Chapter 39 Antique Street
After eating hotpot with Jin Yun, Lin Mu and Jin Yun were about to leave.
"Shall I take you there?" Lin Mu looked at Jin Yun, car keys already in his hand.
Jin Yunyao nodded: "I want to take a walk. My driver is actually nearby. I'll walk back slowly."
Maybe she was in a bad mood, and she didn't talk as much during the meal as before.
I frowned. It is always a little dangerous for a girl to walk at night.
Lin Mu was going home, as he had to open the store tomorrow morning, so he probably couldn't take Jin Yun far.
"Let me walk with you, and take the garbage out of the house."
I volunteered to take the garbage and go out with Jinyun.
The weather was a bit cold, but after eating hotpot and drinking some wine, the wind made us feel a little more sober.
“Actually, I think you’re a nice person.”
After walking for a while, Jin Yun suddenly turned his head and looked at me.
I looked at her a little confused. I also thought I was a good person, but what happened?
"Stupid."
She smiled and walked quickly into the night.
Seeing her like a little kid, I suddenly felt a lot more relaxed, as if all my worries disappeared as she skipped forward.
I looked at the moon in the sky, and my mood didn't seem so heavy anymore.
I took out the small gourd that Dong Jing gave me out of habit, and took out a pill from it and put it in my mouth.
My heart, which had been beating so fast, suddenly calmed down.
I left only after I safely delivered Jin Yun to the driver, Uncle Wu.
When I got home, I told my cousin about my conversation with Jin Yun in the afternoon.
"In that case, let's go to the flea market tomorrow." My cousin sighed and went back to his room.
The flea market is also called the Tianguang Market. As the name suggests, we have to arrive before dawn. As soon as the sky gets light, people start setting up stalls.
I slept until midnight and my cousin took me to set off.
The flea market sold more things than I had imagined, all kinds of antiques and jade, as well as some things I had never seen before, all laid out in front of me.
This dazzling array of goods suddenly made me want to shop.
But I know that the main purpose of coming here is to find the Resurrection Pearl.
So I shook my head, tried to sober myself up a little, and continued walking towards the inside of the flea market.
Jin Yun told me that the items sold outside the flea market are generally cheaper, in order to attract old men and women who get up early to come shop.
But these things are generally fake, they just look good.
If you really want to find antiques or good jade, you have to go inside.
"Xiao Jie, do you think it's that?"
I looked in the direction my cousin pointed, and indeed there was a large plaque with the words "Antiques and Jade" written on it.
If you want to know whether there are any good things, you can only look here .
I quickened my pace and walked into a corridor.
There are countless shops on both sides of the corridor, selling antiques and jade.
"Brother, come and have a look. Our goods are genuine and we have a lot of good stuff."
A dark-skinned young man waved his hand to me. I looked at my cousin and walked to his stall.
"What are you looking for? I have whatever you can name it." The young man looked at me and smiled.
I was about to talk to the boy when my cousin pulled me under the table. Then he stepped forward and said to the boy, "I want to find a spiritual bead that is black on the outside but turns green under the sunlight."
The young man was stunned for a moment: "You are looking for spiritual beads? I have quite a few , but because I haven't seen the sun for a long time, I don't know if they will turn green under the sun."
As the young man spoke, he took out a plate from the store.
The plate was filled with beads of various colors, big and small, mostly black. It would take some time to find the resurrection bead among them.
"There seem to be thousands of them. Do you have any better ones?" My cousin frowned and looked at the beads.
The young man was immediately in a dilemma: "It's not that there isn't any, but the price is..."
"The price is negotiable. Show us. As long as it's what we want, the price is negotiable."
The cousin waved his hand and interrupted the young man.
The young man looked at me, then at my cousin, and took out a crystal clear black bead from his arms.
This bead is different from the one on the plate. It looks spiritual. In the young man's hand, it glows with a different luster.
"Can you let me see it?" I stretched out my hand and asked the young man.
The young man shook his head and said, "This thing is not mine. I bought it for someone else. You are absolutely not allowed to touch it. I am the only one who can hold it for you to look at."
Of course I understood what he was thinking. After all, he was inside the stall. If we took the things and left, he would never be able to catch up with us.
"Okay, then you take it. Let's shine a light on it. If it glows green, we'll take it. How much do you want for it?"
As my cousin spoke, he took out a high-powered flashlight from his arms.
We originally used that thing when sweeping the house, but its actual use was to view antiques and jade artifacts.
The black bead was crystal clear, and when it was illuminated by a strong flashlight, it was indeed glowing green.
My cousin and I looked at each other. We didn't know whether this thing was the soul-returning bead, but at least it met our requirements.
"I just got this thing in the early morning. I don't know how much it costs yet. You guys can take a look at it first to see if it's suitable. I'll discuss it with the boss there later."
The young man wanted us to make an offer first, but my cousin and I are both laymen, and if we were to start a fight, we really wouldn’t know where to begin.
"How about this, you give us the boss's phone number. Once we have discussed it, I will come back and give you the reward. Do you think this is okay?"
It was obvious that I wasn't thinking when I said this.
After all, if we had agreed on it, the person ran away, and the guy didn't get any money, no normal person would just give us the boss's phone number.
"That's definitely not possible..." Just as I thought , the young man rejected us immediately.
But his uncle waved his hand and said, "Business is all about credibility. If you can trust us, we can discuss the deal. If not, we can go inside. There are many places selling this kind of beads. We don't need yours."
My cousin said this and pulled me away.
The guy behind us called us to stop, but just as he was about to speak, someone walked towards us.
"Are you Mr. Wenzhou Wen?"
