Chapter 15 Substantive Relationship
There was no light in the room. Kong Nanzhu had already adapted to this dark environment. As she got closer, she saw Qin Qi's frowned brows and his hesitant expression.
"You mean, if you can accept me acting opposite other actresses, even intimate scenes, without any obstacles, then I should also understand you live-broadcasting with other male anchors, right?"
Kong Nanzhu felt that what he said was a little strange, but there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it.
"This is not an equal exchange. I just hope you can support me in making changes." Kong Nanzhu said sincerely.
Who could have known how uncomfortable she felt when she watched the emotional scenes between Qin Qi and other actresses? Even though she knew it was just acting, she would still watch those clips over and over again like a self-torturing person, worried about the outcome, and then hope that one day she could also become the heroine of Qin Qi's emotional story.
Now she seems to have succeeded, but it also seems like she is still a long way from success.
She never dared to tell anyone about this feeling, not even in front of Qin's father and mother.
Qin Qi was finally allowed to act in romantic scenes after she turned 20. If this matter became something that Shen Jun banned again because of her objection, Qin Qi would definitely hate herself.
Qin Qi's silence responded to Kong Nanzhu.
Qin Qi clenched his hands into fists under the quilt, but unfortunately Kong Nanzhu couldn't see it.
Of course it's not an equal exchange. She won't be jealous, won't be envious, and won't feel sad because she has something with others.
But he will.
Change?
Qin Qi lowered his eyes unconsciously, revealing a hint of bitterness where Kong Nanzhu couldn't see .
There was no change. Kong Nanzhu was still the calm Kong Nanzhu.
He suddenly felt that his shameless behavior of arranging Xiao Liu to go to the convenience store to buy family planning products for him during the day was very ridiculous .
He thought that this woman had finally come to her senses and was no longer just a puppet controlled by Qin Hehai and Shen Jun's wishes, but had her own thoughts and opinions.
Now it seems that she does have her own ideas and opinions, but she still rationally draws a line between her and him, like a bystander in their relationship, and analyzes with him the truth that work and life need to be separated.
Qin Qi suppressed the desire that was clamoring in his heart. He wanted to order Kong Nanzhu to stop associating with that sensational man. He did not accept the so-called "work needs" as an excuse. He could not tolerate his wife being called "sister" by another young boy.
Qin Qi felt that his territory was being invaded.
Only he can call Kong Nanzhu "sister", no one else can.
But he was also afraid that what he said would bring the relationship between the two people, which had just started to improve, back to freezing point.
Qin Qi used reason to tell himself not to rush and to take it slow.
It seems that they are not suitable for having a substantive husband-and-wife relationship now.
Qin Qi lay down again, his magnetic voice slightly hoarse, "Well, I understand."
Kong Nanzhu stood beside the bed in a daze.
It looked like they wouldn't have any other stories tonight.
Kong Nanzhu walked around to the end of the bed, climbed onto it, and quietly got into the quilt. They were back to the state they were in on the first night after getting their marriage certificate, and the distance between them seemed to be separated by the Great Rift Valley of East Africa.
In the following days, Qin Qi went out early and came back late. He was busy with classes during the day and closed the door to study the script of the new play after returning at night. Kong Nanzhu insisted on getting up in the morning to make breakfast by herself. The two of them were mostly silent while eating. Occasionally, they had a few words of conversation, and Kong Nanzhu asked questions and Qin Qi answered with very simple words.
Kong Nanzhu regretted it very much. She should have said a few soft words to comfort him that night, but unfortunately she missed the opportunity and it was too difficult for her to speak again.
Until the day before Qin Qi joined the group, Kong Nanzhu squatted in the cloakroom to help him pack his luggage.
Qin Qi watched her carefully fold each piece of clothing and put it into the suitcase, with her knees touching the ground. Because she had been doing this for so long, she was trembling slightly and had to switch sides to relieve the numbness in her legs. He stopped her and said, "I can pack it myself. There's no need to take so many clothes."
"I'll do it. You don't know how long it will take you to finish it by yourself. It's almost twelve o'clock. They will come to pick you up at six o'clock tomorrow. Go to bed quickly."
Kong Nanzhu ended the live broadcast early and specially set aside time to help him pack his suitcase, in order to ease the relationship between the two before Qin Qi left.
Qin Qi has been in the crew for at least one month, and at most three or four months, and there are other schedules in between. If they separate with a knot in their hearts, it is hard to say whether their marriage can continue smoothly.
Kong Nanzhu used a storage bag to pack each set of clothes together so that Qin Qi could wear them directly.
Qin Qi's own clothes almost filled up the 30-square-meter dressing room. Before making the selection, Kong Nanzhu specifically asked Zhang Di about Qin Qi's schedule for the next half month and picked out a few outfits suitable for the occasion.
Qin Qi looked at her working hard around his suitcase, and his eyes softened unconsciously.
From childhood to adulthood, Kong Nanzhu was the only woman who had ever packed his suitcase for him.
Before every high school term, Kong Nanzhu would squat on the ground like this to help him pack his luggage. Ms. Shen Jun was so busy that she was nowhere to be seen, so Kong Nanzhu naturally took on these daily matters.
After filling up two large 26-inch suitcases, Kong Nanzhu's ankles were sore from exhaustion. She returned to the room and found Qin Qi still sitting at the head of the bed with the script in his arms. He turned off the ceiling light when he saw her come in, leaving a dim night light on at the head of the bed to guide her, as if he was waiting for her.
Kong Nanzhu crawled into the quilt, and Qin Qi immediately turned sideways to face her. He stretched out his hand, wrapped his warm palm around her knees, and his powerful fingers slowly kneaded her slightly sore muscles.
The skin he touched seemed to be electrified, and Kong Nanzhu felt a tingling sensation.
Qin Qi sensed her intention to dodge, and grabbed her calf forcefully, pulling her legs directly onto himself, and slowly loosened them for her with his hands, "You've been squatting for so long, your knees are all rubbed red."
Kong Nanzhu felt warm in her heart and gradually relaxed, but her hands remained at her side, pulling at the hem of her nightgown to prevent it from sliding up.
It seems that Qin Qi has calmed down.
Qin Qi closed his eyes and lay flat on his back. "Are you afraid of exposing yourself? It's not like you haven't seen it before."
As he spoke, his fingers moved a few centimeters upwards along Kong Nanzhu's knee.
Kong Nanzhu immediately retracted her legs, and without waiting for Qin Qi to speak, she leaned forward and hugged Qin Qi's arm, then gave him a light kiss on the face.
"Good night."
Hurry, save some tender and intimate memories before he joins the group.
I finally made up for what I owed him.
Qin Qi suddenly opened his eyes and turned his head to look at the creamy white and tender skin exposed at the neckline of her nightgown, which was covered with a layer of seductive hue in the darkness.
This thing holds my arm and feels quite soft.
"I won't go back to Beijing in the next half month." Qin Qi moved a little distance away from her and lifted the quilt a little awkwardly.
Kong Nanzhu was indeed tired, and her eyes were a little hard to open. She ignored his little movements and whispered softly, "I know you won't be back until sixteen days later to shoot endorsement materials. Can you stay a few more days?"
Qin Qi knew that she was asking about Zhang Di's schedule. Now that he heard her calculate it so clearly, he couldn't help but smile. "No."
Expected answer.
Kong Nanzhu closed his eyes and nodded, "Then I'll wait for you at home."
Qin Qi looked at her peaceful profile and gently pushed away the loose hair that covered her eyes.
Home.
What beautiful words.
At this moment, she had no fake smile, no makeup, and was as well-behaved as a pure and innocent baby.
Waiting for you at home, what a beautiful sentence.
"You can find me on the set."
Kong Nanzhu was almost falling asleep, but was woken up by his words.
"Can I go to the crew?"
Xu Qingqing had also suggested this and begged him to take her along if there was a chance. Kong Nanzhu really hadn't even dared to think about it. She and Qin Qi were in a secret marriage, and what would she do if someone found out?
Qin Qi guessed her thoughts and whispered, "I have called you sister for so many years. It is normal for a sister to visit her brother on the set."
Kong Nanzhu couldn't help but start imagining the scene of visiting Qin Qi on the set. She had never visited the set once in all these years.
Ms. Shen Jun went there twice, but later she heard that the mother and son had a big fight on the set and left unhappily . After that, Qin Qi never allowed his family to visit him on set again.
Kong Nanzhu was so excited that she couldn't sleep all night. When she got up with dark circles under her eyes to see Qin Qi off, Xiao Liu could see at a glance that she looked haggard. Then, looking at her boss who looked energetic, he smiled meaningfully.
When he got back to the car, he leaned over to Qin Qi's ear and asked, "Teacher Qin, are three boxes too few?"
Qin Qi: “…”
It was of no use.
