Chapter 366 Ending Remarks

I had been planning to wait until I wrote some stories about Chu Zihan and finished that extra chapter before adding the postscript, but after thinking about it I realized there are a lot of things I want to say sooner, so I'll just put it here.
Ming Fei is my fourth book, the one with the best performance and the only fan fiction. It has been exactly three years since I started writing during the epidemic. I have indeed learned a lot and made many friends in these three years.

At the beginning, this book was indeed just a spur-of-the-moment pleasure. It came from a post I saw on Zhihu, which asked how the story would develop if Lu Mingfei in Dragon Clan was a girl.

The author simply wrote a story about a cute girl, and many people liked it, including me. So I left a message saying that this was very interesting and I wanted to write it into a long novel. That’s how Lu Mingfei came about.

At that time, I was still serializing the book "The Dragon Slayer Becomes the Silver-haired Dragon Girl", so Mingfei just wrote casually for 2,000 yuan a day. If she was interested, she would write, and if she was not interested, she would forget about it.

It was not until the end of Dragon Girl that I looked through the background of Qidian and found that so many people liked this girl, so I decided to come and finish it. The idea of concluding the parallel world was also decided at that time. This is why the update time was very unstable in the early stage and the intervals were so long.

Of course, the rest of the process was followed to recommend the book for publication. The more people read it, the more monsters and demons there were. Some attacked as soon as they came in, and some turned to female characters as soon as they closed their eyes. The funniest time was when a moron from the Transformation Lily bar posted this book on their site, saying that my introduction was fraudulent.

I was thinking that I had written 4 books and never wrote the genre in the introduction. The first chapter always had two protagonists. The male protagonist Chu Zihang was shown on the character card. Can you blame me for this? I used to be a lesbian writer, but this time I wrote about the relationships with the girls in the introduction and none of them had lovers?
After a big fight with the idiots in that forum, the forum owner even jokingly stood on his own side, not caring that the idiots in their forum were short-sighted. He banned me directly. In addition, I also uninstalled the forum once because of the previous incident with my old book.

I don't have a good temper, but I'm too lazy to argue with these people every day, so any attacks, including those on the female channel, will be permanently banned.

Gender-swapped protagonists, feminized protagonists, these are entertainment stories that have existed since the early 2000s, including Moe Girls Three Kingdoms, Koihime Warriors, and even Code Geass, which is about zombies. They all have similar plots, and those who don't quite understand or have no experience will just talk about it.

Now let’s talk about the book and the dragons themselves.

I once saw a definition of writing that said authors can basically be divided into two types: garden-type authors and architectural-type authors.

The characteristic of the garden-type author is that they have a clear outline for their writing, and will prune a story after it is written to achieve the best expression and information transmission. Many classical masters in the novel world are of this type, but this type is relatively rare in online literature. Squid may be one of them. Although I haven't read it, it seems that there are some problems with his news and reputation recently.

An architectural author is like someone who builds a building layer by layer with bricks. If his thinking is smooth, then this layer may very well be a Roman palace. If his thinking is not smooth, the next layer will become a minimalist style of red bricks and cement. If it is even worse, the house may be bare, and the final result will be a weird house structure.

I am the latter, and Jiangnan is also the latter.

In fact, most people already know about the book Dragon Tribe. Jiang Nan himself does not have a complete story chain and outline. Otherwise, as a mature writer, it would not have been dragged on for so many years without an ending. The new Dragon King reboot directly overturned what he had written about Dragon 4 and Dragon 5, exposing this problem. He even created endless conflicts and contradictions for himself, and added new settings to overturn the past.

So I never had any expectations for Dragon Tribe, nor did I think that this series would have an ending. The ending of Dragon Tribe will be what your version of Hamlet is like. It is for this reason that Mingfei is set up as one of the possibilities of countless parallel worlds.

In the beginning, I just wanted to write a female version of Lu Mingfei in this book. She has to be a cute girl who can play games, has a bad mouth and loves to eat. In the early stage, you will of course think that it would be great if a girl like this could be your girlfriend. Even if you don't have this mentality, it is always more fun to just look at such a girl than a loser who always says "I can't do it" when encountering problems.

But once the story line is extended, we have to face the dragon-slaying problem of the entire Dragon Clan series. The book Dragon Clan is actually a fictional romance novel. The story between the dragon clan and humans is not its main theme or background. So if you ask me to write Ming Fei, it is impossible for her to take the initiative to fight and kill dragons every day. I have played so many games. If I treat this tone as an RPG, can't I write it? But it is not such a story in essence, and it is impossible to develop in that way, so it is said to be written in a female-oriented way.

There was another problem when writing about Ming Fei. I found that I was not suitable for writing fan fiction at all.

When I wrote my first book, within three chapters someone said it had a flavor of Jiangnan Laozei. I said, "What?" I didn't take it seriously. Soon more and more people said that I didn't deliberately imitate Laozei's writing style, but was just poisoned by him.

I had a very special experience in 2014. It was at that time that I read the first three parts of Dragon Tribe over and over again. It may be the novel I have read the most times in my life. In addition, I have accumulated a lot of reading experience, mainly from various magazines, which led to the fact that my writing tone inexplicably developed a similar tone to that of an old thief.

It's all Jiangnan's fault! Give me back my writing style and tone, old thief!

While writing Ming Fei, the story line of the original novel would constantly appear in my mind. It was difficult for me to completely deviate from the original route and start a perfect long-term story that was absolutely unrelated to the original. I even had to open the original novel and review it when I didn’t know how to write it, and use the old thief’s pen to introduce a similar yet different story.

This is not good, but there is no other way. It is also because of this that I realized that I am not suitable for writing fan fiction, especially in "Dragon Clan", there are many dragon-slaying and fighting scenes that have to be written. Every time I write at this time, I feel extremely uncomfortable.

For the Wind King and Odin, it's not that I don't know I wrote it badly. In fact, I know very well that the Wind King was not intended to be a dual soul in the beginning, but I really don't know how to write it. Recently, I watched Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba vs Upper Six, and simply gave him a dual soul in one body so he is the strongest. But I have no idea how to show that the wind is the strongest. The same is true for Odin. The ending is not good.

The dragon clan is a low-level martial arts world, and its martial arts value is just so-so. I am not allowed to say that both sides will fire nuclear bombs at the same time, set up a large guardian formation, etc. Considering the world view I wrote before, I am probably more suitable for fantasy. That way, the fighting scenes will not be too difficult to write.

When this situation kept happening, my original motivation and enthusiasm for writing about cute girls for fun had long since disappeared, so I had to compress and write faster to end my imprisonment. Otherwise, according to the story line of the subsequent events, the confrontation between the mixed-bloods around the world and Gattuso that sparked a war in real society, the Siberian slate, Odin and Mingfei's parents, and Lu Mingze's role as prince and savior in the entire dragon history, all of these would add up to at least another 700,000 or 800,000 words.

But I have lost my enthusiasm. I have been in prison for too long. It is very painful to write so naturally my writing quality is not good. It is difficult to have the refined feeling that the book had at the beginning. It is better to simplify the ending than to make it worse and worse.

As for making up for the regrets along the way, actually, for me, there is no regret for the dragon clan. I am not familiar with Long Yi's Ye Shengjiu De Yaji Norton. They don't take up too much space in the whole book. To me, they are just characters with no feelings. Of course, I will not choose to change the entire story line for them, and do something to save them. Just like most people reading books, I am not interested in the tragic death of a passerby.

As for Xia Mi and Eri, the two heroines of Dragon 23, they are of course different. By the way, don't forget that my old job is to write yuri novels. Can I give up on cute girls?
But after all, I gave this book a normal ending. After defeating Odin, I wrote about Lu Mingfei's daughter. I immediately didn't feel depressed. I wrote it quickly and had fun while writing. The dragon-slaying girl eventually became a dragon, and the couple also became the guys who ran around the world back then. But Chu Yufei is okay. She is not surrounded by relatives like uncles and aunts, but a good girl like Eri is taking care of her.

Combined with the experience of the three books I wrote before, combined with this book, I can roughly know where my strengths are. I like to write about the emotional scenes between people, and the bits and pieces between two close people. Of course, this does seem to be more what female authors are good at. As a pure plot party who likes to read stories and plots, I just like the feeling of platonic love and indulge in all kinds of magical history and great people.

But in Ming Fei, the protagonist Chu Zihang is limited by the original novel, so it is difficult for him to have such a relationship with Ming Fei. If it is an original story, all dragons must be killed by the two of them, and every time there must be a thrilling story like Return of the Mummy and the emotional escalation...

This brings us back to the original question. Dragon Clan is not a book with this kind of tone at all. All the background settings are to serve the purpose of Jiangnan-style romance. If I write it out, it will just be another completely ooc thing. I simply cannot do it due to the limitations of the original work.

I probably won't write fan fiction after finishing this book. I even had an idea of Miss Harry Potter (pay attention to the punctuation!) in my mind before. If it was a Cinderella like Harry, who was a Potter but was bullied, the reactions of Snape and Hermione would definitely be very funny. But Mingfei's experience tells me that the character will definitely be as painful as Mingfei, so I choose to give up.

By the way, looking back at what I wrote before, I can actually realize my own shortcomings very intuitively. For example, when I first wrote The Reincarnated Princess, I wanted to write a detective story about Fil and Celine, but I soon found that my brain did not support me to do this. Even if I copied Conan's script, I couldn't do it. As a result, the later development was neither farming nor detective work, but more like a battle for hegemony.

The Silver-Haired Dragon Girl seemed to have a similar ending. It was supposed to be a doomsday world view, and a lot of things could be written about it, but the subscription was cut short due to the information leak on the Mao website at that time, which made me lose my temper and speed up the ending.

Thinking about it this way, although I am not a dead eunuch after completing four books, the story that truly meets my requirements and is perfect has not appeared, and I am not satisfied at all.

Recently I have started talking to my friends about a new book. Although I mentioned it before, it is about a princess and an assassin from a magical world who are stranded at the end of the world and encounter a scientific world that does not rely on magic at all. It is a series of road stories. The idea comes from Fault Mile Stone, a science fiction series of visual novels.

But the editor thought that the threshold was too high, and that the overly complicated magic science would affect the audience. However, this idea can be regarded as a copy. After many days of discussion, the overall tone of the book has been determined. It should be a road revenge drama about a witch and her cat servant. These days, while writing the Ming Fei extra, I have been preparing to write the first draft. If nothing unexpected happens, I will use this theme. Soon after Ming Fei is finished, I will start a new book. Now I am full of enthusiasm. When I first started writing, I definitely couldn't stop.

The witch this time will be what you said in the comments before. Since she has been feminized, why can't Ming Fei have a bigger picture and be Feng Aotian? Don't always be such a little girl.

Now Feng Aotian in the new book is here. She is a cute girl and powerful enough. She can do everything from killing people to robbing treasures to practicing and experiencing the road. There is no need to go around in circles with the male protagonist. She is just beautiful, strong and miserable. I wonder if there is anyone who is blind enough to say that I am writing for a female reader this time.

Of course, there are two female protagonists, and the other female protagonist is the black cat, a cat girl with long black hair! Spice and Wolf, Witch's Journey, Psycho-Pass, Steins;Gate, RE0, White Saint and Black Priest, Feng Ling Yu Xiu, are all themes that I like very much, and they are also the emotional ones that I am good at.

In the house where I live now, I still have a set of Irena's c clothes in the closet. The weather is getting colder soon. I think it would be very immersive to write the new book while wearing a witch robe. I can imagine that it is like writing an autobiography of the witch lady. It is easy to get into the mood as I write.

Well, I probably just need to get a black cat. I hope she can turn into a beautiful girl with long black hair when I say so. Then I will definitely choose to fuck her to death in the bed, or be fucked to death by her in the bed. I like either ending very much.

The new Witch and the Black Cat will certainly have a similar style to the above stories, and those popular growth and leveling elements will also be incorporated. As for what the main theme is... I have said my old profession so many times, and I also said that it is a double heroine. What else can it be but yuri! I am good at writing cute girls! There is no place for cute girls who are not cute!
I am really grateful that so many people like Ming Fei. The performance of this book is really beyond my expectation. The only regret is that I didn’t delete it and republish it after a year of hiatus. Otherwise, according to the editor’s requirements, it would definitely be able to reach the top of Sanjiang in one go, and it would not always be a big step away.

Then Ming Fei's story can really come to an end. From today onwards, she will not appear again. Instead, that bad boy Lu Mingfei is back. By the way, this time we also have our brand new, feminine version, with long black straight hair, aloof and domineering lady, Chu Zihan.

Of course, the next extra chapter is still the same as before. Shuizai Lu naturally won’t like Nuo Nuo, but chooses to pursue Chu Zihan.

Let me make it clear in advance that I'm really not a lesbian, I'm just a lesbian, but this kind of effeminate protagonist, it's really fun to see two guys who were originally good brothers become a man and a woman and get together.

It's like the old proposition, when your good friend becomes a beautiful girl, is it really too much for you to beg her to give you a shot of love? In this way, both of you solve the problem of being single at the same time, and the world is one step closer to a better place! And they understand each other very well, have common hobbies, and live a harmonious and happy life after marriage. If there are no cute girls, we will create cute girls! In every group full of sand sculptures, there is a rough guy who is given the persona of a beautiful girl for the desires of group members!

Ming Fei to Chu Zihang, Ming Fei to Chu Zihan, is such a joyful thing! Mortals, tremble!
