Chapter 3: The Unbreakable Ten-meter Restriction 4

I don’t know if it was because I told Hongze not to disturb our classes, but Hongze was very quiet the whole afternoon. He didn’t talk to me in my mind from time to time regardless of class time like before.
After so many days, a rare quiet afternoon made me feel a little uncomfortable. When the Chinese teacher called the end of class on the bell, I realized that it was time to go home.
"I'm on duty today. You go over there and wait for me for a while." Zhou Mian held the broom in one hand and handed me his schoolbag with the other.
I nodded obediently, thinking whether to let Hongze come out now: "Okay, then I'll go to the old library and wait for you."
"So, are you going to take the broom to the old library to clean the roof? You haven't been in good shape today." Zhou Mian shook the broom that we were holding together and said jokingly.
"Ah!" I quickly retracted my hand holding the broom and snatched the schoolbag from Zhou Mian's other hand, "I'm leaving."
Zhou Mian laughed and shouted behind me: "Haha, you must hold on to my schoolbag tightly, otherwise I won't know if it falls on the road!"
I stamped my feet in anger, and when I saw the trash can, I had the urge to throw Zhou Mian's schoolbag into it. But it was just a thought. If I dared to throw his schoolbag, he would definitely not allow me to go to his house to see the kittens again. That would be a huge punishment!
I was carrying my own schoolbag on my shoulders and holding Zhou Mian's schoolbag in my hands. We had not walked far when I felt my hands getting sore and shaking so much that I could no longer hold his schoolbag.
“Is there lead in the schoolbag? Why is it so heavy…” I put Zhou Mian’s schoolbag on my raised toes to give my arms a rest, complaining.
"Let me get it for you. Don't get me wrong, I just want to get out early!" Hongze's voice sounded in my mind.
"Now? You mustn't! There are so many people coming and going on the road. If you suddenly emerge from a cloud of smoke, you will be treated as a monster and caught for scientific experiments!" Hong Ze's suggestion startled me. I didn't even have time to rest. I picked up Zhou Mian's schoolbag and ran towards the old library, for fear that he would really run out if he couldn't help himself.
"Humph! A dog bites Lu Dongbin!"
"Yes, yes, I'm not appreciative. I know you wanted to help me carry the schoolbag to lighten the burden." I felt helpless. Running with two schoolbags already made me out of breath, and I had to talk to comfort Hongze at the same time.
"Don't be so self-righteous! I just want to get out earlier. If you don't want my help, just run faster!"
"Hey! Got it!" I resigned myself to quickening my pace and exerting all my strength. If the PE teacher saw this, he would surely be moved to tears.
As I was talking, the main entrance of the old library appeared in front of me, and I felt like tears were about to burst out. With the momentum of sprinting to the finish line, I rushed forward two steps, panting with each step, and walked into the old library.
As soon as I reached the stairwell, Zhou Mian's schoolbag slipped out of his hand and fell to the ground. I sat down on the ground, gasping for breath, as if I was going to absorb all the oxygen within a radius of 20 meters.
As soon as I sat down, Hongze appeared. His deep voice sounded above my head: "You can't carry anything on your shoulders, you can't lift anything with your hands, and you get out of breath after running a few steps. What's the use of you?"
"I...I can get you out of the Soul Binding Cage." I gasped and looked up at him, stunned by Hongze's appearance.
Sitting cross-legged in the air, Hongze looked down at me. He was no longer wearing the robe he wore before, but our school uniform. The black uniform wrapped around Hongze, showing his well-proportioned figure, broad shoulders and narrow waist, without a single extra muscle on his body. The buttons were buttoned meticulously to the top, and the wrists exposed by the cuffs looked even whiter against the background of the uniform. The black uniform pants were tightly attached to his legs, and his ankles could be vaguely seen.
I blinked in disbelief. “Where did you get that uniform?”
"How is it?" Hong Ze slowly stood up, stepped on the steps in front of me, and turned around magnificently. "Is it better looking than Zhou Mian?"
Looking at Hongze's conceited look, I suddenly felt unhappy: "It's just... okay."
"Tsk, I won't bother with you." Hong Ze waved his hand nonchalantly, bent down, and easily hooked Zhou Mian's schoolbag on the ground with his fingers , "Give me yours too."
Without waiting for my reaction, my schoolbag instantly moved from my back to his hands. My heart was warmed, and the sense of relief made me happily jump onto the stairs, and with an exaggerated hurdle posture, I jumped over the second-floor guardrail and landed on the roof of the red brick house, and gave myself a 9.9 with satisfaction.
"Are you happy?" Hongze asked me while floating leisurely in front of me, holding his head.
"Eh? No." When Hongze suddenly asked me this, I subconsciously refuted him. But when I thought about my actions just now, I scratched my head embarrassedly and said, "Maybe... a little bit, hehe, I'm inexplicably happy."
"You don't play with the black box?"
"Black box?" I repeated Hongze's words in confusion, and thought seriously about when I had ever played with that kind of thing.
Hongze, who was sitting cross-legged in the void, seemed quite dissatisfied, his eyes staring straight into my trouser pocket.
Suddenly it dawned on me that the black box in my pocket was my cell phone.
I found it a little funny. I didn't expect Hongze to be so interested in mobile phones.
I took out my cell phone and handed it to Hongze. Although young people nowadays are quite dependent on cell phones, for someone like me who has few friends and is not keen on playing mobile games, there is not much difference between a cell phone and a watch.
"I don't really want to play," Hongze turned his head to the side, but his hand quickly snatched the phone away, "Since you want me to play so much, I'll just take a look."
"Pfft, then just try to take a look."
"Tsk, that's what they made at noon, do you have this?" Hongze threw the phone into my hand with disgust. I gasped, but fortunately the phone fell steadily into my palm.
I resigned myself to my fate and turned on the camera function of my phone, struggling to hand the phone to Hongze again. I couldn't help but complain in my heart, why is this guy so interested in taking selfies? He is really a narcissist, a proud and narcissistic person!
Hongze held up his phone and made the "Yes" gesture to the phone, imitating Li Weiwei's gesture. Then he pouted his lips and made a "kiss" expression. He took ten consecutive photos before he contentedly swiped his phone to admire his photos, nodding with satisfaction.
I sat on the ground, propped up my head, and watched Hongze fiddle with his handsome face with interest. I couldn't help but sigh, when did watching others play with their phones become an interesting thing?
Suddenly, Hongze frowned, and my heart tightened, fearing that he would throw my phone at me again if he got upset.
"Men and women should not touch each other!" Hongze stretched his cell phone in front of me and said with great dissatisfaction.
I looked at it and saw a photo of me and Zhou Mian on my phone. Zhou Mian was holding a puppy in one hand and protecting it against his chest, and he stretched out his other hand against my face, trying to push me away. I didn't give up and stretched out my hand in a weird posture to touch the puppy, but I couldn't touch it. Uncle Zhou took the photo because he thought it was interesting, and I thought it was funny too, so I kept it in my phone.
Seeing my expression, Hongze tapped my head with his phone in even more dissatisfaction: "I don't like it! Delete it!"
"Ah? Why?" I was a little embarrassed and didn't understand why this photo made Hongze unhappy.
"What are you doing?" Zhou Mian's voice came from behind me.
Hongze instantly floated in front of Zhou Mian, with his phone almost touching Zhou Mian's face, and said word by word: "Men and women should not touch each other!"
Zhou Mian was forced to take a step back. After seeing the photo clearly on the phone, he tilted his head and said to me with a smile: "Haha, you kept this too?"
"I kept it because I thought it was fun," I explained.
"I don't like it! Delete it!" Hong Ze childishly took a step forward, blocking Zhou Mian and expressing his dissatisfaction to me again.
I felt a little helpless. In fact, it wasn't a particularly important photo. Seeing Hongze's repeated requests, I had no choice but to say, "Okay, okay, delete, delete. How can a photo offend you?"
"Why did you delete it?" Zhou Mian climbed onto the roof, snatched the phone from my hand, and said unhappily.
"This..." I spread my hands, looked at Zhou Mian and then at Hong Ze, not knowing what to do.
Zhou Mian turned my phone over in his hand, stared at Hongze, and suddenly came in front of Hongze and forced a photo with him.
“Hahaha, what’s that expression on your face? If someone doesn’t know, they’d think I was robbing a woman!” Zhou Mian laughed as he looked at the photo of the two of them. He held his phone out to me while operating it. “Lingmiao, look at this guy. His expression is so funny!”
I took the phone and saw that Zhou Mian's face occupied three quarters of the screen. In the remaining quarter of the screen, Hong Ze had his eyes tightly closed, his mouth pursed into a straight line, and his head leaned back desperately, looking like a forced young wife.
"Pfft!" I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Hongze finally couldn't keep his previous leisurely attitude anymore, he rushed over and tightly grasped my shoulders, his forehead against mine, and said in a very oppressive tone: "Don't laugh! I don't like it! Delete it!"
"Haha! It's useless! Look what this is!" Zhou Mian laughed and said proudly.
Hongze pushed me away and turned back to look at Zhou Mian. He saw the photo on Zhou Mian's phone, then took my hand and looked at the phone in my hand. He was so scared that he took a step back and looked at me with a frown: "What kind of witchcraft is this? Why haven't I seen you cast a spell before?"
"Hahaha! Young man, this is not witchcraft, this is modern information technology, hahaha!" Zhou Mian hooked his arm around Hongze's shoulder and patted him hard several times, "You are so funny! Let's go to the river! Let's go to the river!"
"Line bag...faith...hope...technique?" Hong Ze was unable to react. He felt nothing after being slapped several times by Zhou Mian. He mechanically repeated what Zhou Mian had just said.
Hearing his strange punctuation, I covered my mouth, stifled a laugh and said, "No matter what you understand, your understanding is definitely wrong. Don't delve into this matter, just know how to use it."
"You! A mere human, yet you dare to speak so arrogantly! Do you think you can guess what I'm thinking? You are simply courting death!" Hong Ze turned his head and glared at me. Although his words were full of threat, Zhou Mian, who was standing next to him with one hand hooked on his shoulder and looking back at me with a playful smile, suddenly lost more than half of his momentum.
I held back my laughter and admitted my mistake: "No, no, I was wrong."
"Hmph, you are such a spineless person." Hongze looked me up and down, frowned and said with disgust.
I was choked by Hongze and could only smile awkwardly. I thought to myself: Are you kidding? I hated Zhou Mian so much before, but he was won over by taking a photo with him. Who is the one who has no backbone?
Wait! Looking at the two people who had already walked to the stairwell, I finally realized something was wrong and yelled, "Why don't you two take a bag and leave!"
