Chapter 13 How to Save Me
The Taoist priest's words opened the coffin, and immediately all of us changed our expressions.
The environment inside the ancestral hall was a little dark, with white strips posted everywhere. Candles were lit on the tables, and the candlelight was flickering, which invisibly added a touch of weird and eerie atmosphere to the place.
“The coffin cannot be opened.”
My father said this without any hesitation.
In our rural area, we would bury the deceased in peace and seal the coffin. Generally speaking, the coffin lid is closed and cannot be opened easily.
Not to mention that the Taoist priest cannot open it, even we cannot open it casually.
The Taoist priest said directly: "If it cannot be opened, then forget it, just pretend that I have never been here."
The Taoist priest turned back decisively. Seeing this, my uncle immediately put on a smile and pulled the Taoist priest aside and said, "Master, don't leave yet. Let's discuss something."
"What else is there to discuss? Can the coffin be opened just by discussing it?"
The Taoist priest said with dissatisfaction.
This Taoist priest really doesn't behave like a master at all.
After my cousin calmed the Taoist priest down, he came over and talked to my parents.
But after talking for a long time, my parents were still hesitant and couldn't make a decision. They also said they would ask my second and third uncles.
My father is a man without any opinions of his own. If he had gone to my second and third uncles to ask about this matter, I guess it would have been almost impossible for them to open the coffin.
The Taoist priest was probably really tired of us talking nonsense here, so he stepped forward and said, "I'm telling you the truth, if the coffin is not opened, he will definitely die."
The Taoist priest pointed at me.
My parents' faces immediately changed, and my mother immediately said, "Master, you must save my son."
"Yes, but the coffin must be opened first."
Although my father was still a little hesitant, this time my mother immediately decided to open the coffin, so he didn't dare to say anything.
A few of us went forward, and my mother and the Taoist priest watched from the side.
The three of us worked together and opened the lid of the coffin right away. Actually, I still felt a little guilty, and I also felt that my uncle's death had something to do with me.
But the moment the coffin was opened, all of our expressions changed.
Because there was no one in the coffin .
Looking at the empty coffin, we were all stunned and our hearts couldn't help but beat .
My heart couldn't help but rise to my throat.
"Dad, where is uncle's body?"
"I don't know either." My face was extremely pale, and beads of sweat were oozing out of my forehead. I could see that my father was extremely nervous at the moment.
The Taoist priest was calm, smiled and said, "It's quite interesting."
I saw that the Taoist priest was still laughing, so I couldn't help but ask, "Taoist priest, can you still laugh now?"
"What if I don't laugh?"
The Taoist priest asked me.
But I couldn't help but have a picture popping up in my mind: someone stole my uncle's body and used it to make zombies. I could n't help but feel creepy when I thought about it.
"Master, please help me find my uncle's body."
I said anxiously.
The Taoist priest shook his head, looked at me meaningfully and said, "Boy, you really need to change your impatient temper. Your uncle may not be dead."
The Taoist priest’s words made my head buzz.
But my uncle couldn't help but said, "Master , no way , we checked it with our own hands, and my cousin is already dead."
"Is he a fake corpse?"
my dad suddenly interrupted.
My father's words suddenly made the atmosphere here extremely solemn.
After my dad finished speaking, he probably sensed something was wrong, so he said, "Xiaoyang, your mom and I left for a short while today. Could it be that your uncle was resurrected at that time?"
When I heard him say this, I could only shake my head.
My parents were obviously frightened at this time, and the Taoist priest suddenly said, "You go back first, leave the things here to us."
There was no way my parents were willing to leave at this moment. After all, such a big thing had happened and they were most worried about my situation.
But the Taoist priest seemed to have found the secret to deal with my parents, and said that if they didn't leave, I would be in danger.
After hearing this, my parents didn't dare to delay any longer and could only choose to leave.
After my parents left, the mourning hall returned to silence.
The wind came in from the window outside, and a chill swept over my whole body.
I originally thought that the Taoist priest had some plan in taking my parents away, but I just watched him standing there without moving, his eyes fixed on the coffin.
I also stared at the coffin, but after looking at it for a while I couldn't make out anything.
Just when I was about to ask, the Taoist priest walked forward, squatted in front of the coffin, and knocked on it.
The sounds of "bang bang bang" continued to ring out.
My cousin was serving beside the Taoist priest. After the Taoist priest had knocked for a while, I suddenly saw him tearing off the black layer on the surface of the coffin.
I thought to myself that this Taoist priest must be a fool. The coffin is painted, how could it be possible to tear it off?
But it turned out that I was still too young, because the black color on the coffin was not paint, but wrapped in a black paper. When the black paper was torn off, red appeared inside.
And this red is not just pure red, it’s bright red.
When I saw this bright red color, I subconsciously felt that something might happen.
"Disciple, come and help."
My cousin responded, squatted down and tore off the black paper on the coffin. What came into view was a big red coffin, which gave people a creepy feeling just by looking at it.
“Who did this?”
I couldn't help but ask.
"It must have been done by your family's enemies. Someone wants to disturb your ancestral grave. After burying this red coffin, your family's ancestral grave will immediately become a place where yin gathers. Then the corpses in the ancestral graves of your village will resurrect."
The Taoist priest spoke slowly.
This coffin should not be prepared by my parents. If nothing unexpected happens, it should be the coffin made by my uncle himself in advance.
Could this be something my uncle did himself?
Considering that the Taoist priest just said that my uncle might not be dead, could this matter be related to my uncle?
Thinking of this, I suddenly felt a chill in my heart.
I thought about it for a while, and then I said to the Taoist priest: "Master, who do you think the enemy behind this is?"
The Taoist priest said calmly: "From the current perspective, your family's enemy should be able to control souls, refine corpses, use Feng Shui, and many other vicious spells. It is a difficult task to deal with him. You'd better pray for the best. You may not see the sun tomorrow."
I still felt a little nervous when I heard what the Taoist priest said.
My cousin is also a very honest man, and he immediately asked the Taoist priest to save me.
The Taoist priest smiled, his fair skin made him look like a woman.
"You can save him, but let's see if he has the courage."
