Chapter 2 I don’t want to hurt her, nor do I want to be hurt! two
The air in Australia is so fresh. I took a deep breath, looked at the blue sky and exclaimed, "It's so beautiful!" In front of me were many blond and blue-eyed handsome men and beautiful women walking around, which was very pleasing to the eyes. I dragged my suitcase out of the airport in a good mood, hailed a taxi, and went straight to my great-grandfather's residence.
The taxi driver was very enthusiastic and kept chatting with me about the customs and culture of Australia along the way. I took out my cell phone and saw many missed calls from Xuan Yixin. In order to prevent him from affecting my mood, I turned off my phone again.
The taxi stopped in front of a villa. I looked at the blue and white villa, opened my arms, and ran over with my suitcase like a child.
"Open the door, open the door!" I shouted to the smart doorbell on the villa door.
"Yes, Miss, Miss is back!" Nanny Linda's voice was full of joy.
"Yes, I'm back!" I replied with a smile.
When I walked into the villa, what I saw was a large garden with various flowers and plants, and a white swing. This is the memory of my childhood!
"Xiao Ya, why did you come back suddenly!" The great grandfather came out with a happy face. Although he was in his seventies, he was still in good health. He was wearing a simple white Tang suit and his white hair was combed meticulously.
"Great Grandpa!" I threw myself into his arms and gave him a kiss on his wrinkled face. "I miss you so much, Great Grandpa. I'm back." I said coquettishly.
"You girl, you didn't even tell me you were coming back. It would have been better if you let your great grandfather send someone to pick you up. Luo Yin is the same. He only listens to you and doesn't care about me." Great grandfather touched my head, his tone full of doting.
"Aren't I doing this to give you a surprise, Great Grandpa?" I helped Great Grandpa walk into the room. Nothing had changed here, everything was so familiar.
"Girl, have you only thought about playing games in China?" Great-grandfather sat down on the sofa, looked at me and asked with a smile, while instructing Linda to prepare tea and pastries for me.
"No, I know my limits." I said obediently.
"Miss, here is your favorite black tea and your favorite cakes." Linda quickly brought the tea and food I liked. She looked at me like a child and said, "Miss, your home is lively now that you are back. The old man talks about you all the time and often asks me to prepare your favorite food."
My eyes were sore and I sat down next to my great grandfather. He must have missed me a lot when I was not at home. He is so old now and I should spend more time with him. "Great grandfather, I will stay with you for a few more days when I come back this time."
"Okay, as long as you don't find it boring. Grandpa is old, and what he wants most is to see that you have someone to rely on."
"Grandpa, I'm still young, what are you talking about!" I pouted and interrupted him, then picked up a piece of cake and stuffed it into his mouth, "Grandpa, eat with me."
The days at my great grandfather's house were leisurely and comfortable. I also lived the life of a noble lady. I had everything I wanted. I played the piano and the swing when I had nothing to do, or read books with my great grandfather in the study. It seemed that such days away from online games were not too difficult. Whenever I read, I couldn't help but think of Xuan Yixin, the person who loved reading. I wonder how she is doing now?
"Girl, what are you daydreaming about?" Great grandfather asked me as he sat in the rocking chair and looked at me as he swayed from side to side.
I turned around and smiled at the sunshine: "Nothing, I was just thinking about the scenery described in the book. It's so beautiful."
I saw some tiny dust particles flying in the sunlight, and everything seemed to go back to my childhood.
"Girl, it's time for you to do some work." Great grandfather looked at me and asked with a smile.
"What kind of work do you do?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.
"Go to the farm with Grandpa this afternoon to learn how to make wine. Now is a good season for making wine." Grandpa sat up from his chair and straightened his clothes. "You will take over everything one day sooner or later. Don't really think that you can do nothing."
"Winemaking! That's what interests me the most!" I shouted excitedly. I like the wine brewed at home the most. It's sweet and fragrant, and it can also beautify and nourish the skin.
After lunch, I urged my great-grandfather to take me to the farm. We took a car to the farm in the suburbs, where large tracts of grapes were planted. The winemaking area was behind the vineyards. As soon as we entered, we could smell the strong smell of fermenting grapes. There were many oak barrels placed in the aisle.
My great-grandfather put on his work clothes and first told me about the types of grapes. He asked me to select the picked grapes with the workers, and then put the selected grapes into the machine for pressing and other processing. When we were busy, we suddenly heard an alarm.
"Everyone stay calm!" Great Grandfather straightened up and shouted, blocking me behind him, "I'll go out and take a look, you stay here."
"No, I want to go with you." I said, grabbing my great-grandfather's arm.
"You kid!" Great-grandfather shook his head and asked me to follow him out of the wine-making workshop.
"Catch that man, don't let him run away!" As soon as I went out, I heard a familiar voice, and then a group of people were chasing a man wearing a blue turban, while the farm security guards surrounded another man in a black suit.
"We have no ill intentions, we just want to catch the person who is running away!" the man surrounded by security guards continued.
"A group of Chinese suddenly broke in and said they wanted to arrest someone. Now we have them under control," the man answered respectfully.
"Please forgive our rudeness, we did not mean to offend." A pleasant male voice came over, it was really... so familiar!
I couldn't help but look at the person who was speaking, and immediately covered my mouth in astonishment. Sure enough, it was Xuan Yixin! But his outfit was completely different from before, wearing a black suit and a solemn expression.
"Old man, I...Xiaoya? Why are you here!" Xuan Yixin obviously saw me as well. He rushed up to me and asked me excitedly while looking at me.
I shrank behind my great-grandfather, lowered my head and my cheeks flushed. After all, I left without saying goodbye, and I couldn't help feeling guilty at this moment: "I... Of course I can stay here. This is my great-grandfather's winery." I whispered.
"Xiao Ya, do you know each other?" Great grandfather frowned and looked at me and asked.
"Well, we are classmates, and I think there must be some misunderstanding here." I said to my great-grandfather.
Great grandfather waved his hand, and the group of security guards immediately dispersed.
Several people dressed in black gathered behind Xuan Yixin. Xuan Yixin turned around and said calmly, "All of you get out. This is my friend's place."
"Master, we caught him." Another group of people grabbed the man wearing a blue turban and came to report to Xuan Yixin.
"Take him back to the hotel first." Xuan Yixin glared at the man. His expression was very fierce, a look I had never seen before. I suddenly felt that Xuan Yixin like this was very strange.
"Grandpa, I'm so sorry!" When Xuan Yixin turned around, his face was full of guilt and he bent down deeply.
"Hey, why are you calling him great-grandfather? He is my great-grandfather, not yours." I retorted with a pout, my heart filled with anxiety.
"Girl, why are you so rude? Since I'm your friend, what's wrong with calling me great-grandfather? Do you know what is the name of this classmate?" Great-grandfather touched the back of my hand and said with a smile.
"Great Grandpa, my name is Xuan Yixin. Xiaoya and I are not only classmates, but also very good friends. I don't know why Xiaoya suddenly dropped out of school, but, to be honest, I came here for a personal matter, and I didn't know I would meet Xiaoya here. Xiaoya, why did you suddenly leave without saying goodbye?" Xuan Yixin's expression was very sincere, and his tone was a little sad, as if I had abandoned him. Finally, his pair of eyes as bright as stars looked at me pitifully, as if waiting for my answer.
"Well, it's getting late. We should go home." I blinked and decided to change the subject.
"You are a guest from afar. If Yixin doesn't have anything important to do, how about having dinner at my house together?" The great grandfather looked at Xuan Yixin lovingly and said.
"Thank you, Grandpa. I'm so flattered!" Xuan Yixin looked very happy.
No! I wailed in my heart. Meeting each other was awkward enough, and we had to eat together! Great grandfather must have misunderstood something!
