Chapter 224: The Ten Great Principles of Mohism, Ying Zheng's Second Eastern Tour

Su Che is sleeping in the secret realm of snow. Even if the earth falls, this place will still be the last pure land.
And Su Che's powerful heroic spirits walk the earth on his behalf and contribute their own strength.
Since you have made a contract with Su Che, it means you don't want to see the world become a purgatory of demons.
Even without Su Che's command, they still took the initiative to do something instead of staying in the Snow Secret Realm and waiting for death.
The nine mythical heroes, as well as the only legendary hero Wang Meng, paid their respects to the goddess one by one and temporarily left the Snow Secret Realm.
After all the heroes left.
Goddess Xue blinked and secretly glanced at Su Che who was still sleeping, with a strange look on her face.
"Now... there are only two of us left?"

Su Che suddenly shuddered.
This made him feel a little strange.
He was quite low-key in the simulated world. Everything went according to plan and he didn't provoke anyone.
In the eyes of outsiders, he is just a smart child.
Who will target him?
Who will harm him?
Why do I feel this way?
How strange!
Su Che frowned and thought for a long time, but he couldn't figure it out.
He always felt something was wrong.
It's impossible that nothing happened.
Could it be that...
Is this what happened in the real world?
Logically speaking, nothing should have happened.
There is a huge difference in the speed of time flow between the simulated world and the real world.
According to past practice.
Decades or even hundreds of years in the simulated world are only a few hours in the real world.
This huge difference in the speed of time flow is also the key to Su Che's growth.
In the eyes of outsiders, he is an extremely terrifying genius, or even a son of luck, and breaking through the realm is as easy as eating and drinking.
But only Su Che himself knew that it was not that simple. He relied on the time in the simulated world to gain experience bit by bit.
Being able to interfere with the simulated world infinitely is the key to Su Che's growth!
Could it be that the difference in the speed of time flow between the real world and the simulated world has changed?
Something happened outside? ?
Thinking of this possibility, Su Che suddenly became a little uneasy.
If this problem really happens... the consequences will be unimaginable.
In this case, should we end the interference early?
Su Che was a little hesitant.
He just shuddered and did not feel any life-threatening danger.
"Something must have happened..."
"But mostly nothing major happened."
“So there’s no need to rush to end the interference.”
“This opportunity for simulation is a rare opportunity.”
“Don’t give up easily.”
Su Che thought about it for a long time, but finally did not give up.
In fact.
There was indeed nothing big happening outside, it was just the fall of a demon saint.
During this period, Su Che studied at the Jixia Academy and was exposed to knowledge from various schools.
He did not act as if he had debated with Confucius, looking down on others. Instead, he had a positive attitude and studied various schools of thought like a scholar, just like a dry sponge, constantly absorbing all kinds of knowledge.
This opportunity is really rare.
The Jixia Academy can be said to be the world's first institution of higher learning with a special form that was officially organized and privately hosted.
Historically, the spectacular "Hundred Schools of Thought" arose with the Jixia Academy in Qi State as its center.
The scholars of Jixia debated with each other, spread academic ideas, accepted disciples and taught, thus forming a situation of a hundred schools of thought contending with each other.
Various schools of thought, including Confucianism, Mohism, Legalism, Military Science, Taoism, Yin-Yang and Five Elements, shine here.
Although Xunzi is a representative figure of Confucianism, he does not restrict his disciples' studies.
It doesn't matter whether it is the Legalists, the Military Strategists, the Taoists, or the Mohists.
Benefit from such an open attitude.
Su Che can study to his heart's content.
After being exposed to the knowledge of various schools, the one that interested me the most was the Mohist school.
In addition to studying the theoretical knowledge of Mohism, Su Che also made a piece of equipment entirely by hand.
He is debugging this device now.
Su Che shook his head, put aside all distracting thoughts, and thought again about what could be improved.
Just at this moment.
A familiar voice came from the side.
"Junior brother, what is this?"
Zhang Cang came over and looked at the sophisticated and complicated machine in front of him with some curiosity.
Zhang Cang felt inexplicably absurd.
His teacher Xunzi is a representative figure of contemporary Confucianism, but several of his senior brothers followed the Legalist school!
For example, Senior Brother Li Si, who has already gone to the Qin State, and Senior Brother Han Fei, are both masters of the Legalist school.
This is understandable.
After all, the teacher advocates the theory of human nature being evil.
Xunzi believes.
Just as it is the nature of trees to spread out their shade in order to gain more sunlight, humans are also a kind of creature in nature, born with an unconscious selfish nature.
When faced with coarse food and fine food, without any prerequisites, people will naturally be more inclined to choose fine food.
Human beings are born like all other things, and they will unconsciously expect their desires for hearing, seeing, and smelling to be satisfied.
Therefore, Xunzi defined this innate selfish nature as evil nature.
Xunzi's theory of human nature being evil points out the nature of "selfishness", while Xunzi's "goodness" refers to the behavior of restraining "selfish desires" through learning social moral norms in the process of acquired education.
In other words, "human evil" is innate, and "human good" is acquired.
Based on this foundation.
This is what prompted Han Fei and Li Si to become legalists...
The causal relationship between them is understandable!
However, this junior fellow apprentice leaned towards the Mohist school as he studied. What was going on? !
This is a bit too ridiculous!
As for the relationship between Confucianism and Mohism...it cannot be said to be diametrically opposed, but at least they never interacted with each other.
Many Confucian scholars firmly believe that the Mohists are a group of beasts without a king or father!
This view has some origins, and it was said by Mencius.
Who is Mencius?
The second sage of Confucianism!
If Confucius is the founder of the building, then Mencius is the builder and perfecter of the building.
A very heavyweight presence.
Mencius once said: "Yang's self-centeredness is without a ruler; Mo's universal love is without a father. Without a father and a ruler, one is a beast!"
In the Confucian ethical system, relatives are more special than strangers, and there are obligations and responsibilities between relatives that are beyond limits.
The Mohists denied the special nature of this kind of kinship, believing that everything should be based on "benefit", and that people should love each other and benefit each other regardless of their closeness.
Here is another example.
In the Analects, Zai Wo asked: "Three years of mourning is already too long! If a gentleman does not practice rituals for three years, rituals will be ruined; if he does not practice music for three years, music will collapse. The old grain has gone down, the new grain has risen, and the time has come to drill a flint to make fire. The period is over."
Confucius said: "Eating rice and wearing brocade, what good does it bring to you?"
He said, "Peace!"
Confucius said, "If you are at ease, do it! A gentleman in mourning does not enjoy delicious food, does not enjoy music, and is not at ease in his place, so he does not do it. Now that you are at ease, do it!"
When Zai Wo left, the Master said, "I am unkind! A child is born three years before he is free from his parents' arms. Three years of mourning is a common practice in the world, so how can I love my parents for three years?"
This is the content of the Analects . The general meaning is that Confucius' disciple Zai Wo said: When parents die, mourning for three years is too long. If a gentleman does not practice etiquette for three years, etiquette will definitely become corrupted; if he does not play music for three years, music will definitely become obsolete. The old grain has been eaten, the new grain has come, and the flint for making fire has been rotated, so mourning for one year is enough.
As a result, Confucius criticized Zai Wu for being unkind!
Confucius believed that a child can only be completely separated from his parents' arms after three years. The three-year mourning period is a common funeral ritual in the world. Didn't Zai Yu receive the love of his parents for three years?
This Zaiwo is a very famous person.
His name appears five times in The Analects.
Basically, they were criticized by Confucius and can be regarded as a classic negative example.
The most famous one among them is, "A rotten tree cannot be carved," which is exactly what I want to be killed.
"Filial piety " can be said to be the core idea of Confucianism.
Ever since Confucianism became the dominant school of thought.
After the death of parents, mourning for them for three years has basically become a common practice among scholars. Anyone who does not abide by it is considered unfilial!
In ancient times, the consequences for being unfilial were very serious. It was no longer a simple issue of moral character, but rather one would be despised by people all over the world and completely ruined.
Even officials had to go home to observe mourning for three years, and could only come back to continue serving as officials after the three-year period was over.
Historically, not long after Su Dongpo passed the imperial examination, his mother died of illness and he returned home to observe mourning for three years.
A few years after the end of the mourning period, his father died of illness and he had to observe mourning for another three years.
But if we follow the Mohist viewpoint and proposition - don't say mourning for three years, even one year is too long! You only need to mourn for three days, if it's longer, it will delay production! !
The Mohist view is actually contrary to the Confucian view!
In addition, the Mohists also have such viewpoints as "universal love", "non-aggression", "respect for the virtuous", "respect for the same", "Heaven's will", "understanding ghosts", "non-fatalism", "non-music", and "thrift".
To some extent, some of these views are very consistent with Su Che's ideas, so it is normal for him to tend to Mohism.
The learning atmosphere at the Jixia Academy was very relaxed; even a disciple of Xunzi could dabble in Mohist doctrines.
In the eyes of other Confucianists, this behavior is simply treason and betrayal of teachers and ancestors.
But in Xunzi's view, it is possible.
The ten major propositions of Mohism certainly make sense, otherwise it would not have become a prominent school of thought in the world!
Mencius, who advocated the theory of human nature being good, believed that the Mohists were beasts without a king or a father.
What does this have to do with Xunzi, who advocated the theory of human nature being evil?

Su Che said without even turning his head: "This is a textile machine."
"Textile machine? But this thing of yours looks completely different from those textile machines." Zhang Cang was a little surprised.
"Of course it's different." Su Che said slowly: "This textile machine is called a hand-cranked spinning machine. It can spin many threads at a time. Its efficiency is dozens of times that of an ordinary textile machine."
"How much...?" Zhang Cang thought he had heard it wrong.
"Dozens of times." Su Che repeated.
"Junior brother, are you serious?" Zhang Cang confirmed again. He realized that this matter was extraordinary. If it was true, this machine would definitely cause a huge sensation.
"Of course I am serious. Senior Brother Zhang Cang should know that I come from a farming family. It is not easy for my family to support me to study at Jixia Academy, so I have always wanted to improve this situation." Su Che said slowly: "I personally have no ability to keep this new machine, and I need the help of all the senior brothers. Let's work together and make money together!"
As the saying goes, food, clothing, housing and transportation, in this era, the manufacture of silk fabrics is definitely the most profitable business.
There were many kinds of textiles in ancient times.
Fabrics made from silk alone can be divided into six types: gauze, damask, satin, brocade, and silk.
These six textiles are distinguished because of their different weaving techniques.
Each has its own weaving methods.
They are distinguished because of the different overlapping relationships of the warp and weft threads during weaving, which results in differences in touch, glossiness, etc.
certainly.
The prices are also slightly different.
Silk, gauze, satin, brocade and silk are mostly the choices of high-ranking officials, wealthy businessmen and powerful people.
For ordinary people, ordinary cloth is naturally more cost-effective. Whether it is coarse cloth or linen, it is a very good choice.
Textile machines that are dozens of times more efficient, this is a huge business and Su Che naturally cannot handle it alone.
So he divided the cake and shared it with his fellow brothers.
Those who can become Xunzi's disciples are basically not ordinary people.
Only with these people as the background can Su Che's new textile machine be preserved!
This is Su Che’s first step in getting started!

After leaving the secret realm of snow, Ying Zheng traveled through the clouds, heading eastward according to the approximate direction in his memory, and finally arrived at the seaside.
"Is this the place?"
Ying Zheng looked at the scenery around him and whispered softly.
In those days, after Qin annexed the six kingdoms and unified China, Ying Zheng worked non-stop to build highways, open waterways, and inspect counties.
This was the destination of one of his eastern tours.
In the distance, the endless blue sea is constantly surging with waves, and the waves are beating against the rocks on the shore. Looking further away, the sky and the sea are connected together without boundaries.
Originally, the scenery here was extremely beautiful, and it seemed to be the same scenery as in my memory.
However, due to the fusion of the two worlds, a war was imminent, and fortresses were urgently built on the mountain. The patrolling soldiers had grim expressions. Many people who had been to the demon world knew what the scene would be like when the war came.
As a soldier on the front line, there is a high probability that he will die and there is no possibility of survival.
But for the sake of their families' survival, they all came here with the determination to die.
In contrast to these solemn warriors, there are some young warriors who are very much looking forward to the upcoming war.
Most of them are warriors from martial arts universities who have not witnessed the cruelty of war and have no idea what they will face next. They all want to make achievements, earn military points, and become stronger!
The veterans knew that this mentality would harm them, so they repeatedly gave lectures and took the new recruits to extra training, so that they could cooperate better with each other, hoping that they could survive the next war...
Even if this is a one in a million chance.
