Chapter 33

Chapter 33:

Even as she passed the playground, a classmate she barely knew stopped her and asked, "Are you Kawase? You don't look special.

" "I heard Amemiya-kun disliked you. How pitiful.

" "Amemiya-kun, you had lunch with me today. You must be lonely by yourself, right?"

...

Don't make it sound like you were eating alone.

Wasn't Amemiya-kun just having a group meal in the cafeteria?

One or two would be fine, but along the way, there were seven or eight people who stopped her and secretly showed off.

She couldn't think of any other way to deal with it except to smile awkwardly and agree.

Amemiya-kun was so fickle that it would be a lie to say she wasn't upset. Especially in the afternoon, he threw out a cold remark:

"You're not in junior high anymore, are you? Going home together is so childish."

As he said this, four or five classmates stood behind him, either smirking or gloating.

Naoko's only thought at that moment was to punch Amemiya in the face.

But when she opened her mouth, all that came out was a stuttering twaddle: "...Ah? Is that so? That makes sense, I'm not in junior high anymore anyway..."

It was so pathetic!

She knew it, but she couldn't get over it.

So, with a look of grievance, she shouldered her backpack and, under everyone's ambiguous gazes, walked out of the classroom.

As she reached the school gate, as if sensing something, she turned back and glanced toward the classroom window.

Amamiya was still standing behind the open window, not sure if he was watching her; from the distance, Naoko couldn't discern his expression.

...Never mind.

That evening, her social media accounts were flooded with insults and taunts. It all boiled down to this:

dissatisfaction with her years of "smugness," her "pampering" from Amamiya-kun; cynicism

and arrogance at her finally falling out of favor; and

a sense of superiority that came naturally from Amamiya-kun's favor. It

was all quite childish.

Naoko didn't take it seriously. She closed the chat app and simply turned a blind eye.

She tried to understand Amamiya.

... No way, I can't understand it at all!

If you are tired of each other, break up as soon as possible, okay?

He dragged on and refused to break up, and ignored her. What's the logic?

She sent Amamiya several messages similar to "break up", but he pretended to be dead and didn't respond.

This kind of thing is not suitable to be brought up at school, but she couldn't find a chance to be alone, so she put it aside.

Naoko planned to talk to him about the breakup on the weekend.

Although they couldn't be lovers, they could still continue to be childhood sweethearts.

Thinking that the cat litter and cat food sent to Amamiya's house were almost used up, she ran to the commercial street to buy some new ones.

The pet shop owner knew Naoko well. Seeing her alone, she couldn't help but ask, "Oh, Naoko, are you alone? I just saw Amemiya-kun. I thought you were going out together today."

"Amemiya-kun?"

"Yes, he seems to be going that way."

"Thank you, sis. I'll follow him and see."

Finding Amemiya in a crowded place is a piece of cake. Not only does his towering height stand out from the crowd, but the constant attention he gives wherever he goes and the excited chatter around him make it easy to locate him.

But surprisingly, he wasn't alone.

He stood in the center of the crowd, surrounded by four blushing high school girls, each casting a cautious, almost piercing glance at him.

"Amamiya-kun, thank you for agreeing to this date... I'm so happy, I'd die without regrets..."

"Am I dreaming...? I'm so close to you now... I can even smell your perfume..."

...

It seemed Amamiya-kun had cheated on four people at once.

Naoko considered the possibility of jumping on Amamiya-kun and beating him up like the cheated husband in the TV show.

...But forget it. She still couldn't handle the feeling of being treated like a monkey.

But turning away and swallowing her anger was completely out of her control.

She took out her phone and called him.

As expected, he hung up the phone the moment it rang.

"Amamiya-kun, who's calling?"

"Could it be Kawase? That's such a bummer."

"Does Amamiya-kun like Kawase's type? He doesn't look like anything special..."

"Mind your own business. Aren't we going shopping?"

His cold reply was enough for the others to shut up.

Naoko's face flushed with rage. Cheating, and even complaining about his ex-wife to others...

As if sensing something, Amemiya glanced back.

She was nearly discovered, but luckily she dodged in time, hiding behind a wall.

She had to distance herself, following the group from a distance. Because the cat litter and food were too much of a hassle to carry, she simply left them at a familiar supermarket.

Amemiya shoved one hand in her pocket, the other hanging naturally at her side. A girl leaned so close that, from a distance, it looked as if he was holding her in his arms.

She was furious.

Fortunately, aside from this incident, nothing else happened until nightfall that was too much for her.

Arriving at a shop, Amemiya paused. "Let's eat here."

"Huh? Dessert tonight?"

The sign above her head clearly read, in large letters: [Kasuga and Dessert Shop].

Naoko trembled with rage: Not only was he cheating, but he was taking them to her favorite dessert shop!

While no one was paying attention, she chose a seat in the corner and sat down, ordering a parfait with double chocolate.

She couldn't hear what they were talking about because they were too far away, but Amemiya was still indifferent.

The girls bored themselves, and soon the atmosphere became quiet again.

After a quick dessert, Amemiya stood up: "It's getting late, I'll leave first."

Under the girls' lingering gaze, he took the initiative to pay the bill, put his hands in his pockets and left.

Without even looking back.

Naoko was originally complacent about her successful tracking today, but as soon as she stepped out of the door of the dessert shop, she was grabbed by the back of the neck by an arm.

"Have you been following me all day?" Amemiya bent down slightly and stared at her, "When did you learn the skills of tracking?"

"I, I didn't." She looked away guiltily.

He snorted coldly: "No? Tell me, after following you for a whole day, did our Naoko find any useful information?"

"..."

"Don't you want to talk?" Amemiya stretched out his hand and rubbed the back of her neck ambiguously. She shuddered and got goose bumps all over her body.

"No..."

"Don't you have anything to ask? For example, about today's date or something."

"Can I ask?" When she mentioned this, she was full of anger, "Did you cheat?"

"You asked so directly, our Naoko." He chuckled.

"Didn't you ask me? You cheated, right?" She was so angry that her teeth itched, and she couldn't help but reach out and grab his collar.

"Oh, so our Naoko is going to leave me because of this?" Amemiya's voice lowered a bit. It was obviously his fault first, but now he looked like he was completely right.

Naoko screamed in a low voice: "Isn't this nonsense?"

"No."

"Ah?"

He repeated it with a smile: "No. Kawase Naoko, you can't leave Amamiya Tomie."

What nonsense is this bastard talking about.

"Break up tonight! I really can't stand you. Do you think I'm a cuckold?"

Amamiya said as a matter of course: "How can our Naoko compare herself with those "rats" who are not even garbage?

" "I didn't "cheat", Amamiya Tomie will never "betray" Naoko. What happened today is probably no different from going out to take out the garbage. Are you angry?

"Then I can regard it as, Naoko, are you jealous of me?"

He actually compared the girl who loves him to "garbage", he is really as tasteless as ever.

She was about to scold him, but a cautious voice came from not far away: "

Excuse me... is this Amamiya-kun? It's so late, and you haven't gone home yet."

"Is there something wrong?" He raised his hand to cover Naoko's mouth, leaning forward, shielding her tightly in the darkness. "If you're fine, then get out of here."

"...Oh, oh, okay Amamiya-kun. Please don't be angry..." The girl's sharp gaze swept over, quite alert. "Who is that? Amamiya-kun is still with Kawase?"

Amamiya-kun's chest heaved, and he seemed to take a deep breath. "I told you, I have nothing to do with her. Are you still asking?"

"Ah, ah, oh, is that so..."

His answer was concise and to the point: "Get out."

The girl hesitated for a while, then walked away slowly, looking back with every step, as if trying to figure out who he was hiding in his arms.

After saying such misleading words, he turned around and distanced himself from her in front of others.

Naoko was so angry that she kicked him several times. He groaned twice and loosened his shackles on her.

"Naoko, you..."

Before she could finish, she raised her hand and gave him a loud slap.

"Amamiya Tomie, let's break up. Besides, you are the trash!"

After cursing, Naoko felt much better and turned to leave.

This seemed to make Amamiya Tomie very angry, because he suddenly stretched out his hand to pull her back, and growled at her with a ferocious face: "Take that back."

"Do you think I'm kidding?" After that, she slapped him on the other side of the face, "Okay, now it's symmetrical. Get out!"

It's not known what Amamiya was thinking, anyway, he didn't bother her again for a while.

But because they were classmates, even classmates, especially living next door, there couldn't be more opportunities to meet.

I don't know if it was intentional, but he always brought a large group of classmates, some unfamiliar and some familiar, to hang around in front of Naoko. People who used to be too lazy to respond to other people's kind greetings would now occasionally take the initiative to talk to others.

The advantage of this was that people paid less attention to her, and they began to argue endlessly for the attention of Amemiya.

At first, it was just a minor verbal argument, or a minor push or shove; but half a month later, she heard that the boys' dormitory had drawn their swords to fight over a pen used by Amemiya.

Fortunately, the teacher arrived in time, broke the pen in two, and solved the matter.

Naoko found that Amemiya seemed to be subtly contributing to the occurrence of such bad incidents.
