Chapter 12 Selling Candy
Zhou Wulang and Zhou Liulang were old and felt a little embarrassed, but Datou was very brave. When he saw a child who he thought would buy candy, he went up to him and asked, "Do you want to buy candy?"
Manbao immediately held up the oil paper, opened it and showed it to him, and said proudly: "Our candy is very delicious, do you want to buy some?"
The child swallowed and looked at his parents.
The parents were not stupid. They asked, "This candy looks different from the candy we usually buy. Is it candy?"
"Of course, I've eaten them all." Manbao puffed out his chest and said, "They're delicious, better than the ones sold in the market."
The parents were a little amused and said, "You have eaten it, but we haven't. How do we know if you are lying?"
Manbao was stunned for a moment, then thought about it, so he took out a candy and generously held it out, "Then you guys try it?"
The child reached out to take it, but his parents immediately grabbed his hand and asked, "Are you taking advantage of this opportunity to ask us to buy it?"
"Of course not," Man Bao said righteously, "I would never do such a bad thing. You guys try it. If it's not real, I don't want any money."
Zhou Wulang thought Man Bao was particularly silly, and could not help but rushed over, took the candy, crushed it with his hands, and then picked up a small piece for them, "Here, you try it."
Zhou Wulang thought about it and felt that he couldn't just give the food to his parents, so he picked up a small piece and gave it to the child as well.
No one minded that the candy was ground by his hands. After tasting it, everyone's eyes lit up slightly.
This candy is much sweeter than the candy sold at the market.
The child's mother immediately asked, "How much is this candy?"
Manbao had discussed this with the system long ago, so he confidently quoted the price, "Five for one penny."
The child's mother's eyes flickered and she said, "It's too expensive. We can't afford it. Can it be cheaper?"
Manbao was a little disappointed. Seeing how well they were dressed, he thought they were quite wealthy.
She shook her head and said, "Forget it, let's find someone else."
After saying that, he pulled Big Head and ran to find the next customer, leaving the stunned parents behind. They were bargaining, not saying they would not buy. Shouldn't they be the ones who pretended to leave and waited to be retained?
When Zhou Wulang and Zhou Liulang saw this, they secretly praised their sister for her courage. They had tasted the candy before and felt that it was worth much more than the money it cost.
You know, the sugar sold in the market is also priced at this price.
Manbao left without hesitation, and now the customer was unwilling to accept it. He quickly chased after the child and stopped him, asking, "Can't you make it cheaper?"
This price was set by Keke after helping Manbao analyze the situation. In fact, the initial price was three pills for one cent, because Keke believed that the sugar content in their pills would be much higher than the current sugar.
The higher the value, the higher the price.
But Manbao heard from Keke that the candies sold at the market were five pieces for one cent. She felt that if hers were more expensive, they would not be sold. Anyway, she had points and was not short of candies, so she generously said that she could set the same price as at the market.
So, Manbao knew what was going on. She knew that this was the lowest price. She was a very principled child and would never lower the price.
And she didn't think that the parents were bargaining, she just thought they couldn't afford it, so she looked at the little boy with regret and shook her head to refuse.
This sight made the child very sad, so sad that he immediately burst into tears, hugged his mother's legs and shouted, "I want to buy candy, I want to buy candy."
The parents felt that the child was a little ungrateful. What was wrong with lowering the price?
Seeing that they looked unhappy, Zhou Wulang and Zhou Liulang stepped forward and stood behind Manbao.
The parents paused for a moment, then forced a smile and said, "Forget it, we'll take whatever you have."
Manbao stared, are you so rich?
She immediately opened her oil paper and said happily, "Twenty in total, four cents."
The couple frowned , "Didn't you just crush one?"
Zhou Wulang immediately stretched out the candy in his hand and said, "We have never eaten it."
The couple said, "Then we don't want it either. Please ask for less money. We bought so much."
Zhou Wulang was furious, but Manbao took out a candy from somewhere and put it on the oil paper. He looked at the couple happily and said, "Here, isn't this better? You can count it."
The couple: ...
They counted them and asked again, "Can you exchange them for something else?"
Little Manbao finally sensed their hostility, covered his face with the oil paper, and refused, "No."
Zhou Wulang thought it was okay, so he poked Manbao on the back. Manbao twisted his body, turned around and glared at him, saying, "You have to pay for medicine in the pharmacy, not eggs or grain."
The couple then realized that they wanted to buy medicine. After thinking it over, they decided not to bargain and counted out four cents to give them.
Manbao never had a lot of money. During the Chinese New Year, all the red envelopes given by her parents, brothers, and nephews and nieces were handed over, but she was the only one who could keep the money for herself.
But this was the first time she actually earned money by herself, so she looked at the four cents carefully, and after finding that they were no different from before, she carefully put them into her handkerchief and held it tightly.
Zhou Wulang waited until they left before saying to Man Bao, "It's too cheap. Ours is really good candy."
"That's how it's sold at the market," Manbao insisted.
"Rice is divided into low-quality, medium-quality and high-quality . Different rice has different prices. Our sugar must be high-quality, so it is more expensive." Zhou Wulang said, "If they don't believe that our sugar is good, we can crush it and let them taste a little bit like we did this time."
Manbao thought about it carefully and thought it was a good idea. He asked Koko again and when he saw that he agreed, he nodded and said, "Okay, let's do it this way next time."
Having earned money, everyone's eyes fell on the broken candies in Zhou Wulang's hand, and they all swallowed their saliva at the same time.
After earning money with candy, Manbao finally felt the beauty of candy, and she also thought it was delicious. She distributed it to everyone, so that everyone could get a small piece, and she put the remaining little into her mouth.
There was only a very small piece, and as soon as it touched the tip of her tongue, a hint of sweetness spread out, then the sugar melted, and she swallowed it and it was gone.
Manbao blinked and felt that this little bit of candy tasted better than any candy she had eaten before.
She felt very strange and asked Keke, "I never thought this candy was delicious before, Keke, did you change the variety?"
The system said: "No, same variety, same manufacturer, the difference is because the host finally feels the rarity and benefits of sugar, right?"
Manbao didn't quite understand what was said, but she had her own understanding. "Does it mean that candy tastes better after it has been sold? Great! From now on, I will sell all the candies and keep one to eat. This way it will taste better."
The system remained silent and did not stop her.
Sell it. If you want to sell, you have to buy. If you have spent all your points, you should go earn points, right?
