up with Su Jingjing in this life?"
"Just you?" Han Ran looked at Gu Rong, the contempt in his eyes clearly showing his disbelief.
Gu Rong was not angry this time. He just said leisurely and softly before walking back to the front row: "Just wait and see."
Later, Gu Rong really proved what he said with his own actions.
In the cafeteria, Su Jingjing, Amy and Gu Rong sat together to eat lunch. They finally found a seat and just sat down when Han Ran came to their side as if he had installed a positioning tracker on them.
"I bought this for you." Han Ran thoughtfully placed the beautifully decorated lunch box in front of Su Jingjing, "This is not expensive, you can rest assured."
Su Jingjing was wondering when the lunch box in front of her was suddenly moved. When she looked up again, she found that Gu Rong had already started eating with relish.
"Gu Rong!" Han Ran, who was the first to come to his senses, shouted loudly, wishing he could fight Gu Rong to the death.
Gu Rong was holding a chicken leg in one hand and eating rice with the other. When he heard Han Ran calling him, he looked up in confusion and gave him a dull look. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"I bought this for Jingjing."
Gu Rong suddenly revealed an innocent expression, and said to Su Jingjing pitifully: "I 'm really too hungry. I haven't eaten much since last night..."
"But you can't eat what I bought!"
Seeing this, Su Jingjing obviously wanted to favor Gu Rong. She took out her wallet and said, "I'm sorry, the lunch box has been eaten by Gu Rong. I can't give it back to you. How much is the lunch box? I'll give you the money back."
"No need." Han Ran calmed himself down, knowing that Gu Rong was deliberately trying to piss him off, so he could only grit his teeth and say that he didn't mind.
Gu Rong also pulled Su Jingjing and said, "Giving money to Mr. Han is no different from slapping him in the face. Does he need this little money from you?" Then he turned his gaze to Han Ran and said proudly, "Right, Mr. Han."
"Yes." Han Ran was speaking when a boy wearing black-rimmed glasses suddenly ran to Han Ran with a big bouquet of roses and handed the flowers to Han Ran.

Gu Rong wiped his mouth and sighed, "I didn't expect that Young Master Han has developed to the point where he is popular with both men and women. Congratulations!"
Han Ran looked at Gu Rong expressionlessly, then held the roses in front of Su Jingjing and said affectionately: "You didn't accept my gift because you thought it was too expensive. But this just proves that you are a good girl who is unconventional and sincere. I will keep pursuing you until the day I impress you. This bouquet of flowers just represents my feelings. You don't have to answer me for this, I just hope you don't refuse it."
Su Jingjing stared blankly at a large bouquet of carefully wrapped roses. The fresh colors looked particularly charming in this gloomy season between autumn and winter.
"Hey, thank you so much!" Gu Rong stretched out his hand and pulled out a rose, yanked the flower off fiercely, and used the flower branch to pick his teeth. "Your lunch box is good in every way, but the meat is too tough. I was just worried about having nothing to pick my teeth with, and you sent me this rose, which is just right."
"Gu Rong!" Han Ran's eyes flashed with flames.
Gu Rong quickly made a stop gesture and said solemnly: "Aren't you going to pursue Jingjing? Based on my relationship with Jingjing, I belong to her family, you know? You have to please me."
Han Ran ignored Gu Rong and turned to Su Jingjing and said, "Let's find a place where there are no strangers around to talk later."
"Who are the outsiders? How rude." Gu Rong yelled at Han Ran's back.
Amy, who was sitting next to her, laughed softly, but when she turned her gaze to Han Ran, her expression became serious, because she saw Han Ran clenching his fists not far away, and the chill emanating from his body seemed to be able to freeze everything.
Han Ran was walking . The flowerbeds, which were once full of fragrance, were now in a state of decay. The lush green grass was now only swaying in the wind with its yellow waist, and it looked like it could fall apart and disappear at any time.
"Han Ran."
Han Ran heard someone calling him, and when he turned around, he found that it was Su Jingjing's friend, the red-haired Amy.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" His voice was so cold that it seemed as if he didn't care about anyone.
Amy walked closer to him, the sunlight in the distance made her red hair shine particularly vividly, and she said, "I don't know what you want to do, but I want to remind you not to do anything to hurt Su Jingjing and Gu Rong."
Han Ran looked at Amy and couldn't help but sneer: "Why do you think I would hurt Su Jingjing?"
"What about Gu Rong?" Amy looked at Han Ran seriously, without any fear, "Do you promise that you won't hurt him?"
Han Ran lowered his head slightly, his eyes cold and arrogant: "Even if he doesn't come to provoke me, I won't let him go."
"You should be able to see that Su Jingjing and Gu Rong like each other, right? You are standing between them, doing these thankless tasks. Do you think it makes sense?"
Han Ran snorted coldly: "I never need meaning when doing things."
"So you just want to make things difficult for them?" Amy asked again.
"Yes." Han Ran said bluntly, "I won't let Gu Rong go."
"You said it, don't regret it." Amy's eyes gradually turned cold, similar to when Su Jingjing was angry. After she finished speaking, she suddenly attacked, using the grappling technique that her second senior brother Bai Hai had recently taught her on Han Ran. After turning Han Ran 180 degrees, she quietly exerted force with her hands.
"Ah!" Han Ran screamed.
Amy stood behind Han Ran and warned, "Today's is just a small punishment. If you really do something, I promise you, you will be a hundred times worse off than you are now." After saying that, she let go of Han Ran and turned to leave.
Han Ran rubbed his sore, swollen and numb left hand, and his eyes became colder.
