Chapter 27 Simulated Universe
Chapter 27 Simulated Universe
In the space station, somewhere in the space where data is flowing.
"Ruan Mei, are you sure he can take on this job?" said an arrogant and childish voice. The little girl in puppet form was seen flexibly fiddling with the data streams distributed in the air and building a simulated space.
"So far, he's doing pretty well." An intellectual and elegant voice answered her. The Chinese woman, wearing a Su-style cheongsam and with her hair tied into a gentle bun, created small slices in the data one by one.
"It's true that it can fight, but if it can't arouse the interest of those guys, it will be of no use at all." The arrogant and childish voice continued, talking about a topic that was blasphemous to all factions.
"I have a feeling that he will be the key." With a slight shake of her hand, she hid a slice representing herself into the probability.
Superman has already passed through three floors in a row. He doesn't know how much space is left in this space station, but the instincts of his body and soul remind him to destroy all the bugs he sees.
"Crack", as the last real stinging insect in this layer shattered and disappeared in his hands, Clark's brain, which was controlled by instinct, cooled down slightly. He casually patted off the ashes on his palm, as aggressive as a god of death.
"Mystery Man! Come out! Don't be such a coward!" He shouted while standing in the dust. Fortunately, Superman didn't need to breathe, otherwise he would have coughed excessively.
"There's no use shouting, Ruan Mei, it seems he... wait, damn it!" In the data space, Heita's voice suddenly became exasperated.
“Hehehehehe——”
Just when Clark thought no one would respond to him, a sudden burst of laughter from both men and women suddenly appeared, and the space around Superman began to stretch and deform, and finally returned to nothingness.
Superman found himself standing in the void. Everything before him disappeared, as if he had come to another world.
Then a bunch of laughing masks, playing cards, clown balls, trick toys, all the objects that Clark could imagine representing joy, surrounded a human figure whose outline could only be seen, and emerged in the void, with neon lights and floating flowers dotted the background.
He spoke, with countless laughs in his voice:
“Ahaha!”
Clark stared at the mask closest to him, with countless thoughts running through his mind. He asked warily, "Who are you?"
"Poor little white mouse, ran off to space and ended up being trapped here killing bugs~ He even mistook poor Aha for a green-feathered parrot chasing a bat. Aha is so embarrassed!"
Superman directly attacked, Superman tried to attack, and Superman was powerless.
Aha continued to laugh: "Hehe, little white mouse, everything here is fake. Aha has already discovered that this is just a poor computer being played around by the famous genius club members~"
"What..." Superman, who tried to attack but failed, was about to ask, but Aha's figure suddenly flickered, and the unnatural distortion was like a frame drop.
"Aha, it's that big rock. Now we're going to have some fun~" Aha seemed to have discovered something, and after leaving some ambiguous words, his figure disappeared.
"Wait, what do you mean? Come back here!" Superman stretched out his hands, but his superpowers that had always been invincible lost their effect at this moment. He could only watch as the space around him began to distort, deform and dissolve as Aha disappeared.
The voice of the Black Tower floated in the data space: "Damn it, the intelligence of the virtual Ahaha is too high. We can't even be sure whether a part of Him is really here. The simulated universe still needs to be adjusted and modified..."
"Screw Gum should be online. Even if it is Screw Star, we should be able to find him through long-range remote sensing." Ruan Mei provided a solution, because the adjustment of the Star God was not within her scope of work.
This is not because she was shirking her job, but as a genius herself, she understood the arrogance of her two colleagues.
"If you don't mind, I'll do a little experiment in the confinement section of the space station." Ruan Mei said coldly.
"It's up to you, you can pick any of my collection." Heita went to contact Screw Gumu without looking back.
"Thank you. I will prepare a corresponding return gift." She left.
The female voice died down, and the program simulating the universe was urgently terminated. A tiny stream of light was mixed in with countless data strings, and no one paid attention.
In the end, this void returned to nothingness, and in the boundless darkness, Superman fell down.
“Woof woof!”
It's the barking of a puppy.
"Mr. Kent?"
It was the voice of Miss Ester, the station commander.
"I'll call someone now."
It’s Alan, the head of the Defense Department.
Clark slowly opened his eyes. There was a bright light hanging on the unfamiliar ceiling. Superman, who could look directly at the sun, squinted his eyes and gradually realized where he was lying, probably on a rest bed in the medical center.
"Ah, you're awake, Mr. Kent."
Esta appeared in Superman's sight, looking at him with worry on her face, and Pepe also jumped onto the bed with her.
"Woof, woof." The puppy barked and wagged its tail.
"Oh Pepe, you haven't wiped your paws yet, you dirty dog!" Estelle quickly picked up Pepe, leaving four black footprints on the white sheets.
"Are you okay, Mr. Kent?" Alan also came over, looking relieved:
"It's all my fault. If I had completed the task assigned by the young lady earlier, I wouldn't have bothered you to go on an adventure alone."
The dark-skinned boy's face was full of self-blame, and his white hair turned dull.
"Woof~" The puppy pressed its black paw on his leg, not sure whether it was to wipe his feet or to comfort him.
"It's all my fault, Alan. I knew the situation in the space station but still forced you to complete so much work." Estelle spoke, taking the responsibility on herself.
"Um, what happened to me?" Superman asked. He only remembered that after meeting a mysterious man who called himself Aha, he kept falling and fell into darkness.
Estelle looked at Clark with a worried look on her face. "We found you in front of the elevator leading to the confinement section. You were lying on the ground unconscious, so I asked Alan to bring someone to bring you here."
"The confinement section?" Clark's face was full of confusion. He clearly remembered that he did not see any words indicating confinement before entering the elevator.
"There was a dangerous experiment in the confinement section. A staff member blew it up and stole a spaceship to fly across the space station. Although it was repaired in the end, it was sealed because of a small leak."
Esta briefly introduced the background settings that the players had randomly added.
"Mr. Kent, what exactly happened? Did we encounter a powerful enemy?" asked Alan, the head of the defense department. He had the obligation to protect everyone's safety.
Clark told the truth about his encounter with the insect plague, but he couldn't say anything about the mysterious man and Aha. Every time he wanted to say something, it became something insignificant, such as the foolish joke that Batman has a butt chin.
"It's actually an insect plague..." Esda's face looked a little ugly. She never expected that the space station, which was obviously made of iron, would be so plagued by disasters. Now is the critical moment for the opening of the space station, and the pressure is suddenly increasing.
"Miss, I will take people to clean up the confinement section now." Alan was very decisive and started to act as soon as he finished speaking.
"Ding ding--" At this moment, Esta's cell phone suddenly rang. It was the special ringtone she set up specifically for Ms. Black Tower. Superman wanted to say something to keep her, but he didn't say it out loud.
Ester lowered her head to check the text messages. Clark slowly sat up and leaned his back against the head of the bed. Alan, as Ester's right-hand man, also stopped temporarily, waiting for the stationmaster's next instruction.
"Alan, you don't have to go to the confinement section." Estelle looked up with surprise and confusion on her face:
"Ms. Ruan Mei is going to visit the space station at this time. Ms. Black Tower has already allocated the confinement section and some rare items for her to use."
"Dr. Ruan Mei?" Alan was also shocked: "Could that mysterious person be..."
"I'm not sure, Alan. After all, with Dr. Ruan Mei's ability, it seems common sense that she doesn't need to go through such a big detour to enter the space station." Estelle bit her lower lip, confusion written all over her face.
"Who are you talking about?" Clark asked. Why did another unknown person appear? How many things about this space station have not been revealed?
Esta turned to look at Superman, "Sorry, I forgot. Generally, few people know the name of Dr. Ruan Mei. In the genius club, she is considered a hermit."
What on earth is this genius club? Clark found that this world was really crazy, changing every day.
"To put it simply, Miss Ruan Mei is a true genius recognized even by Ms. Heita. She is a great master of biology and a pioneer and founder in the field of life sciences."
Esta briefly introduced Ruan Mei's identity and sorted out her thoughts while speaking:
The sudden arrival of a new genius club member will undoubtedly add a new wave to the already turbulent space station, but if handled properly, she will be able to keep many of the backbone members of the staff here.
Life science? Superman frowned. It wasn't that he was suspicious, but it was just too much of a coincidence. He had just encountered a plague of insects. This kind of life form was well-known throughout the universe for its own peculiarities, at least in the Kryptonian textbooks he read.
For a genius who specializes in life sciences, it would be a piece of cake for him to copy and clone these little things. But Ms. Black Tower actually allowed such a person to enter the space station and even gave her considerable authority. It was really——
Too conceited and willful.
"Mr. Kent?" Estelle's voice brought Clark back to his senses. He suddenly realized that he was too engrossed in his thoughts and actually fell into a daze.
"Sorry, I was thinking about something else. Where were you talking about?" Superman smiled at them, looking particularly weak against the backdrop of his hospital gown and the spotlight.
Estelle and Alan exchanged a worried look. "The current situation is that, based on the whim of genius, the mysterious person who borrowed your identity is most likely Dr. Ruan Mei."
"But there is still no definite evidence to prove that she borrowed your identity." Alan continued.
"So the investigation into the identity of the mysterious man can come to an end for now, until we find new evidence or the space station celebration ends and the aliens return to Earth."
