Chapter 11 Calculation

Chapter 11 Calculation

Tarasha hid in the dark, and she was ready to leave after watching the doctor confirm that Max could not be saved.

Perhaps out of curiosity or because she was here, Tarasha did not leave directly. She fled to the backyard, and as if expected, Selsi sneaked in.

Selsi had her back to her, and Tarasha did not escape either.

Like an oil painting, she looked at the crowd in the bright light, and the people in the dark looked at her.

"Here she comes."

Selsi did not turn around, but she knew that the person she was waiting for was here.

That hidden sight was so scorching to her.

Tarasha showed up and said, "Here she comes."

They did not say too much, as if they had been running in for many years, there were no other questions, and all the answers were in their hearts.

"Please help me save them."

Selsi turned around, her eyes were so deep.

Tarasha swallowed the words of refusal, "Okay."

She didn't know why she agreed. If it were someone else, she would have left long ago. Looking at those eyes, it seemed to have the magic to suck people in.

"Just consider it as a way to repay her for saving me." She lowered her eyes and put away her fragility. She had clearly said not to get close to anyone, but...

when she raised her eyes, she regained her coldness.

"How to do it?" She crossed her arms, looking forced.

Seeing her like this, Selsi just wanted to laugh. Maybe she didn't know that she looked like a weird kitten.

But she didn't laugh. Hidden under this weirdness was the fragility of the past.

Selsi briefly introduced the magic array to Tarasha. "The first clue of Macas is broken. We may have to find the devil to solve it." Selsi speculated, "But where can we find the devil? The devil will only look for people with desires." This is the problem now.

Tarasha was even more confused. Even before, she could not touch this kind of forbidden technique.

"Maybe Valeria knows." Selsi thought of Valeria's attitude towards the backyard. In addition to her disdain for civilians, there were some inexplicable emotions, such as excitement, the excitement of holding other people's secrets.

"Let's go back to the front hall first. Staying here for too long will make people suspicious."

Selsi decided immediately. Tarasha merged into her shadow and joined her, but they were still too late. Now all the doors were blocked.

The guards in the lobby were interrogating one by one. All the doors and windows were guarded, and they couldn't get in at all.

Several guards came to the backyard and found them. They walked quickly.

"How did you sneak out?" Tarasha asked softly beside Selsi's ear.

Selsi yawned in her dress and covered her mouth with her hand. "Otherwise, how can I say sneak out?"

The guards came in front of them, and Selsi immediately put down her hands and answered the guards' sharp questions without any humility.

"Who are you and why are you here?"

"I am Evangeline, the bard invited by the count. I was too depressed by the tragedy just now. I wanted to come out and take a breath, and I walked here unknowingly."

"The guards blocked all the doors and windows as soon as the incident happened. Your explanation is not valid!"

The guards approached step by step, determined not to let go of any suspect.

"Where were you when the crime happened?"

"Oh, dear, that may be because I am more sensitive. I was talking to Master Kahar in the lobby when the crime happened. You can verify this with him. I believe the guests also witnessed it."

The guards kept asking piercing questions, and Selsi answered calmly, repeatedly emphasizing that she came out to get some fresh air after the crime happened.

"I am really sorry for the trouble caused by sneaking out, but death..."

"I am just an ordinary person, but it is so close to me, I dare not even think if that person is next to me!"

When she was moved, Selsi lowered her head and covered her face, and her crying voice was sharp.

"And the earl is dead, who will pay me? I haven't received the money yet!"

This is really devastating.

The guards should believe that she really had no motive for committing the crime. Her collapse when she mentioned that she had no money was deafening.

Before the guards turned around and left, Selsi sobbed and asked, "Where is Miss Leviston? I have something to say to her."

The guard frowned, and because of this sentence, he became more vigilant against her.

"The young lady is dealing with her father's urgent affairs. If you have any questions, I can answer them for you."

It means that his young lady is very busy now, so don't bother her.

The guard's tone was very heavy, and Selsi forced a smile. "In that case, then

I won't bother you." The guard hurried away, and before leaving, he did not forget to have someone take her into the hall.

"You are a great actor."

The person in the shadow commented.

"It seems that we need to find a way to find her alone."

Tarasha glanced around the hall, and all the doors and windows were guarded. Unlike Tarasha's tension, Selsi was very relaxed. She wiped away the tears from her shouting with her hands, and even felt like sighing, "These guards are really dedicated."

Feeling Tarasha's unhappy eyes, she chuckled, "We don't need to look for her, she will come to us by herself."

Selsi's confidence made Tarasha even more nervous. Was she so sure that everything was calculated? Then what part did she play in it?

The familiar sense of the unknown made her feel difficult for the first time in a long time.

Selsi could feel Tarasha's gradually rising murderous intent towards her, but she did not explain.

All calculations are just to achieve one goal.
