Guanyin nodded slightly and continued walking along the bamboo path. After turning a corner, the view in front of her suddenly opened up and a lotus pond came into view.
This lotus pond is built with the seven treasures of Buddhism: gold, silver, crystal, lapis lazuli, coral, amber and giant clam, and is named the "Seven Treasures Pond".
Also, because the pool water is the water of eight concentrations, it has eight kinds of freedom merits, eight kinds of happiness merits and eight kinds of subtle and inconceivable merits, and it is also called the "Pond of Eight Merits".
The golden lotus in the pond swayed, emitting colorful mist and dazzling brilliance. It was the Ninth Grade Golden Lotus of Merit, the most precious treasure of Buddhism that suppressed destiny.
This ninth-grade golden lotus of merit was originally of the twelfth grade, but because during the catastrophe of the Conferred Gods, the Saint Jie Yin developed desires and wanted to forcibly convert the Holy Mother Turtle Spirit, which led to "water overflowing and the moon waning".
The blood-winged black mosquito, the ferocious beast of Hongmeng that he had suppressed in the package, took the opportunity to escape. It not only ate the Turtle Spirit Mother into an empty shell, but also sucked up three of the twelve-grade golden lotus of merit, leaving only the ninth-grade golden lotus.
It is also because of this that the foundation of Western religion was shaken, and it could only transform into a monk and be renamed "Buddhism".
The Ninth Grade Golden Lotus of Merit is connected with the fortune of Buddhism. The stronger the fortune, the brighter the golden lotus will bloom.
Today, of the nine lotus flowers in the Eight Merits Pond, five have fully bloomed, three are about to bloom, and one is still in bud.
Just as Buddhism had already risen at this time, but had not yet reached its peak or flourished completely.
When Guanyin arrived, Tathagata was standing by the pond with deep eyes, as if he was admiring the lotus in the pond, or as if he was looking through the lotus at something more.
Guanyin stepped forward and bowed, saying, "World Honored One."
Tathagata retracted his gaze and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Venerable."
Guanyin said hurriedly: "This is what a disciple should do, it doesn't deserve the word hard work."
Tathagata asked, "How was this trip?"
Guanyin recounted what happened in Chechi Kingdom and said, "I see that Sun Wukong's devotion to Buddha is not strong enough and he may regret it."
The Buddha said, "That monkey has a rebellious mind and doesn't want to be controlled by others. Five hundred years under the Five Elements Mountain can only frighten him temporarily. His heart has not changed, his nature has not changed, so it is reasonable for him to have such thoughts."
Guanyin was a little worried: "The journey to the West to obtain the scriptures is related to the prosperity of our Buddhism. If Sun Wukong gives up halfway, it will definitely ruin our Buddhism."
Tathagata nodded slightly to show his agreement and said, "Although the monkey has regrets, he may not give up halfway. He was born and raised by nature, without a father, mother, brothers or sisters, but because of this, he values friendship and remembers kindness. Xuanzang has a master-disciple relationship with him and helped him out of trouble, so he will not abandon him easily."
Guanyin hesitated: "Buddha, is it inappropriate to rely on a demon monkey to determine the fate of our Buddhist sect?"
The Tathagata said, "Your concern is not without reason. I have other plans for this matter."
Seeing Guanyin's questioning expression, Tathagata kept it a secret: "Please wait a moment, Venerable."
Guanyin stopped talking and stood quietly aside, wondering in her heart who it could be?
When she came, Kashyapa and Ananda were waiting at the gate of the Leiyin Temple.
When she came in, only Kasyapa led the way.
Ananda still stayed at the door, obviously waiting for someone.

But after a while, footsteps were heard and a middle-aged man in a black robe, with a short beard and half bald hair walked in.

Tathagata asked: "Ainava, can you do what I ask you to do?"
Ainafa nodded and waved his right hand. A golden light flashed and a figure wearing a black robe and a black hood appeared in front of the three people.

Ainafa waved his hand again, and the black robe and black hood disappeared, revealing the man's true face.
Guanyin's pupils suddenly shrank and she was shocked.
The man had a thunder god's mouth, a crooked face, flaming eyes, a golden hoop on his yellow hair, a yellow body, and two red buttocks. He turned out to be a monkey that looked exactly like Sun Wukong!
