Chapter 2 Interweaving of Light and Shadow 4
I picked up Quint's half-cooked skewers of meat, patiently put them back into the oven one by one, and turned them over attentively. The servants had also been busy all day, so I had to roast some to reward them.
I used a knife to cut off the burnt parts and then cut the meat into pieces, so that it would be cooked through and more flavorful.
"I don't allow you to get close to that stupid dog again." A familiar yet cold voice sounded behind me.
"Ah!" I was so scared that I accidentally cut my finger with the knife in my hand.
"You..." A trace of pity flashed in the cold Ino's eyes. He grabbed my finger, put it in his mouth and sucked it.
Didn't this Ino say he was going to sleep? Looking at the man in front of him who had no glaring red mole at the corner of his eye , he looked more resolute, but exuded a cold aura.
Feeling Ino's tongue sucking on my wound, I couldn't help but feel my heartbeat speed up. I almost thought he wanted to devour me and make me merge into his body!
I twitched my fingers in embarrassment.
If he continues sucking, I will lose too much blood.
Ino then let go of my hand, but still held my wrist to check if the wound was still bleeding.
"I order you to stay away from that stupid dog. If I catch you being nice to that stupid dog again, I'll bite your neck off." Ino threatened viciously.
I frowned unconsciously. Was it my illusion? Why did I see a blood-red light flashing in Ino's eyes, and a pair of fangs that were particularly dazzling in the moonlight, making people shudder.
"Did you hear that, stupid human?" Probably because he saw that I didn't react, Ino increased his grip and growled to bring me back to my senses.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I shook my hand away in displeasure. I really didn't like the way he spoke in such a commanding tone and how he always slandered humans, as if he was not a human!
"You belong to me, and I won't allow anyone to covet you." Ino grabbed my shoulders and said seriously.
I looked into his deep eyes. At this moment, he was like a wounded lone wolf in the desert, pitiful but extremely dangerous.
"Have some barbecue. I added pepper to it. It's delicious!" I looked at Ino with a smile and handed him a skewer of barbecue.
"The barbecue on the stove is all mine. I don't allow you to grill it for others." Ino took the barbecue from my hand unhappily, ordered domineeringly, and sat down on the ground.
"Okay, all are yours." I smiled and shook my head. What a willful young master!
I took the plate, put all the skewers on it, and sat down next to him with my hands on my knees.
"Aren't you curious about who I am?" Ino asked coldly.
Shrouded in the moonlight, he is mysterious yet charming, making people want to find out what’s going on.
"Curious! Are you Ino?" I tilted my head and looked at him. He didn't have a red mole at the corner of his eye, so he shouldn't be the gentle Ino, right?
"I'm Ilan, Ino's twin brother." He looked straight at me and said seriously.
Sure enough, my intuition told me long ago that the beautiful boy in front of me was not Ino.
Yinuo is sunny and handsome, loves to act like a spoiled child, and likes to cling to people. However, Yilan in front of me gives people a sense of mystery, and is always overbearing to the point of making people laugh and cry. If Yinuo is a stupid husky, then Yilan is definitely an unruly lone wolf. One of them is light and the other is shadow, but they are equally charming. At least I have no resistance to them.
The sudden feeling of oppression brought my thoughts back. I didn't know when Yilan came close to me, so close that my eyelashes could touch his when I blinked.
"What are you thinking about?" Yilan growled with his eyes wide open, grabbing my shoulders with both hands. I could feel his nails digging into my skin.
"No!" I shook my head in panic, "You hurt me."
I struggled in fear. I didn't know why, but every time Yilan got angry, his eyes would always be filled with a blood-red glow.
"Qian Xunrui, I say it again, you are my prey, and I don't allow you to have that stupid dog in your heart." Yilan still didn't let go and gave me a serious order.
After saying that, he pounced on me, pressed me under him, opened his thin lips, revealing his sharp fangs, and bit my neck.
"Wait a minute, Yilan, let me go, you scared me, you... wuuuu..."
I struggled desperately and could feel his sharp teeth rubbing against my neck.
Finally, I cried out of grievance. He really scared me. What was the difference between his behavior and that of a robber?
"You shouldn't show up so often, it causes trouble for Ino." Quint's voice came from behind me.
Yilan finally let me go.
"You are still the same, always hiding in the dark." Yilan sat up and looked at Quint coldly.
I covered my neck and escaped from Yilan's clutches.
"Same here, can't you only show up at night?" Quint shrugged indifferently with a faint smile.
"All this should have been mine, why can't I show up?" Yilan stood up, patted the grass debris on his body with a sneer, but his sharp eyes never left Quint for a moment, as if he was afraid that if he relaxed, he would fall into Quint's trap.
"You'll end up hurting both sides if you do this," Quint said coldly.
Listening to their conversation, I could feel the temperature around us plummeting.
"Hmph! Sooner or later I will take back what belongs to me." After saying that, Yilan quickly jumped into the flowers and disappeared into the darkness.
"Are you okay?" Quint reached out and helped me up before I recovered from my panic.
"Um!"
After standing firm, I unconsciously grabbed my collar, fearing that Yilan would suddenly appear again.
"I'm sorry to make you laugh, I hope you don't mind. Yilan is always particularly paranoid about the people or things he cares about." Quint apologized politely. Although he always gives people a humble feeling, I don't know why, I always feel that he is more , making people confused and unable to guess his thoughts.
"Is there any grudge between Ino and Yilan?" I asked curiously after taking a deep breath to calm my panicked heartbeat. My intuition told me that there were many secrets between them that I didn't know.
"Don't ask so many questions. You will know when the time is right. But before that, you have to promise me that you will not let Ino know about Yilan's existence, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous."
"Why?" I was even more puzzled. Why couldn't Ino know that he had a twin brother? Don't twins grow up together? How could Ino not know about Yilan's existence?
"Anyway, just promise me! You also want Ino to be happy, don't you?" Quint looked at me solemnly and said.
"Okay!" I sighed helplessly.
If the innocent Ino knew that he had a younger brother who hated him, he would definitely be sad.
