Chapter 169 This guest is not normal
Heath didn't notice what his three Pokémon were doing. He was frowning at the man in front of him. The man was very ordinary. Although not very handsome, he was very attractive. The sleepiness on his face showed that he was a man who had just finished work or just woke up.
However, none of these attracted Heath's attention. The only thing that concerned Heath was this guy's head. His head, like the heads of other people, had two letter frames growing on it. Heath knew what these were. They were small things that allowed him to distinguish the flavors that the guests liked.
But now, the top of this man's head, whether it is the taste he likes or the taste he hates, is completely blank, just like two blank slates. This is not normal.
Generally speaking, even the most non-picky eaters have certain preferences, just like some people like to eat hot and sour food, while some people feel like they are going to die if they eat a little bit of spicy food. Everyone's taste is different, which is why it is difficult to satisfy everyone. A qualified chef needs to correct these problems.
But no matter how picky a customer is, there must be a taste that he likes or dislikes, right? But the man in front of him really didn't have any at all. His mind was completely blank. Heath knew that this meant "no".
There were no favorite or disliked tastes. Since there were none, there was no way to display them on the whiteboard. It could only be displayed blankly, making Heath understand how difficult this man was.
Heath also understood why a temporary task was triggered just now. Since Heath obtained the Chef's Eye, he has never found any customer who has absolutely no likes or dislikes in taste. This is the first time, so Heath felt he needed to figure out why this man was like this, otherwise this temporary task might not be completed.
Who knows if this temporary task was sudden or one-time. If it was a one-time task, Heath would never forgive himself. That was a lava eel. It was basically certain that the lava eel was a rare ingredient that could be included in the gourmet encyclopedia. Heath was very curious about what was so special .
But the prerequisite is that Heath must be able to satisfy this man.
"Fried rice with egg, right? OK, I get it. But do you have any flavor requirements, sir? Or any dietary restrictions?" This was the first time Heath asked a question like this after he had mastered the chef's eye.
"Taste? I don't have any taste requirements. As long as I'm full, I don't have any food taboos." The man didn't seem to have any desire to talk. He sat at the table and chair provided by Heath, then lowered his head and didn't know what he was doing.
Heath's mouth twitched. There was actually nothing wrong with this kind of customer's attitude. Heath also liked this kind of customer who had no dietary restrictions and no taste requirements. It meant he could give full play to his talents. But the problem was that this customer was very special. Heath needed to understand what kind of taste he liked. Only in this way could Heath make a dish that would satisfy him.
Heath frowned, then he opened the cabinet, took out a piece of chewing gum, put it in his mouth and chewed it. When he was almost done chewing, Heath spoke.
"Dear guest, are you sure you don't have a favorite flavor or any special request? You can tell me." Heath said with a smile. The effect of the chewing gum was very strong, making it more likely that others would believe what he said.
But this is probabilistic, Heath is a little nervous. If it fails, he can only ask again in a tactful way.
"I really don't have any favorite flavors, nor do I have any disliked flavors. I have taste bud disorder and cannot distinguish the taste of food." The man's eyes were dazed for a moment, and then he answered helplessly. Heath was stunned for a moment and forgot to chew the gum in his mouth.
Taste bud disorder? This was the first time Heath had heard of this strange name of a disease. If it weren't for the fact that the man's expression didn't look fake, Heath would have suspected that the man was teasing him on purpose.
Heath fell silent. If the customer said that his favorite flavor was a mixture of various flavors, Heath would not be too embarrassed. Even if the customer liked bitter taste, Heath would not be embarrassed. After all, as long as there was a favorite flavor, Heath could always make it. But...
Taste bud disorder made Heath a little confused. After checking his phone, Heath found out that this disease would cause people to lose their sense of taste. That is, no matter whether it was salty or sweet, this man would have no feeling for it, so naturally there would be no favorite taste.
Heath thought of spicy food. Although many people think that spicy food is a taste, it is actually not a taste but a pain. If it is just the loss of taste buds, shouldn’t you like spicy food?
Heath asked again, and maybe Heath was lucky today, he succeeded this time.
"I don't have any feeling for peppers. Eating too much will only give me a stomachache." The man gave an incredible answer. Heath was now completely a Muggle. He had no sense of taste and no feeling for peppers. Was he a human? Heath wanted to ask the other party if he wanted to drink motor oil. He could buy him a bottle and let him return to Cybertron as soon as possible.
"What a dilemma..." Heath spat out the chewing gum. No wonder he could trigger special tasks. This man was simply hell for a chef. To him, eating was probably just to fill his stomach, so he didn't need to care about the taste at all, right?
Heath frowned, lost in thought.
Heath remembered watching an anime called The Cooking Master Boy. In the anime, there was a guest who had eaten too much delicious food and was so sick of it that he almost had no taste buds. He ate only to fill his stomach. Then the Cooking Master Boy did something and won.
But this guest is different from that one. This guest has no sense of taste and can't feel anything when eating chili peppers. Heath can't possibly drag him to the hospital for treatment and wait until he's cured before eating again, right ?
"If your sense of taste is not good, then we have to try another method." Heath shook his head. This was the first time he had seen such a unique guest. Now Heath no longer cared about any reward. He just wanted this guest to have a 'delicious' fried rice with egg.
However, the production process of this egg fried rice still needs careful consideration. Heath has some ideas, but these ideas are not very mature yet. Heath is not sure whether this idea can succeed, but it is much better than not trying.
Heath twisted his neck and said, "Let's go ahead."
