Chapter 2 Interweaving of Light and Shadow 1
I held my chin with one hand and looked out the window at the gray sky. When I got up early this morning, it was drizzling. Maybe it was because of the weather, my mood, which was not very good to begin with, became even more depressed. When I came to school and saw Ino lying listlessly on the desk, I became even more depressed.
Why did Ino look so haggard? He didn't pay much attention to me, or rather, he didn't pay much attention to anyone. Seeing those girls who tried to please him get rejected, I couldn't help but feel uneasy.
Is he angry with me? That's right, he was kind enough to save me, but I blamed him for killing those hooligans. If it were me, I would definitely feel that my kindness was taken for granted.
No matter what, it is a fact that he saved me , and I should at least thank him in person. If he still refuses to forgive me, then there is nothing I can do.
After making up my mind, I mustered up my courage, stood up and walked towards Ino's seat. If he ignored me later, wouldn't I be embarrassed?
The closer I got to Ino, the faster my heartbeat became, and the ambiguous scene from last night suddenly popped into my mind.
"Um..." I stood in front of Ino shyly, lowered my head, and fiddled with my fingers.
Now my face must be as hot as a crab just out of the oven.
"Xiao Qian!" Ino slowly raised his head and looked at me, forced a smile, and buried his head in his arms again.
He really doesn't want to pay attention to me!
"Um... Mr. Ino, thank you for what happened last night!" I thanked him hesitantly, bowed, and didn't dare to look at him.
"Hmm?" Ino raised his head lazily and looked at me in confusion, "What happened last night?"
Oh, you are really mad at me! You are asking even though you know the answer!
"You saved me in the park, but I still blamed you. It was my fault. Please don't mind it. Also, thank you for rescuing me!" I said blushing, and couldn't help but reach out and touch my neck, trying to erase the mark he left on my neck.
I guess it's a psychological effect. Every time I saw Ino today, my neck started to itch, as if hundreds of ants were dancing on it.
"What are you talking about?" Ino frowned tightly and said, "I went to bed early last night and had a strange dream. You also had a strange dream, and you dreamed of me?" At the end, Ino, who was originally listless, suddenly became energetic.
I rolled my eyes unconsciously. Isn't Ino's thinking too jumpy?
But he was willing to pay attention to me.
I sighed silently and sat down in the seat opposite Ino.
"What strange dream did you have last night?" I asked curiously. I couldn't bear to see the handsome boy looking depressed because of the strange dream!
"I can't explain it clearly. It was very painful anyway. I kept struggling, but it was no use . In the end, I didn't know what was swallowing me up bit by bit." Ino frowned, looking aggrieved, like a husky that was tied up and lost its freedom, with sadness written all over his face.
I couldn't help but frown. In fact, this was just a very common dream. Sometimes I have some strange dreams when I am under great pressure from studying. But for some reason, a voice in my heart quietly told me that this was not just a strange dream.
"Forget it! It's just a dream, don't think about it!" I smiled and held Ino's face, like coaxing a child who was playing tricks because he couldn't get candy, trying to change the subject, "Your lunch is so rich!"
Looking at Ino's desk filled with all kinds of high-end dishes, and then looking at my own pitiful lunch box, I suddenly felt ashamed. The life of a noble young master is so different from that of a commoner like us!
"Yeah!" Ino nodded disapprovingly.
He is indeed a willful young master!
"Then let's have lunch together! If we don't eat now, the food will get cold! Don't waste food, dear baby!"
I smiled at Ino and took out my lunch box.
Although my lunch boxes are not as high-end as others, they are all made with love by my mother!
I opened the lunch box. Ino, who was originally listless, took a deep breath, swallowed his saliva and looked at the salt and pepper spare ribs in the lunch box.
"Hey, Xiao Qian, how about we exchange lunches?"
Ino put on an attentive and ingratiating expression, his eyes blinking rhythmically, and I seemed to see a greedy Husky wagging its tail at me.
“…”
"Hey, then I won't be polite!" He didn't even give me a chance to speak. He directly snatched my lunch box and started to eat it.
Looking at Ino who was eating contentedly in front of me, with a grain of white rice stuck on his face, I felt so filled with something in my heart.
"Okay! Eat slowly and don't choke!" I shook my head helplessly and unconsciously reached out to wipe the rice grains off his face.
How can one not feel pity for such an innocent and beautiful boy?
"Xiao Qian's bento is the most delicious ." Ino said with a smile, snatched the rice from my hand that I wanted to throw away, and threw it directly into his mouth, "You said that a good baby will not waste food."
I smiled with relief.
My vanity instantly overwhelmed me, and I patted my chest and said, "If you like it, I will bring you lunch every day from now on!"
It's so rare that such a handsome boy is so fond of my lunch. I would be willing to take care of him for the rest of his life!
"Really? I knew Xiao Qian was the best." Hearing this, Ino said excitedly and winked at me, which instantly electrocuted me.
When I came to my senses, I realized that I had been fooled. What a big promise I made!
However, looking at Ino who was eating happily, I seemed to see colorful bubbles popping out from behind him one after another. The originally gray sky suddenly cleared up, and a beautiful rainbow spanned behind him. Ino was the dazzling sun, emitting a heart-warming light.
I am willing to be defeated by such a beautiful boy!
