Chapter 13 Painter 2. The strange painter

It was about twelve o'clock, and the two were already drunk. Wu Yu's alcohol tolerance was not very good, and he had already fallen asleep on the table. Therefore, he was unaware of the ringing of the phone. But Yunyun on the other end of the phone was very worried.
Su Wei woke Wu Yu up and told him that he had to go out for something and might not return to the old house at night. Wu Yu nodded, not quite understanding. The two came out of the bar and went their separate ways.
As he walked out of the bar, a gust of wind happened to blow by, and Wu Yu suddenly became much more sober. He rubbed his eyes and stumbled towards the old house.
After walking for a while, Wu Yu realized that the street was deserted and there was no one in sight. From time to time, cats jumped out from the dark corners, and the shrill sounds made Wu Yu feel even more gloomy and terrifying. He shuddered involuntarily and walked quickly towards the old house.
After walking for a while, Wu Yu began to feel something was wrong, as if someone was following him from behind, and a long shadow was slowly approaching. Wu Yu was shocked, and he turned around trembling, and saw a dark figure standing not far away from him. Under the dim street lights, he saw a pair of cold eyes staring at him intently.
"Are you a human or a ghost..." Wu Yu was so scared that he quickly stepped back, his teeth chattering.
The figure didn't say anything, still staring at him motionlessly. Wu Yu thought he was drunk and hallucinating, so he rubbed his eyes hastily, and when he looked over again, he saw that the figure had turned around and was walking lightly in the opposite direction of Wu Yu.
Wu Yu couldn't remember who the other person was, and thought to himself: "Could it be that he knows me?"
The figure walked slowly for a while, then stopped and turned to look at him, as if he knew Wu Yu's doubts. Wu Yu was puzzled and speculated based on the shadow's expression: "Did he ask me to follow him?"
The figure nodded at him, motioning Wu Yu to go ahead. Then he turned around and continued walking towards the street ahead.
Wu Yu hesitated for a few minutes, gritted his teeth, and followed bravely. He couldn't imagine why he followed, but subconsciously, he had a feeling that the other party seemed to have something important to tell him. He suddenly remembered that there was a mysterious person following him recently, and the other party might be it.
The figure was as light as a ghost. After walking to the end of the street, he turned alone into a small alley next to it.
Wu Yu was very careful , not daring to follow too closely, because he was still unclear about the other party's purpose; nor was he daring to stay too far away, for fear of losing him. Although it was already midnight and still a bit chilly, Wu Yu was already sweating all over.
The figure suddenly stopped at the end of the deep alley, and then turned around to look at him. There was almost no light in the alley, but the figure's walk was very familiar. Wu Yu could only distinguish it by the light of the phone.
"Come here, I will tell you everything you want to know." The other party made a rustling sound. If it were not so close, Wu Yu would definitely doubt whether it was a human voice.
Wu Yu could tell that it was an old man's voice, but after careful analysis, he was certain that it was definitely not the voice of Xinluo's grandfather.
"Who is he and why does he know about me?" Wu Yu thought anxiously. He wanted to ask, but found that his throat was so tense that he couldn't make any sound.
Wu Yu only heard the sound of the door opening, and then the old man went in. Wu Yu began to hesitate again. Should he go in? What if the old man had bad intentions?
Suddenly, the phone rang. It was Yunyun calling. She said anxiously, "Yu, why haven't you come back yet?"
Wu Yu trembled slightly, and seemed to wake up. He said, "Su Wei and I just came out of the bar. We will go back naturally in a while."
Yunyun listened without saying anything and hung up the phone angrily.
When Wu Yu looked back again, he found that the deep alley seemed particularly quiet and scary.
"Let's go for it!" Wu Yu put his phone in his pocket, looked up and walked towards the old man resolutely.
After entering, Wu Yu found that it was a small courtyard. There were several small houses , and there was a faint light similar to a lantern inside.
Wu Yu walked over in surprise and saw that the door was open. He took a deep breath and then went in.
As soon as I entered, I was shocked.
"Here it comes." The old man said quietly with his back to him.
"Who are you?" Wu Yu asked hesitantly.
The old man turned around slowly.
"Who are you..." Wu Yu was so frightened that he stepped back several times, knocking over the tables and chairs beside him. The "clang" sound made Wu Yu's legs go weak and he almost fell down.
"What's wrong? Do you feel weird?" The old man kept looking at Wu Yu with a strange look.
Wu Yu tried his best to calm himself down and not look so scared, and said, "I just didn't expect it to be you."
"Since you're here, please sit down first." The old man pointed to the fallen wooden chair next to Wu Yu.
Wu Yu picked up the wooden chair on the ground and sat down neatly.
"Do you know why I called you here tonight?" the old man said grimly.
"I think it should be about the painting of the lady." Wu Yu answered .
"Young man, you are really smart." The old man exclaimed.
