Chapter 30 I saved you
When Liu Hu fell into the water, he suddenly felt cold all over, as if he had fallen into an ice cellar. He kicked the water with his legs hard, hoping to swim farther, but because of his injuries, his strength became weaker and weaker.
Liu Hu didn't hold on for much longer. He just felt a black screen in front of his eyes and lost consciousness.
The river water was very cold at this season and there were no fishermen. Liu Hu did not hold out much hope and only hoped to flow along the river to the shore so that he could have a chance to catch his breath.
An unknown amount of time had passed before the pain in his body made Liu Hu extremely miserable. His mouth felt like it was on fire. He struggled to open his eyes, trying to see where he was.
As soon as I opened my eyes, what came into view was a mud roof. I wanted to turn sideways to look around, but I didn't have the strength to do so. Even my head couldn't move at all.
My body seemed to have been bandaged. Injuries were commonplace after years of fighting. I could tell whether the medicine was good or bad just by smelling it.
He was so scared now. He was so scared that he would soon face a new world and be forced to travel through time again for no apparent reason.
He has not yet aspired for the throne, has not yet met Lan Xin, and has not yet watched Zhiruo grow up. He has too many expectations in his heart.
Liu Hu smelled the medicines on his body carefully. They were all local medicinal materials from Daqian. These wound medicines were of the best quality. He was even more suspicious. Who saved him? Could it be that Ah Si and the others found him?
Or did Luo Fanchen find it based on the poisonous insects on his body? Liu Hu was even more confused. He only knew that the person who saved him had no hostility towards him.
"Boy, you're awake."
This voice was extremely familiar. After careful recollection, Liu Hu suddenly remembered, isn't this Tang Ya's voice? Did he roll back into the cave again?
That shouldn't be the case. The direction I rolled down and the cave are two different directions.
One is to the south and the other to the north, so it is impossible to return to the cave.
"Don't even think about moving. With your body like this, you won't even be able to turn over if you don't lie down for ten days or half a month." After Tang Ya finished speaking, Liu Hu felt another person slowly walking into the room.
The man's footsteps were so light that one could not hear them unless one listened carefully. After a while, a big monk with a face full of flesh appeared in front of Liu Hu.
"Boy, I saved you, shouldn't you give me something in return?" After saying that, the big monk took out his water bottle from his side and poured it directly into Liu Hu's mouth without caring about Liu Hu's reaction.
Liu Hu knew that the two people in front of him had saved him and must have no ill will towards him, nor did he doubt whether the water was poisonous.
Besides, even if it was poisonous, I didn't have the strength to resist.
When the "water" flowed into Liu Hu's mouth, Liu Hu was startled, because the kettle contained not "water" but wine.
The down-and-out uncle loves to drink, he must have been an expert in the past.
I don’t know if the drinking monk is a master, but the wine is really fragrant. Liu Hu is not a greedy person, so he wants to drink a few more sips at this time.
"Okay, your wound hasn't healed yet, so drink less. My wine is very expensive," the big monk glanced at Liu Hu's greedy look and scolded with a smile.
With water in his mouth, Liu Hu's throat felt better. He asked in a low voice, "Who are you? Why did you save me?"
"I am Monk Zhiqing, and I am honored to meet you, Grand Master. Amitabha." The big monk clasped his hands together in front of Liu Hu, lowered his head and chanted.
He didn't know who Zhiqing was, but he knew Zhihan.
"Who is the mentally retarded monk beside Murong Xin to you?" Liu Hu didn't know Zhiqing, but he knew that Buddhist disciples were ranked according to their names. Since they were all of the 'Zhi' generation, he must know him.
"Amitabha, that's my junior fellow apprentice. He betrayed our Buddhist sect five years ago and went to the Kingdom of Yan." Zhiqing would only be serious when chanting the Buddha's name.
Zhiqing saw that Liu Hu had regained consciousness, so he felt his pulse and said, "Since the donor has woken up, shouldn't you repay the kindness of saving him?"
"The Buddha said - saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda. The Buddha never asks for anything in return, so how can I repay him?" Liu Hu was not willing to make a promise easily. Who knew if the monk would ask for an exorbitant amount of money.
Zhiqing just smiled and continued, "Donor, you are wrong. Life only bullies the poor, and Buddhism only saves the rich. If you have no money, I would not come all the way to save you."
Liu Hu naturally didn't believe what Zhiqing said. He sneered and said nothing, obviously not believing what Zhiqing said.
Tang Ya could see that Liu Hu didn't believe Zhi Qing, so he advised him, "What he said is true. Three days ago, he predicted that you would fall into the water here, so he brought my hundred-year-old Ganoderma lucidum here in advance. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to use it, so he brought me here."
"Tell me, how many valuable things do you want? As long as you say it, I will send them to you when I return to Shangjing." Liu Hu said with disdain. Even if he could calculate it accurately, what good would it be? He still liked these worldly things.
Zhiqing shook his head and refused: "I don't want those dung, what I want is the promise of the Grand Master."
"What promise?" Liu Hu suddenly became interested. Could it be that this old monk wanted to be an official? Or did he want to be a national teacher?
Because of the long years of war in Daqian, the whole country believed in Taoism. Buddhists always come out of the mountains in prosperous times and go back to the mountains in troubled times, so the national teacher is also the head of Taoism.
Could it be that this monk Zhiqing wanted to use himself to become the imperial teacher?
Zhiqing took out the Buddhist beads from his bosom and said, "I saved you because God has a benevolent heart and I was destined to meet you. However, monks do not lie. I don't want you to live because your appearance will cause chaos in the world, and the people will be displaced and more people will die because of it."
"So, I saved you this time because I hope you can live in seclusion here. I can give you anything you want. What do you think?"
Liu Hu sneered. A real man has ambitions to travel far and wide. How can he stay here for long?
"I'm sorry, I can't do that." Liu Hu said without thinking.
Zhiqing seemed to know what Liu Hu would say, and sighed, "Have you ever heard of the story of 'Han Shan Asks Shi De'? Why can't you be more open-minded?"
"Haha, if people in the world slander me, deceive me, insult me, laugh at me, look down on me, despise me, hate me, and cheat me, I will kill them, torture them, destroy them, behead them, remove them, cut them, coil them, and fix them. Just let's see if they can survive seven days?" Liu Hu has never been a good man. Revenge has always been his principle.
Zhiqing glanced at Liu Hu, and took back the Buddhist beads that he had intended to give Liu Hu, and said in embarrassment: "Donor, will you not consider it again?"
"The Dao cannot tolerate the lack of cooperation. If you think that I will become a threat to other countries in the future , just kill me now. I will never resist." Liu Hu said passionately.
In fact, when Zhiqing said those words, Liu Hu knew that a great monk like Zhiqing would definitely not kill him, so he said that.
"Haha, I told you that this kid has the Seven Killings Fate and won't be easily influenced by you, but you just don't believe me. Compensate me with three pots of wine." Zhiqing didn't say anything, but Tang Ya, who was standing behind him, laughed when he heard Liu Hu's words. It was obvious that he won the bet.
