Chapter 216: The mastermind behind the scenes!
In the cockpit, time passed quickly and we were already over the fifth side of Los Angeles Airport, passing the final approach positioning point.
In the past four hours, Xu Cangzhen relied on the main electric trim to control the pitch of the aircraft. Even in the terminal area, where the control even had requirements for the descent rate, Xu Cang could meet the control requirements quite accurately, and his control precision directly stunned Chao Ning and the co-pilot.
The crew did not change shifts in the last four hours. However, Chao Ning asked the co-pilot to inform the other captain, who said he had no objection and would follow Xu Cang's instructions.
It can only be said that the captain who was replaced later by Muhua Airlines was a little too obedient. He really just played his role as a tool and would not express any opinions of his own.
To Xu Cang, such a cooperative person is naturally the best. However, to other ordinary pilots, such a captain actually seems irresponsible.
However, Xu Cang was not bored enough to care about others. After all, the runway was right in front of him, and in a few minutes, his torturous journey would be over.
At an altitude of one thousand feet, the tower had already given permission to land. Xu Cang's left hand was not even on the thrust handle. Instead, he lay flat on the steering wheel with his chin resting on the middle of the wheel. His right hand was hanging down. Due to holding it up for a long time, his right hand was indeed a little sore.
The left hand naturally replaced the right hand. Xu Cang crossed his left hand under his chin, crossed it and grabbed the right steering wheel armrest, and casually used his left index finger to adjust the main electric trim.
Seeing Xu Cang's extremely careless state, not even paying attention to the thrust handle, Chao Ning's eyes twitched a few times. He could understand Xu Cang's state. After all, flying manually for more than four hours, anyone would be a little overwhelmed. But after all, it was time to land, so he should be more cautious, right? How could he be so casual?
However, Chao Ning did not raise any objections, because even though Xu Cang used such an awkward control technique, the plane still remained very regularly on the standard glide path without the slightest deviation.
Five hundred feet high!
Xu Cang yawned and glanced at Chao Ning next to him: "You hold the throttle. Although I think it's impossible, if there is an unexpected situation and we need to make a go-around, I'm afraid my left hand won't be able to catch up. If we need to make a go-around, you will be responsible for adding throttle, it shouldn't be difficult, right?"
It's not difficult to just step on the accelerator. Chao Ning nodded smoothly and said, "I'll wait for your command when we can take off again?"
Xu Cang retracted his gaze: "Yes. If you have nothing else to do, listen to my command and help me lower the accelerator."
When Chao Ning heard this, it was clear that Xu Cang was really unwilling to move his right hand, and he wanted to maintain this posture to complete the landing.
However, Chao Ning still agreed.
"Don't you want me to step on the accelerator before landing and then retract it?"
This method of moving the throttle is a commonly used method for pitch-blocking landing. That is, on the eve of touchdown, the throttle is suddenly increased. Under the sudden increase in thrust, the nose of the aircraft will naturally pitch up to establish the touchdown attitude. Thereafter, the throttle is quickly retracted, most of the time it is retracted directly, and then the aircraft is allowed to fall on its own.
This type of landing technique usually results in a larger ground load because there is no process of establishing a gentle posture and reducing sinking.
However, in special circumstances, landing harder is just a trade-off. As long as it is not too exaggerated, the company or the authorities will not cause trouble for it.
However, in response to this default conventional method, Xu Cang just shook his head slightly: "No, let's land normally."
Chao Ning didn't quite understand: "Does that mean we still have to use all the power? Do you want me to watch the plane sink and help you reduce the throttle?"
If the landing is normal, the establishment of the aircraft attitude and the throttle need to be coordinated together, otherwise how can it be called a normal landing?
"No, if I give the order to slow down the throttle, just slow it down all at once."
Xu Cang even straightened up and glanced slightly outside the windshield: "It's decided. You only have two actions, go around and increase the throttle to full, or land and reduce the throttle to full. Don't have your own ideas."
Chao Ning's mouth twitched. Xu Cang really regarded himself as a tool without self-awareness. However, to be honest, it was still a bit difficult for him to land with a pitch jam.
Even if he could land the plane well in the simulator, it was a simulator and there was no psychological pressure. How could it be the same as a real flight? If Chao Ning was really allowed to land the plane alone, he would be under a lot of pressure.
Although deep down, Chao Ning felt that Xu Cang did not take the pitch and elevation jam seriously enough, but in view of Xu Cang's previous miraculous deeds, he still felt that it was more reliable to trust Xu Cang.
Therefore, Chao Ning no longer had any objections and just had to be his own tool.
At an altitude of 200 feet, the aircraft entered the decision altitude and turned to the visual phase. However, Xu Cang did not look up, but still hung his head and looked at the PFD in the cockpit.
It wasn't until the radio altimeter reported fifty feet that Xu Cang finally turned his eyes to the outside. Normally at this time, he could try to use the stick to establish a landing attitude.
However, fifty feet is still a bit high, and even when starting to establish the attitude, the movement should not be too large, just tentative. If everything is normal, at about thirty feet, the aircraft attitude can be formally increased to a relatively large extent.
However, no matter how much you carry, it is increasing the aircraft's attitude in order to gradually reduce the aircraft's descent, unload the aircraft's energy, and prepare for landing.
But Xu Cang did the opposite. At 50 feet, he actually adjusted the trim a little bit. This action made Chao Ning dumbfounded. How could he adjust the trim when he was about to land? Others would reduce the sinking, but adjusting the trim forward would accelerate the sinking. How could he land?
Could it be that Xu Cang was so tired after flying for four hours that he started to lose consciousness?
Once this thought appears, it cannot be stopped. It is indeed possible. After all, this operation is really against common sense.
"Should I take over the control?" Chao Ning thought to himself.
However, it was unknown whether Xu Cang had the ability to read minds. At the moment when Chao Ning had this thought, Xu Cang's lazy voice rang out: "Don't be distracted."
Chao Ning was stunned for a moment, then his face suddenly changed. This was not because of Xu Cang's words, but because the plane did not accelerate and sink as he expected when it descended to a radio altitude of nearly 30 feet.
At an altitude of thirty feet, the ground effect is already very obvious for the Boeing 777, which has a wingspan much larger than that of the 737. And it must be said that the Boeing 777 is the latest model after all, so its aerodynamic layout must be better than that of older models such as the 737, which can be seen in the approach speed.
The approach speed of an aircraft as large as the Boeing 777 is actually not much faster than that of the Boeing 737. This shows the advantages and disadvantages of the two in terms of aerodynamic layout.
However, it is not that Boeing does not have the ability to upgrade narrow-body aircraft such as the 737. Everything is based on profit. Changing the layout of the 737 would cost tens of billions of dollars in R&D investment. If the 737 can be used to carry the aircraft, who would be willing to save less than two billion dollars in investment?
It was precisely because of the Boeing 777's unrivaled aerodynamic capabilities and the increasingly obvious ground effect that after Xu Cang trimmed forward, the plane seemed to be lifted up by something and did not sink significantly at all.
Moreover, since Xu Cang was holding the throttle, it was reasonable to say that at this time, the throttle should have been reduced a little, after all, Xu Cang's entry altitude, energy, etc. were all fine. If the throttle was reduced late, the energy accumulated in the plane would not only not be removed, but would increase, which would easily cause the plane to always be held up, otherwise it would not be able to land.
It is for this reason that Xu Cang needs to trim the plane forward a little more at low altitudes, otherwise the plane will not only be unable to descend at an ultra-low altitude, but may even float up.
However, the reason why Xu Cang did this was to process the aircraft to a state with relatively high energy for the subsequent operation of the throttle.
In a normal landing, the throttle is gently and consistently released in coordination with the aircraft's attitude. However, due to the pitch jam, it is not easy for the aircraft to smoothly move out of the attitude. This has nothing to do with the technique, but is due to the difference in the way the pitch trim and the elevator work. Xu Cang did not think of using his own skills to smooth out this difference, so he thought of changing his technique.
Previously, Xu Cang told Chao Ning that he should immediately release the throttle when landing. Usually, this method of releasing the throttle is used when the energy is relatively large, and then hold the pole and land in a relatively small posture.
For a skilled pilot, this is not the way to go. Only when visibility is poor will he deliberately choose this high-energy method to push the plane down. Why? Because when visibility is poor, the pilot needs to be ready to take off at any time.
At a slightly higher altitude, it doesn't matter. But in a low-altitude environment, you must consider a more extreme problem, that is, zero-altitude go-around.
Even though the 737 manual states that the aircraft has the ability to make a zero-altitude go-around, it does not mean that a zero-altitude go-around is an acceptable operation. Any airline and any flight instructor are very cautious about zero-altitude go-arounds, because they involve extremely critical issues such as go-around after touchdown and tail strike.
The problem with zero-altitude go-around is that the thrust increase of the turbofan engine has a lag, that is, the throttle is increased, but it takes a certain amount of time for the engine thrust to increase. This results in that at ultra-low altitude, if the pilot decides to go around, even if the throttle is increased, it will take a while for the engine thrust to increase, which will cause the aircraft to continue to lose altitude.
This height is usually between twenty and fifty feet. For an aircraft that is about to land, this loss of height can easily cause the aircraft to touch the ground first. In addition, if the amount of stick required for a go-around is too large, it can easily cause the aircraft to scratch the tail, which is quite dangerous.
Therefore, in such a situation where visibility is low and a low-altitude go-around is possible at any time, the pilot will deliberately keep the aircraft with excess energy. In this way, if a go-around is really made, since the aircraft itself has sufficient energy and is powerful, even if the thrust is delayed, it will not cause much loss of altitude, which reduces some of the dangers of ultra-low-altitude go-arounds.
Of course, this method of pushing the stick down can also cause some problems. The most common one is that for pilots who are not skilled in this method, it is very easy to cause a long drift distance. On some runways of more than 4,000 meters, drifting a little far is not a big deal. At most, you will get a hard warning for a long drift distance and be scolded by the quality center.
But if it floats like this on a short track, it will cause big problems.
So, flying is a matter of sacrifice and gain. It requires hard work and you can't cheat for even a moment.
Others deliberately made the plane powerful in order to create a good energy state for a go-around, but Xu Cang did it because he could only pull the throttle in one breath, which was like making dumplings for a plate of vinegar. Although it was a bit of putting the cart before the horse, it was harmless as long as there was no problem.
Sure enough, Xu Cang tightened the throttle and pushed the nose down, and the speed of the plane began to soar. However, this process could not last too long. Of course, Xu Cang did not intend to let this state of excess energy continue for too long.
At about thirty feet, Xu Cang began to adjust the trim continuously, without stopping. However, since the pitch trim stroke is much smaller than the direct control of the elevator, even though the trim wheel is spinning, there is no such large input on the pitch in the world.
After the trim wheel continued to turn backwards for a while, at an altitude of about 20 feet, Xu Cang suddenly ordered: "Collect the lights!"
Chao Ning did not hesitate and pulled the throttle all the way. At the moment when Xu Cang stepped on the throttle, he paused for a moment to adjust the trim. When the engine sound had obviously faded, Xu Cang started to adjust the trim again. Since then, Xu Cang's main electric trim has never stopped.
Because the aircraft had a lot of energy before, pulling the throttle all at once did not cause the aircraft to lose power quickly, but the aircraft attitude slowly increased under the effect of pitch trim. After floating for three or four seconds, Xu Cang felt that the attitude was almost out from his visual observation, so he stopped the trim.
The amazing thing is that at the moment the trim wheel stops turning, the aircraft's landing gear just lands on the runway. The difference between the two is almost inaudible. It is a perfect match and extremely delicate.
As soon as the plane landed, Xu Cang immediately let go of the steering wheel and stretched out his left hand towards Chao Ningping: "Hand over the controls!"
Chao Ning didn't dare to relax. He immediately took over the control and used reverse thrust and speed brakes.
Xu Cang leaned back, his right hand on his knee, trembling slightly. His right hand was numb from trimming for nearly four hours. He thought this transatlantic flight on a Boeing 777 would be an easy one, but he didn't expect it to be so hard.
However, it was a safe landing after all, and there were no problems. After taxiing to a remote position, Chao Ning stopped the engine and asked impatiently, "I think I can imitate the normal leveling process. When it is 50 feet, I should be able to match the leveling process."
"What do you want to cooperate with?"
"Pull the stick back smoothly and evenly. Wouldn't trim be the right thing to do? I'm also a captain. I can see the sinking and can correct the throttle value."
Xu Cang shook his right hand and said casually: "Think back, did you really pull the stick smoothly and consistently when you landed? Have you ever pulled the stick? I have too. Many people say this is a bad habit, but does this mean that in actual flights, people never pull the stick smoothly and consistently when landing? Even in calm winds, how many times can the plane keep sinking? We need to use the elevator to control the plane's sinking, but some people are rough and violent, so they pull the stick."
"The elevator reacts very quickly, but can the pitch trim do the same? Can it be done so precisely? Probably not. Then reduce the amount of control and only make continuous input in the last twenty to thirty feet. Do you know why I choose high-energy landing?" Xu Cang asked back.
Chao Ning could see it clearly: "If you only let me release the accelerator in one breath, then I can only go down with full energy."
"Have you ever thought that the pitch trim stroke speed is much lower than that of the elevator? Therefore, when I start to trim from 30 feet to landing, the actual pitch input is not large, which means that the touchdown attitude will be relatively small. What kind of aircraft state can be used for a small touchdown attitude?" Xu Cang smiled and said, "But this is not very difficult. I think you can do it, right?"
Chao Ning was thoughtful. He didn't expect that there was also a consideration about the small pitch trim input. He hadn't thought of this point at all. It can only be said that the gap between him and Xu Cang in realm is quite large.
Leaving aside the so-called mysterious realm, in terms of technology alone, Xu Cang was able to fly the plane as if there was no problem just by using the pitch trim, while Chao Ning questioned whether he had such ability, and thus in terms of technical level, the two were not at the same level.
"There's really a gap in all aspects." Chao Ning sighed.
At this time, Xu Cang had already unbuckled his seat belt. The passenger elevator on the apron was approaching the plane, and the shuttle bus was also ready. Xu Cang had slept for a long time and shouldn't be sleepy anymore, but the last four hours were really stressful, and once his nerves relaxed, he felt sleepy again.
Suddenly, Xu Cang asked, "Does Muhua have a backup crew in Los Angeles?"
"Yes! Because these flights have to stay overnight, in order to prevent some unexpected situations, there is a spare crew in the overnight hotel. What's wrong with that?" Chao Ning asked curiously.
"What's the matter? Of course I'll contact Muhua and ask them to change the flight back. Why, do you still want to fly back?"
Chao Ning was stunned: "Fly...fly back, what's wrong?"
"What's wrong?" Xu Cang patted the steering wheel. "As if this hadn't happened yet? For the sake of the company's interests, why didn't we report it to the regulator? But no matter what, we are violating the rules, and from your perspective, there are safety risks, so we have to accept the investigation according to the procedures. Why, not only did you not tell the regulator, but now you have to hide it from the company and the bureau?"
To sum up, it is true that he protected the interests of the company, but it is also true that he concealed the truth and should be punished. After all, in the eyes of ordinary pilots, Xu Cang's behavior posed a safety hazard. Of course, Xu Cang did not think it was dangerous, but he felt that it had no decisive significance.
"In the end , we will still be punished, this..." The co-pilot was speechless: "Then why should we hide it?"
Chao Ning's mind worked quickly: "If we report it to the regulator, the matter will easily leak out and we won't be able to control it. However, if we report it to the company and the bureau, it will be an internal incident and will be resolved internally, with a much smaller impact. There is still a big difference. It's just that..."
Xu Cang pulled his chair back and said, "Just what? Don't worry, Mu Hua will protect you. Even if you have to accept punishment from the bureau in the end, your company will probably compensate you somewhere else. Don't you understand this?"
In a sense, if this crew is punished by the authorities, it would be a scapegoat for the company. Although some unscrupulous companies would take it for granted that their employees would take the blame, Muhua Airlines still has a bottom line. At least from the perspective of comprehensive interests, the compensation this crew will receive in the end should be greater than the penalty loss.
No matter what, an airline is a commercial organization, and profit is a very important thing. As long as you understand this, everything is actually very simple.
"Will everything really be alright?" Chao Ning was still a little unsure.
Xu Cang waved his hand: "I feel like Mu Hua is the type who needs to have some dignity, right?"
The passenger seated in the back was as confused as if he had eaten a fly. He managed to utter, "It's hard... hard to say!"
Xu Cang was stunned: "Ah?"
Chao Ning also looked worried: "Our company has some reputation, but... not much."
There is face, but not much! What a painful realization.
"You guys are really..." Xu Cang pointed at the panel: "Is it really okay to say that? The CVR is recording it."
Upon hearing this, Chao Ning and the co-pilot turned pale. Xu Cang was so happy that he laughed out loud: "Don't worry, it's okay."
At this moment, the cockpit door was suddenly knocked twice. The co-pilot turned on the surveillance camera in the front cabin and found that it was the maintenance staff at the door, so he opened the door. The maintenance staff rushed in, first identified the captain, and then said to Chao Ning anxiously: "Captain, I found a lot of ice in the gap between the elevators. Did you have any problems with the control when you were flying just now?"
"Uh..." Chao Ning hesitated, but finally didn't lie and told the truth: "It seems to be stuck in the pitch, but there are no other problems."
"Controls are stuck!?" The maintenance man's scalp felt numb.
This maintenance worker was a resident maintenance worker at Muhua. He was also very nervous when he encountered such a big problem. If the control was blocked during flight, it was no small matter. Not only did he have to report it to the company, but he also had to report it to the bureau. Moreover, if he reported it late, he would be punished.
The maintenance officer was puzzled: "I haven't received any notification either."
Generally speaking, if a problem is discovered during flight and the crew reports it to control, control will notify the maintenance staff in advance so that they can prepare. But no one notified him in advance, which is quite strange.
Chao Ning's expression became a little unnatural when he mentioned this, and he coughed twice: "Um...we didn't report it to the control department."
"You didn't report it to air traffic control?" The mechanic's expression froze for a moment. "Such a serious incident happened, and you didn't report it to air traffic control and just flew back like that?"
"Yes, we flew back just like that." Xu Cang smiled. "It's not a big problem. Didn't we land safely? After carefully checking the condition of the plane, just report it truthfully."
The maintenance worker looked at Xu Cang, who was not wearing a pilot's uniform, and was a little confused for a moment. Chao Ning saw the maintenance worker's confusion and explained, "He is still the supervisor of this flight. Just listen to him and report truthfully. In addition to the ice accumulation between the elevators, are there any other problems?"
The maintenance man shook his head. "That's not the case. It seems that there is a problem with the route you are taking. I heard that many planes on that route reported severe ice accumulation, and several of them had to make emergency landings in Anchorage."
"That's the weather." Chao Ning heaved a sigh of relief when he heard this. If it was a problem with the Boeing 777 itself, the subsequent transoceanic flight would be quite troublesome. Now it seems that it was just an environmental factor.
Chao Ning waved his hand: "Okay, go ahead and do your work. We will also report this to the company."
Since the flight crew would also report it, the maintenance staff had nothing to worry about. They nodded and went back to work.
After the maintenance staff left, Xu Cang slumped down in his chair: "I need to catch up on some sleep when I get back to the hotel..."
Chao Ning was also careful. He noticed that Xu Cang's right hand on the steering wheel would tremble intermittently and unconsciously. This was a sign of exhaustion and he needed to take a good rest.
About ten minutes later, the cockpit door opened and the chief flight attendant leaned in and said, "It's all over."
Xu Cang quickly got up. No matter what time it was, getting off work was always relaxing and enjoyable.
Seeing Xu Cang's impatient look, the co-pilot quickly folded up his seat to make way for Xu Cang.
As soon as Xu Cang left the cockpit and was about to go to the cabin to get his luggage, he just passed the front cabin door when a deep male voice suddenly came from outside the cabin: "Mr. Xu!"
Xu Cang paused and looked outside the cabin. He found two white men of medium build standing on the passenger ladder at the cabin door. Both of them were wearing black suits and sunglasses, looking like secret agents. Among them, a man who was slightly taller was half a body length ahead and seemed to be the leader.
However, compared to his cool appearance, this guy's Chinese accent is really not flattering, which completely destroys his temperament and makes him look a bit out of place.
Xu Cang tilted his head: "Looking for me?"
The man standing in front stepped forward again and nodded slightly: "I am a representative from Boeing headquarters. If Mr. Xu doesn't mind, I have something to discuss with Mr. Xu."
"Don't mind? No, I mind very much." Xu Cang smiled, and without paying any attention to the Boeing people, he went straight into the cabin.
The representative from Boeing headquarters was stunned on the spot. How could they be so disrespectful to Boeing? However, he only hesitated for a moment and shouted to the person behind him: "You are right here."
So the Boeing headquarters representative went straight into the cabin. However, according to regulations, outsiders were not allowed to enter the cabin, so the flight attendant quickly came over to stop him.
"Sir, I'm sorry, you can't go in!"
The representative from Boeing headquarters simply took off his ID and slapped it into the chief flight attendant's hand. Then, he walked past the chief flight attendant and entered the cabin to chase Xu Cang.
At this moment, Chao Ning happened to come out of the cockpit. He saw a person who didn't look like a crew member going into the cabin. He also saw the flight attendant looking at the documents in his hand. He was curious for a moment: "What's wrong?"
The flight attendant pointed at the Boeing headquarters representative who entered the cabin and showed the ID in his hand to Chao Ning: "It looks like it's from Boeing."
Chao Ning came closer to take a look and saw that it was indeed a Boeing work ID: "What are Boeing people doing here?"
"Looking for that Xu Cang, I don't know what's going on."
"Looking for Xu Cang?" Chao Ning frowned and looked into the cabin.
At this time, the Boeing representative had already caught up with Xu Cang. When he approached Xu Cang, he hurriedly said, "Mr. Xu, we really have something very important to do."
"I know, otherwise you wouldn't have come to the airport to block me." Xu Cang took his bag off the luggage rack: "But, whether it's important or not is up to you, it has nothing to do with me."
The Boeing representative was so anxious when he saw Xu Cang was not willing to listen. "Mr. Xu, it's not a difficult matter, and we won't make it difficult for you. We are willing to offer 10 million US dollars for just one thing, a 1566 FDR. Our people have discussed it with your company's boss, and she said that everything is up to you. Mr. Xu, I think buying a scrapped FDR for 10 million US dollars is not a loss-making deal, right?"
Xu Cang's action of taking the bag suddenly stopped. He thought for a moment and immediately figured out the relationship.
The most fatal problem in the research report that has put Boeing in a difficult situation now is the problem of the structural strength of the 737 fuselage. Even if Boeing proves that the fuselage damage caused by the pressurization after the tail strike has no direct relationship with the structural strength of the aircraft, it will not help.
If we want to get out of the current predicament, we must first solve the source problem, otherwise everything will be in vain. Since the current contradiction lies in the structural strength of the 737, we only need to prove that the 737's fuselage is strong enough.
How to prove the structural strength of the 737 fuselage?
No matter how much data is listed, none of them can be more convincing than a shocking super maneuver. Recently, there happened to be such an event that can reflect the strength of the Boeing 737 fuselage, which is the Jianchuan 737 upside down at 1566!
I have a large civilian airliner that can fly backwards and not disintegrate in the air. Isn't this ironclad fact much more powerful than any pale explanation?
However, the mere presentation of this fact is not enough, not in-depth enough, and not conclusive enough. After all, there is no clear video evidence of Xu Cang flying the 737 upside down. Moreover, even if there is a video, image processing technology is now quite advanced in this era, and a single video is not convincing enough.
Boeing has already contacted Jianchuan Airport and retrieved the footage from the airport surveillance, but the quality is a little . Therefore, Boeing still needs the flight data of 1566. They not only need to present the fact that the 737 flew inverted, but also need to explain it in detail with the flight data, striving to make this unprecedented inverted flight in the history of passenger planes into a textbook-like propaganda material, so as to eliminate the outside world's doubts about the strength of the Boeing 737 fuselage structure.
With the video and the flight data, the two are matched, and the outside world has no choice but to believe it.
Now that the video is ready, the only thing missing is the flight data, which is more important than the video. It is for this reason that Boeing is willing to spend $10 million to buy a flight data recorder.
In terms of price, Boeing is indeed quite sincere, but this does not mean that Xu Cang will agree to it.
"I heard that you guys are having a hard time lately!?" Xu Cang suddenly asked.
The representative of Boeing headquarters looked very unhappy: "There is a research report that is very unfavorable to us at Boeing. It includes the safety incident of the aircraft with the number 1566 that Mr. Xu experienced before..."
The Boeing headquarters representative stopped talking halfway, which made Xu Cang laugh: "Are you doubting me?"
"No! To be honest, the research report was just a pretext. The key is that someone deliberately messed with us later." The representative of Boeing headquarters said coldly: "But no matter what, we must solve the source to save ourselves. Mr. Xu, we believe that you have nothing to do with this matter, and we also believe that you, Mr. Xu, are good friends with us Boeing..."
At this point, the Boeing headquarters representative's meaning was clear. If Xu Cang was willing to help Boeing, then Xu Cang would have nothing to do with the research report and would be a good friend of Boeing, and the matter would be over.
But if Xu Cang is unwilling to help, then Boeing will have to investigate further since Xu Cang is not a good friend.
It seems that Boeing has really been pushed into a corner and has started to carry out its threats.
In fact, from a rational point of view, Xu Cang should agree to Boeing. Not only can he get a large sum of money, but he can also make Boeing owe him a favor and get a promise of forgiveness for all the past. All he has to pay is a flight data recorder of a scrapped aircraft.
However, Xu Cang was in hesitation and could not make a decision.
The representative from Boeing headquarters saw that Xu Cang was still hesitating, and immediately asked anxiously: "Mr. Xu, what are you thinking about? If you really want to be our enemy, this is not an option, right?"
"You said that the research report was just an excuse, and the real reason is that there is a mastermind behind it?"
The Boeing headquarters representative was stunned for a moment and asked impatiently: "What do you mean?"
"The mastermind behind the scenes can make Boeing so difficult with a report that is not fatal to you. It shows how powerful the mastermind behind the scenes is. If I give the thing to you, doesn't it mean that I have ruined the good thing of that mastermind?" Xu Cang's eyes flashed with caution: "What if he targets me?"
