Chapter 180 Teach Her a Lesson
When Heizi and Chu Yonggen met, Qu Bai had just finished watering the hydrangeas in the garden.
Ade walked over with a towel: "Sir, it's time to go."
"Um."
Qu Bai took the towel to wipe his hands, and Ade handed him some water and medicine. Qu Bai glanced at them, then raised his head and drank them.
The person he was going to meet was Old K.
The lights were just coming on and the car was driving on the road. Qu Bai was silent all the way until his cell phone rang.
He picked it up and took a look at it, his eyes turned cold, and when he put the phone down, he moved his wrist and unbuttoned his collar.
The car finally stopped at another private estate, and Qu Bai took off the ring on his index finger before getting out of the car.
He stared at the door in front of him, and there was a long-lost fierceness in his smile, as if this was his true self.
The door slowly opened, and someone came out and called him, "Third Brother."
Qu Bai walked in, threw his phone over, and raised his hands to wait for inspection.
The other party smiled and returned the phone to him respectfully: "The boss said, Third Brother, you are home when you come here, no one needs to be checked, not you."
Qu Bai looked at one of the cameras with a cold smile.
Ade carried out the inspection in a proper manner and stood next to Qu Bai.
The man who had just spoken said flatteringly: "Third brother, the boss said that he wants you to meet him alone."
"Where is the fox?" Qu Bai asked.
"With the boss."
Qu Bai walked straight forward and said to Ade before leaving: "Go get me something to eat, I'm hungry."
Ade agreed and left in the opposite direction.
The man who opened the door walked with him for a while. When he saw someone coming out from inside, he nodded and bowed, said a few words, and then left.
Unless he gets the message from inside, he is not qualified to enter.
"How is he?" Qu Bai asked.
The scorpion looked ahead, not seeming to be familiar with him. "It was a bit of a fuss, and he was a little angry, but the fox should have calmed down by now."
Qu Bai's mouth twitched slightly, no wonder.
"Wait for me when you're done." Qu Bai said before going in, "I have something to say."
"Hmm," said the Scorpion.
The two of them didn't say anything else. They entered the main control building and walked all the way to the top floor where Old K was.
The scorpion stopped at the door and did not go in.
Qu Bai straightened his clothes, loosened his collar, pushed the door open and went in.
Old K was sitting on the sofa, facing the direction where Qu Bai came in.
He was probably in his sixties, with gray hair, and was wearing a white training suit and a pair of black cloth shoes.
He was definitely an old man with extraordinary appearance. At first glance, you would only feel that he was kind and benevolent, like an old professor who had finally retired after teaching for many years, or like an ordinary old man with grandchildren around him, enjoying the happiness of family.
It was a very deceptive, seemingly kind face.
Below him, Chi Xiao was sitting on a cushion.
She has changed her style in the past two days, with light makeup and simple clothes. She looks plain and her movements are smooth.
When Qu Bai came in, she had just made the first cup of tea.
One cup was handed to the man at the top with both hands, and the other cup was placed opposite him at the same level.
That is the seat that only Qu Bai can sit on.
Qu Bai came in with a stern face, looking straight at Chi Xiao. He walked over and stopped, pointing at Chi Xiao: "Come here."
Old K looked at him with interest but smiled without saying anything.
Chi Xiao raised his head and looked over with an inquiring look, a hint of reluctance on his face.
Old K just looked at Qu Bai and said, "Go ahead. The third one is calling you."
Chi Xiao secretly swallowed a breath. Her injuries had not healed yet and she walked a little slowly.
Just as she walked out of the sofa, Qu Bai threw his coat onto the sofa and immediately punched her with murderous intent.
Chi Xiao was caught off guard and stepped back instinctively.
"Qu Bai, are you crazy ?" She shouted, but had to defuse Qu Bai's attack: "Do you know where this is?"
Chi Xiao never expected that Qu Bai would attack him in front of Old K.
"Who's crazy?"
Considering her injury, Qu Bai only used one hand to attack her, but he pressed on: "Do you know how the public opinion online has developed? Do you know how many people the police have dispatched? Do you know how many lines we have cut because of your recklessness?"
"What were you doing in Yuji? Do you think I don't know? You're not even sure whether Tu Guolin and Tu Guoan have swapped identities, and you're trying to stir up trouble when you're not sure. You're not even good enough. You clearly know who Luo Xun and Chi Xia are, yet you still want to provoke them!"
Qu Bai mercilessly cut off one of her arms: "You failed to assassinate me once, and you want to do it a second time. If either Luo Xun or Chi Xia died in the explosion, have you thought about the consequences?!"
He kicked Chi Xiao down, and he knelt on one knee: "Chi Xiao, when will you change your arrogant temper? It's not time to declare war yet. You provoke me and test me again and again. I give in step by step and tolerate everything. This is not your capital to do whatever you want!"
"Do you know where this is?"
Chi Xiao was finally irritated by him, and pulled out the knife from his waist and threw it out, without considering any feelings at all: "Qu Bai, I was a little impulsive, but you ran to Yu Ji, what was your purpose?"
"Idiot, I'm going to wipe your ass for you, what do you think?" Qu Bai dodged her knife, but two of them still grazed Qu Bai's arms.
It was not until this time that Old K stood up with the help of crutches.
He turned around and saw Chi Xiao and Qu Bai were both looking at him.
The woman was angry and unwilling, while the man was calm.
He smiled, pulled out a gun, and pointed it at them: "Are you done?"
Chi Xiao was shocked. She realized that this man was angry. She had worked hard to coax him for two days, but now he didn't recognize her.
Qu Bai, however, looked indifferent. He lowered his head and slowly adjusted his sleeves, revealing the scars on his palms and arms.
He even let out an impolite, sarcastic laugh at this time.
The gun that was originally leaning towards him was suddenly pointed at Chi Xiao. She was startled again, but when she saw the man's face, her fear of his rules seemed to be engraved in her bones.
"Xiao, I didn't say anything and this matter just let it go." The bullet hit Chi Xiao's shoulder. She fell to the side, not daring to make a sound.
Another shot, this time hitting her calf, the man's voice sounded very kind: "You have been a little impulsive recently, take it easy."
He lowered the gun and clapped his hands.
While waiting, he said, "Yuji, I asked the third brother to go."
Chi Xiao's eyes were filled with horror. She recalled some of the things she had said when she was coaxing him. At this moment, it was like a slap in her face.
Soon someone came in dragging a half-dead person. They dragged the person, blood all the way, and threw him in front of Chi Xiao.
The bloody man was the one who had fought with Chi Xia and Luo Xun in the inn.
Qu Bai only took a glance and then looked away.
"Xiao."
The man walked over, looking down at her, and held up Chi Xiao's face with his cane: "It's natural for girls to be petty, but you shouldn't disrupt my plan."
Chi Xiao was forced to look at the man.
"I've taught you that a long time ago," he said disappointedly, "Don't let your emotions get the better of you. You never listen."
"Father..." she said, "You know, I..."
Old K shook his head and gently touched her mouth with his cane: "This is not the child I like. After so many years, why can't you learn it?"
Old K sighed and glanced at Qu Bai: "Go pack up, I've prepared clothes for you."
Qu Bai didn't respond and walked away without looking back.
After Qu Bai left, Chi Xiao endured the pain all over her body. She said humiliatingly and aggrievedly: "Father, that's Chi Xia, you..."
"That's none of your business."
Old K's voice cooled down: "At this point, it doesn't matter who she is or who Qu Bai is."
"Why?"
The man laughed: "Qu Bai and her have been two different people for a long time."
"You are still not as good as her." Old K shook his head: "A substitute wants too much."
At this moment, Chi Xiao finally realized that in the eyes of the man in front of her, she would never be able to compare to Qu Bai and Chi Xia.
Even though she once worshipped this man devoutly, regarded him as her lifelong goal, and tried hard to get into his sight, she was still no match for the two people who were so determined to betray and leave him.
She closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face, and thought, look how despicable human beings are.
People who are deeply in love don't want to be together, they have to run into walls and suffer.
Those who are loyal and devoted are not wanted, those who insist on escaping and those who insist on betraying are not wanted.
Let things take their natural course. People don't want to force things, or insist on not believing in evil.
But, isn't she the same?
