Chapter 11 The Past
Richard stood up and shook hands with Liang Xi: "Then we will wait for your good news."
"Okay." Liang Xi glanced at the Bluetooth headset hanging on Richard's ear. In his opinion, Richard was just a messenger. It seemed that there was a big story behind this case. However, a detective should be curious, but also not curious. If you help a bad guy do something bad without knowing it, it is not a big problem in law. It is similar to a taxi driver carrying a killer to kill people. The one who knows is a criminal, and the one who doesn't know is a witness. The more you know, the worse the sentence will be, and the faster you will die.
After sending Richard away, Liang Xi was so excited that he jumped up and clenched his fists. What did 50,000 pounds represent? For Liang Xi, who had no lofty ambitions, 50,000 pounds meant that he could at least survive for one or two years.
Find something? Not difficult. You know, the best at finding things are not detectives, but thieves.
At this point, I have to introduce Liang Xi's background. Liang Xi's father was a magician who performed with the circus all over the country and participated in various carnivals. Liang Xi became his father's assistant when he was three years old. Unfortunately, the good times did not last long, because Liang Xi's father was away from home all year round, and his mother eventually chose to divorce, and soon married a man and left the UK.
After the divorce, Liang's father was very depressed and began to drink and stay out all night. He did not realize that the reason for the divorce was that he spent too little time at home, and attributed the main reason to poverty. So at a dinner table, several magicians from the circus formed a burglary gang, taking advantage of the opportunity of a national tour to commit crimes all over the country.
This method of committing crimes continued until Liang Xi was six years old. Because of the special building structure of the theft target, Liang Xi became the youngest member of a theft gang. In order to make his father happy, Liang Xi worked hard to train. When Liang Xi succeeded in the theft, Liang Xi saw his father's rare smile to him, and Liang Xi also gained a sense of accomplishment at this moment.
Thanks to his small stature and quick learning, Liang Xi's stealing skills improved by leaps and bounds. In addition, everyone liked him and taught him all their skills. After three years of training from the age of 6 to 9, Liang Xi became a professional thief.
If you walk along the river, you will get your feet wet. Finally one day, the thief gang was spotted by the police in Liverpool. Because of the night and heavy rain, they had a car accident while escaping. Three thieves, including Liang's father, died, one thief was injured, and Liang Xi was lucky enough not to have even a scratch. After the thief was arrested, he confessed everything, and all the assets of Liang Xi's family, including the house and other real estate, were confiscated. Liang Xi entered the Lifuyuan, and therefore went to the Blue Jacket School.
The Blue Jacket School is a charity school. Almost all the students there are orphans. Liang Xi, who had just arrived at the school, performed two wonderful magic tricks, which were immediately known by the bad kids in the senior grades. They forced Liang Xi to help them steal money and things. After being beaten several times, Liang Xi had no choice but to succumb to violence. After living like this for about a year, Liang Xi finally met John in a restaurant, and his life took a turn.
When searching for things in a house, Liang's father's friend Hei Shu thought that no one in the world could be more suitable than Liang Xi. Liang Xi always found the most valuable property in the target family. Liang Xi showed his detective talent of observation, reasoning and judgment since he was a child. He could find hidden safes and secret doors based on the details such as the conversations of the owners and the furnishings in the house. The most exciting time was when he took a necklace worth 100,000 pounds from the neck of a woman in an oil painting. The necklace was disguised by the owner, a master of oil painting, and even fooled the insurance personnel, but not Liang Xi.
Therefore, Liang Xi was full of confidence in breaking into the room to find things. At the same time, he admired Charlie and the others for being able to find a genius in finding things like him.
Liang Xi's thinking was of course a teasing and self-boasting mentality. He never thought that he was really the genius in finding things that the other party thought he was. Charlie didn't know John at all, and Charlie's target was him.
…
At 5 p.m., in the alley across the street from the detective agency, a hooded man watched Liang attack the Beetle and called, "Eagle, he's in the car."
"Hummingbird, don't follow him. Pass him and go near the apartment building."
“Roger that,” the hummingbird replied.
In a large villa by the Thames, a man in his 35s hung up the phone, put the phone on the table, and asked, "Can you find this Liang Xi?"
The person he was questioning was a black man in his 50s, who was sitting on a chair with his hands and feet tied to the chair with cable ties and handcuffs, with a bruised face and scars all over his body. The man was Liang Xi's accomplice from more than a decade ago: Uncle Hei.
Uncle Hei answered confidently: "He is the only person I know who can find it."
The man asked, "White egret?"
The red-haired female hacker sitting on the left answered: "Liang Xi's navigation destination is the location we gave him."
The man said nothing more, picked up the coffee on the table, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, admired the outdoor scenery, and slowly savored the coffee.
Half an hour later, Hummingbird connected: "Eagle, I'm near the apartment building. There are several warning signs near the apartment building that will be demolished within a limited time. The time of demolition is written on them."
The man is the eagle: "Is there a security guard?"
Hummingbird replied: "The back door is not clear. There is a security vehicle blocking the entrance to the road, and two security guards are chatting."
Eagle: "Send the photo."
Hummingbird: “Understood.”
Egret: "Received the photos and are comparing them."
Old Eagle took the coffee and walked towards Uncle Hei. Uncle Hei was terrified and said, "Boss, I'll tell you everything I know. I won't hide anything."
Old Eagle nodded and pointed at Uncle Hei : "I believe you. So you are useless." He glanced at the man standing next to Uncle Hei.
The man put the plastic bag that he had prepared long ago over Uncle Hei's head.
While Uncle Black was struggling desperately, Eagle walked to the coffee machine, put the cup away, and ground another cup of coffee. When the coffee was ground, Uncle Black was already dead.
Egret reported: "Eagle, the security guard's identity has been revealed. He is a MI5 uniformed guard." Uniformed guards are equivalent to security guards and auxiliary police. They are not regular police officers, but personnel recruited from within the department. Their jobs are mostly to maintain order, and drivers and other people do not involve sensitive and confidential matters. Why not use police officers? Because the normal income of a regular police officer is enough to hire three uniformed guards. Each agency has a financial budget, and the money deducted from the personnel can be used to purchase additional equipment for the department.
After hearing the explanation, Eagle was a little surprised: "MI5? No wonder, no wonder even Viper was dispatched, what on earth is it?" The use of uniformed guards showed that MI5 did not care too much about this building.
Hummingbird reported: "When Liang Xi arrived nearby, he drove his car directly to the front of the apartment building and got out to negotiate with the two security guards."
Eagle questioned: "The 'negotiation' with the gun?"
Hummingbird: "No, it's just verbal negotiation."
Eagle: "Fuck, I found a fool."
Hummingbird: "The security guard was a little overwhelmed."
Eagle: "What?"
Hummingbird: "Security is on the phone."
Hummingbird: "The security guard stepped back and made a gesture for him to come in."
Eagle asked, "Are you sure he didn't have a pistol?"
Hummingbird: "He's holding a cell phone."
Eagle asked: "Blast the phone?"
Hummingbird: “It doesn’t look like it.”
Eagle became interested: "Interesting."
