Chapter 123 Hot Pot and Mountain Climbers

"Trainer, Trainer! I want to eat that!" Zoroark pointed at a piece of beef excitedly and said excitedly. Heath picked up the chopsticks helplessly, picked up a piece of beef, dipped it in oil, and stuffed it into Zoroark's mouth.
"And this!" Zoroark pointed to another King Oyster Mushroom, and Heath picked it up and stuffed it into Zoroark's mouth. Zoroark is an omnivorous Pokémon. Heath originally thought that Zoroark was only interested in meat.
"Trainer, this mushroom is really strange." Zoroark muttered while eating and pointing at the King Oyster Mushroom in the hot pot.
"What's wrong?" Heath looked at Soraya in confusion. Could this mushroom be poisonous? But Heath often eats this stuff, and it's completely non-toxic.
"Look, it was long and hard, but after being placed in this hot thing for a while, it became soft and lifeless." Soraya licked his lips and said excitedly.
Heath's expression became strange. There was clearly nothing wrong with what he said, but why did it seem like there were problems when he thought about it carefully?
"And you see, there is a big head on its slender body." Zoroa had a playful smile on his face. Heath's mouth twitched and he gave Zoroa a brain-smashing slap in annoyance. This guy was really enough. He was just eating hot pot, how could he drive a car?
Fortunately, only Zoroark, a guy with a head full of yellow garbage, cares about these things, while Farfetch'd and Charmander obviously didn't understand what Zoroark said.
Then Heath had to pick up another pair of chopsticks and pick up a piece of tofu for the Onion Duck. Only Charmander made things easier for Heath, as it wanted a portion of roasted chicken leg. Charmander was more interested in the roasted chicken leg and had no interest in anything else.
"This hotpot is so tiring to eat. I won't eat it next time." Heath shook his head helplessly. If Pokémon can't use chopsticks, then eating hotpot becomes a physical job. For Heath, it is a physical job because he has to put the ingredients in and pick them up to feed his Pokémon. It is really exhausting.
Fortunately, Zoroark and Farfetch'd didn't have big appetites, so after feeding them for a while, Heath had finished, which also gave Heath time to eat by himself.
"Huh? There's actually a... restaurant here?" Just as Heath picked up a piece of beef with his chopsticks, he heard other people talking. Heath didn't have time to complain. He put down his chopsticks, wiped his hands, and stood up.
Being a chef is like this, you never know when customers will come. Sometimes you might be about to eat or take a break, but customers come instead.
If there was a restaurant, Heath could have put up a notice with the business hours, but nowadays, food trucks can't be so particular, so they can only make do with what they have.
Then Heath saw a bearded man with a backpack and a beard standing in front of Heath's food truck, looking at it curiously.
As soon as he saw this man, Heath thought of the mountaineer in the game. They looked exactly alike, with the same looks, especially the thick beard, which was very vivid.
"Hello, I'm the owner of the food truck. May I ask what you would like to eat?" Heath looked at the guest in front of him with a smile. Finally, someone from the Road to Championship came, but he didn't know what this guest did.
However, Heath had no interest in knowing what the guests were doing at Champion Road. He was more concerned about whether the guests wanted to eat something.
"Hey, it's too cold today. Do you have any hot meals?" The uncle in front of me rubbed his hands, exhaled hot air, and asked with a smile.
"Of course we have that. Braised pork rice is a hot meal." Heath nodded immediately. Basically all the food here is hot, but in such bad weather outside, a hot meal will probably get cold in no time.
"How much?" The uncle asked instead of rushing to buy it.
"Twenty Alliance Coins." Heath said a number he had thought of long ago. Originally, Heath only charged sixteen dollars for the braised pork rice, and four dollars were extra. After all, it would take some time to get from Evergreen City to the championship.
"No problem, give me one portion." The uncle paid quickly, and Heath began to busy himself with making the braised pork rice.
"Young man, why are you still open in such cold weather?" This uncle was obviously a talkative person. After deciding what he wanted to buy, he started chatting with Heath.
Heath was not surprised. In fact, as long as you work as a chef for a long time, you will meet all kinds of customers. Some customers are not very talkative and they don't talk much except when ordering and saying the name of the dish.
Some guests are like the uncle in front of him, who is very talkative and can quickly strike up a conversation with strangers. Of course, there are also other kinds of guests, such as busy people who keep making phone calls as soon as they come in, and urban women who touch up their makeup while eating.
"Well, I thought about coming to Champion Road to see if the business here would be better. Unexpectedly, we have only entertained two guests from yesterday to today." Heath said with a smile. He is also a talkative person.
"Hey, you came at a wrong time. The Road to Championship will only become lively when the Quartz League is held. Now, you can only meet a trainer who comes to train once every four or five days." The uncle stood at the edge of Heath's food cart and put his hands on the counter. It was warm inside the food cart.
Heath smiled awkwardly. He had thought that there would usually be quite a few people on the Road to Championship, but now that he thought about it, there really wouldn't be many people coming here . After all, if they wanted to exercise, they could do so in other places.
"Uncle, you are a trainer too, right?" Heath spread the chopped braised pork on the rice, put the cooked cabbage on it, and poured the sauce on it. A braised pork rice with a good texture and outstanding taste was ready.
"I'm not a trainer. I fantasized about it when I was young, but later I found that being a trainer was too expensive, so I switched to being a mountaineer." The uncle smiled heartily, and it can be seen that he is in a very good mood today.
Heath was stunned for a moment. He really was a mountaineer. I wonder what character GF referred to when designing the mountaineer man.
"When it snows, the roads are slippery, so you'd better not drive. Wait until the weather clears up and the roads are dry before driving. You can follow this road to the Alliance Headquarters on the Quartz Plateau and to Evergreen City." The uncle introduced to Heath very enthusiastically. Heath nodded gratefully. He still had to thank others for their kindness.
