Chapter 37: First Order (Part 1)
Liang Xi nodded, feeling amused. Pretending to be mentally ill had become Bobby's profession. Liang Xi believed that what Bobby said was true, but Liang Xi didn't want to know why Bobby pretended to be mentally ill. Liang Xi left the ward and went to the nurse's station, saying, "Hello, I'm going to check in." It was so convenient to check in as a VIP.
The police nurse looked at Bobby and asked, "Does the attending doctor agree?"
Liang Xi said: "No, it's OK as long as the patient agrees."
The police nurse encountered this situation for the first time, so she went to ask the young nurse nearby. The young nurse came over and asked: "Hello, did the patient ask to be discharged?"
"Yes."
The young nurse said, "I'm sorry, I have to contact the patient's immediate family first."
Liang Xi: "Of course...Hi."
"Hi!" Karin was a little surprised to see Liang Xi, but more so she was alert. Liang Xi showed up at Maria Hospital yesterday in a nurse's uniform, and today he showed up again on the third floor of Maria Hospital. What did he want to do?
Liang Xi explained : "My friend is sick, so I came to visit him."
Karin nodded and asked with concern, "Did you do okay yesterday?"
Liang Xi replied with a smile: "It's okay." This woman is not only beautiful but also gentle, and he was attracted to her again.
Karin handed the documents in her hand to the nurse and said, "Dolly's daughter's surgery went smoothly."
Liang Xi said happily: "This is good news."
Karin asked: "You helped her father, but you don't care about the results of the operation?" Liang Xi's performance showed that he had no idea about the operation.
Liang Xi replied: "I wanted to help a desperate father, not a sick little girl."
Karin replied perfunctorily: "Good old man."
Liang Xi smiled foolishly: "Haha."
The police nurse came over, glanced at Karin, and said, "We've already called and need the patient to sign in person."
Liang Xi gestured, "You are welcome." The police nurse took the documents and walked towards Bobby's ward. Liang Xi watched the police nurse enter the ward quietly. Karin asked from the side, "Do you like mature women?"
Liang Xi's desire to show off in front of the beauty rose again. He moved closer to Karin and whispered, "She is a police officer."
Karin didn't believe it at all and said with a smile: "How is that possible?"
"Just a random guess. I'm sending my friend out of the hospital. Go ahead." Liang Xi was touched by her smile. Liang Xi thought he might like Karin, but he didn't have the capital to pursue her. What should he do? Everyone likes Porsche, but if you can't afford it, it's best not to think too much.
Karin nodded, watched Liang Xi enter the ward, turned around and left, took out her cell phone and called Mark: "Your subordinate's identity has been discovered."
Mark asked nervously, "Who?"
Karin: "Liang Xi."
Mark: “His name has appeared in front of me quite frequently recently.”
Karin: "Yesterday he showed up at the hospital in a nurse's uniform, and today he showed up at the hospital as Bobby Clement's friend. John is a good man, but he's not necessarily a good person."
Mark: “Sounds like he’s threatening Dune.”
Karin: "I'll take care of it."
Mark: "I'll send you a support team."
"Support team?" Karin asked. "Are you kidding? Just a civilian."
Mark: “A detective.”
Karin said disdainfully: "Detective? Haha, in my opinion he is just a little devil. Wait for my news."
…
After watching Bobby leave in a car escorted by twelve bodyguards, Liang Xi got in his Beetle and slowly drove back to the detective agency. To Liang Xi's surprise, a little girl about eight years old was sitting at the door of the detective agency. The little girl looked very sweet, with two missing front teeth, a ponytail, holding Winnie the Pooh in one hand and supporting her chin with the other, looking very unhappy.
"Hi!" Liang Xi greeted.
"Hi, are you a detective?" the little girl asked. "I searched around and only found one detective agency."
"Yes." Liang Xi opened the door and asked, "Would you like to come in and chat?"
"Of course." The little girl entered the detective agency and looked around curiously.
Liang Xi opened the refrigerator and took out two bottles of water. He handed one to the little girl, who asked, "Do you have Coke?"
Liang Xi put the water back in the refrigerator and took out a can of Coke. The little girl looked at Liang Xi and gestured. Liang Xi had no choice but to put his own water on the table, help open the pull ring, and hand the Coke to the little girl: "What's your name?"
"Wendy." The little girl sat down and saw the painting of John hanging on the wall: "Who is he?"
Liang Xi: "I don't know. I bought it at a flea market for two pounds. Do you want me to call your parents?"
"No need." Wendy replied.
Liang Xi asked: "What do you want to talk to me about?"
Wendy looked at Liang Xi: "I'm thinking about it."
Liang Xi: "I need to make a phone call."
Wendy put down her Coke: "Detective."
Liang Xi: "Liang Xi."
Wendy: "Liang Xi! My cousin is missing, and I want you to find her."
Liang Xi asked: "Didn't your cousin's family call the police?"
Wendy replied: "They don't believe she's missing. You know, it's not the first time. She met a boy on the Internet, then disappeared for a few days and suddenly appeared again. A few days ago she met another boy."
Liang Xi asked: "How do you know she knows another boy?"
Wendy: "My parents and his parents said that. You know, when you are young, you are often ignored and people will say anything."
Liang Xi asked, "How old is your cousin?"
Wendy replied: "19, or 20. God knows."
Liang Xi said patiently, "Listen Wendy, after you turn 18, you are no longer missing, you are living. You will understand when you grow up. Can you tell me your parents' phone number now?"
Wendy: "She must be missing, you don't understand, tomorrow is my birthday."
Liang Xi: "Happy birthday."
Wendy: "No, she promised to take me to the amusement park on my birthday."
Liang Xi: "It's five o'clock in the afternoon. Maybe you can go home and have a good sleep now. You will have a surprise when you wake up tomorrow."
Wendy asked back, " Are you a detective?"
Liang Xi: “Yes, I am.”
Wendy: "Why don't you want to believe me?"
Liang Xi thought for a while and asked, "Just because of the playground? How about this, tell me your parents' phone number and I promise they will take you to the playground tomorrow."
"No way, they're busy." Wendy pried open her lower lip. "They even postponed the dentist's appointment, although I'm glad they did that."
Liang Xi: "Wendy, I'm afraid I can't help you."
Wendy: "Why, aren't you a detective?"
Liang Xi: "A detective is not God."
Wendy put Winnie the Pooh aside, pulled up her sleeves, and pressed the phone watch on her wrist: "I took a picture of the boy."
Liang Xi asked: "Can you take off your watch and show it to me?"
Wendy asked warily, "Will you contact my parents?"
Liang Xi said patiently, "Wendy, your cousin is not missing because she is missing. It is because you are here that you are missing. I must contact your parents."
Wendy: "I see, you're a bad detective."
Liang Xi looked at Wendy's big eyes and said helplessly: "Okay, I'll take a look at that boy first."
