Chapter 35: Arbok's Reminder
"Meow~" After Meow Meow finished eating its food, it lay lazily in front of Heath, revealing its little belly, and rolled comfortably on the ground. Heath smiled and reached out his hand to scratch Meow Meow's belly.
Maybe because Seath often feeds these little guys, Meowth, Rattata, and Arbok are all very friendly to Seath. Seath has no problem touching them however he wants, and he can even pick up Meowth and spin her around.
"Hiss..." Arbok spit out its tongue and crawled to Heath's side. It looked up at the green caterpillar above Heath's head. With only one eye left, its face showed some vigilance and ferocity.
"This guy is so vigilant. It keeps threatening me, telling me not to hurt you." Zoroark lay on Heath's shoulder, looked down at the Arbok under him, curled his lips, and then stuck out his tongue at the Arbok.
Heath knocked on Zoroark's head with a helpless look, and then introduced Zoroark's identity to Arbok and Meowth. Arbok and the others looked a lot more normal. Heath felt that if Zoroark had just deliberately shown the intention of attacking them, Arbok and Meowth would really take action.
"Spring is coming soon, and life will be easier then." Heath felt the warm sun shining on his body and couldn't help but stretch himself, then he rubbed Arbok's head with a smile.
Although Arbok looks fierce, in fact, its head is very nice to touch. Heath always rubs Arbok's head. At first, Arbok looked reluctant, but later found that he could not resist, so he just resigned himself to his fate.
Heath happily rubbed Arbok's head, just like kneading dough, soft and cool. Heath thought that if he could rub Arbok's head in the summer, it would probably be more comfortable.
Winter is still too cruel for wandering Pokémon. In the past, in spring, summer and autumn, Arbok and the others rarely came to Seath for food. Only in the winter when food was scarce would they come to Seath for free food and drink, and Seath never minded.
"Hiss...hiss..." Arbok was spitting out its tongue. Its face was like a dough in Heath's hand. Arbok even rolled its eyes. It felt that Heath was about to shake its brains evenly.
"Trainer, it said that it recently discovered an outsider intruding into its territory, and reminded you to be careful." Zoroa shuddered. She swore that she would never let Heath rub her head like this. It was like kneading dough!
Heath was stunned for a moment. He really didn't understand what Arbok said, but now with Zoroark he could translate it.
"What intruder?" Heath was a little confused. Could it be that someone in Changqing City had abandoned his Pokémon again?
Such things are not surprising. After all, in a huge city like Changqing City, there are all kinds of people. Heath once met a man who ate a pancake and refused to pay, then turned around and ran away. If Miss Jun Shachun had not happened to pass by, Heath felt that he would probably see the first person in his life who ate and freed up money.
There are also many people who abandon Pokémon. Most Pokémon are abandoned by their trainers for various reasons. For example, Arbok was abandoned If it hadn't been lucky, it would have died.
"It said it didn't know either, it just smelled a strange smell, like the smell of sweat evaporating." Soraya did his job as an interpreter diligently.
Heath's expression became even more strange. What was the smell of evaporating sweat? Was there still such a strange smell these days? Heath thought about it for a long time, but couldn't figure out what the smell of evaporating sweat should be.
Although he didn't quite understand what Arbok and the others were saying, Heath still kept their kind reminder in mind. He thought that maybe some other Pokémon were abandoned.
After Meow Meow and the others left, Heath began to wait for mealtime. Changqing City was actually similar to ordinary human cities. The most common times for eating were mealtime and the time to get up in the morning to go to work. Heath had been here for so long that he had already figured it out.
However, occasionally some customers who did not have to work would come to eat, so Heath did not close his stall.
"Little Heath, today we have... um? What is this? Can I eat it?" Old man Ma Zhide walked over slowly with his hands behind his back, and the Charizard beside him followed his trainer with a staggering gait.
"Sure, Grandpa Ma Zhide, this is a new dish I launched recently, and it tastes pretty good." Heath smiled. The place where Ma Zhide pointed was the braised pork with fried tofu.
"Is that so? Then please give me two servings so I can try it." Old man Ma Zhide laughed. When he laughed, his teeth were exposed. There was one tooth missing, which made him look a little cute when he laughed.
Heath nodded. Fried tofu and braised pork with rice was the easiest to make at the moment. He only needed to scoop a bowl of rice and then pour the fried tofu and braised pork on it.
Charizard looked at the green caterpillar on Heath's shoulder with curiosity. The green caterpillar gave it a strange . Although it was a green caterpillar that could be cremated with a spark on the roadside, Charizard always felt that something was wrong.
"Apeng! How old are you? We have long passed the days when we were chased around the forest by green caterpillars!" Old man Ma Zhide glared at his Pokémon and stopped Charizard from wanting to go over to take a look.
When Heath heard what old man Ma Zhide said, he almost couldn't help laughing, and Charizard on the side turned pale. That was simply its dark history, but its trainer liked to talk about it very much.
"Trainer, what are you laughing at?" Zoroark looked at Heath in confusion. It didn't understand what was so funny.
Heath cleared his throat and did not answer. Instead, he handed two bowls of fried tofu and braised pork rice to Mr. Ma Zhide and watched Mr. Ma Zhide and his aging Charizard take them.
"Grandpa Ma Zhide, you still remember what happened back then." Heath said with a smile. Charizard glared at Heath, but it was of no use. Heath's attack power did not decrease.
"Hahaha, of course I remember. At that time, I took Apen, who was still a Charmander, to the Evergreen Forest for training, and this little guy..." Looking at Ma Zhide's hearty laughter, Charizard spit out a puff of smoke indignantly, but when the smoke hit the rice, he quickly inhaled it back.
This rice is so delicious.
